You’re right Fabrizio, TV rights and sponsorship will be added as a source of income. Maybe we should do that before reducing the stadiums. We’ll see.
Cheers!
Here we have a hard decision Henrique. One possible solution would be make the competitions happen simultaneously during the whole season, with greater intervals between the rounds. We’ll study that possibility and see if it will fit well in our calendar.
Cheers!
Seems to be a translation related problem…are you using brazilian portuguese? I’ll remove the translations anyway, until I make sure everything is working.
Cheers!
The time to fire an inactive manager hasn’t changed yet, but it will, 1 month (current) for managers on vacation and 1 week for the rest. And I agree that will help managers not having lots of players free transfered by accident.
Cheers!
I’ve just changed mine to test Fabrizio, and it worked. We haven’t changed anything on that yet, so it should be working. Which browser are you using? Let us know if the problem persists.
Cheers!
I must agree with you Philipp, even though the L&F is better it is now worse to use them, specially on high resolution screens.
There are so many good ideias here I’d like to have more time to spend on RS development :-D
We’ll do our best guys, keep them coming!
Cheers!
Holiday mode implemented. Now you have the option Go on vacation on your team’s screen. There are only two things that will be automatically managed for you while you’re on vacation: contract renewals and youth hiring (if your team has not reached the player limit). Besides that, the inactivity period allowed before being fired will be greater for managers on vacation.
When you enter a dimension you automatically return from vacation.
Cheers!
One ideia came to my mind, probably from Football Manager. The Board could make a certain quantity of money available for transfers to be used during the season, and a quantity to be used to new wages. I’ll give an example.
Let’s say a team has $10M. On season start, the board tells the manager he/she has $7M available for transfers, and $200k for the sum of the wages for new hires. The manager hires a $2M player paying a 20k wage. After that the balance would be $8M, being $5M available for transfers and $180k left for new wages. If the team sells a player during the season, a percentage of the sold player transfer value would be added to the money available for transfers.
What do you guys think?
Cheers!
I liked your considerations Tiago, I’ll add a few enhancements to our list. The only problem here is allowing same network trades, multiple account users could still benefit from that. We still need a better monitoring system on transfers before allowing that.
Cheers!
CPU teams are really awful in negotiations, I must agree. We didn’t spend much time on CPU teams, we tried to focus on human managers. We’ll see what can be done to improve their logic, like improve their offers to players, use youths on friendly matches, and better evaluate players in a whole before deciding whether or not to buy or sell.
About losing players for not renewing, well, regular players can have their contracts renewed 36 turns before the contract end, and youths 12 turns (here is the worst problem I guess). Holiday mode will help everybody on this subject. The ideia is that when you enter holiday mode all your contracts will be renewed automatically and youths will be hired (unless the team reaches the 30 players limit). Another solution would be allow youth signing earlier as you suggested, and I like this ideia :-)
Cheers!
Brazilian Portuguese translation is partially done. I’m still reviewing all screens and have already spotted some mispelled words and untranslated text. Hope to finish that until the beginning of next week.
Cheers!
I think your complaints are fair Hugo. We were afraid the economy could reach such level. We’ll study the situation and see what can be done. Suggestions from everybody are welcome, as always :-)
Cheers!
Added ground maintenance to team expenses. It’s the first step towards all stadiums reduction and the possibility to increase the number of seats.
Cheers!
Nice! Graphics are always welcome :-)
Cheers!
Your feedback is very important Renaud! I guess the economy is the way it is because teams don’t have other things to spend money with. I was planning to reduce all stadiums to 10,000 (probably with a compensation for poor teams) and start charging for ground maintenance (not much, of course). That would decrease dramatically everybody’s income and make people spend money in increasing the number of seats in their stadiums.
Answering your question, I think you should stay, specially to help us making a more balanced, interesting and fun game for everybody!
Cheers!
Team logos added to the team info screen. Their size is something around 25×25 to fit in our design, more than that would be too large. We hope everybody like this new addition, I’ve had a hard time finding, resizing and adding transparency to all logos. :-)
Please let us know if you see a logo that doesn’t correspond to the team.
Cheers!
Wow, I’ve just finished reviewing ALL team info screens and you guys have already posted positive opinions here. That’s great, sounds like it was worth the effort! :-)
About the size Alexandre, I know they pretty small, but believe me, larger than that would not look good in our design, specially when most icons are 20×20.
Anyway, let us know what you think about this new addition and of course, let us know if any logo is wrong.
Cheers!
BEAST is the provider of our forums and we use their error page :-)
Anyway, the error should be fixed by now.
Cheers!
If we have those Rests you’ve added Ricardo we won’t have room for all IC matches when lots of european countries are added. CL for instance will need 19 dates when all phases are there (2 for Q1, 2 for Q2, 2 for Q3, 6 for the group phase, 2 for the round of 16, 2 for the quarter finals, 2 for the semifinals and 1 for the final. That’s the plan we have now for CL when we have all european countries:
Round – Turns
Q1 – 68, 71
Q2 – 77, 80
Q3 – 86, 89
Groups – 95, 98, 101, 104, 107, 110
Round of 16 – 116, 119
Quarter finals – 125, 128
Semi finals – 134, 137
Final – 143
National cups for countries with lots of divisions will take 8 rounds to end, so 15 dates. That’s the plan:
First round – 7, 10
Round of 128 – 16, 19
Round of 64 – 25, 28
Round of 32 – 34, 37
Round of 16 – 43, 46
Quarter finals – 52, 55
Semi finals – 61, 64
Final – 70
As you can see, if a team reach the finals in such a country and is qualified for Q1 in CL he’ll have to play 5 official matches in a row (68-CL, 69-League, 70-Cup final, 71-CL and 72-League). I know that is not likely to happen, just want to show you that we already have a tight schedule in our plans to avoid 3 matches for week for teams playing in all 3 types of competitions. Now that everybody have the numbers it is easier to give suggestions :-)
Cheers!
Ricardo, if you call back a player you’ll have to pay the other team the number of turns left for the loan to end times the loan wage, in other words, 3 times the amount of wage the loaned player would receive from the loan team. So your example is exactly what happens except that this value is not what team B would pay in wages, but 3 times this value, as wages are paid every 3 turns.
Cheers!
I think you would be able to trade by now Ricardo. We have in our plans something to make the restriction expire when someone has not used a specific machine or network for a certain period.
Cheers.
You cannot buy a player who is owned (or was free transfered) by someone who has ever played in the same computer or network as you. That is made to prevent people with multiple users (which is not allowed) to trade with each other. Unfortuantely that prevents friends or relatives who use the same network or computer to play the game from dealing with each other, but it is not a big deal if in exchange we can make the market a fair place.
Cheers!
That’s how it works now Fabrizio, I mean, if we had more countries in the game :-)
Cheers!
Those of you who are playing international cups and have qualified for the next round have received two messages telling who will be your next opponent. Sorry for that, only now the original tick problem has been fixed.
Cheers!
To be honest that was not on our plans, but it is possible (at least with the number of teams we have now) and could make things a little more interesting. We’ll discuss that. Anybody else has something to say about this?
Cheers!
You’re right thorpedo, the bug we had earlier today caused some of the suspensions not to be cleared. It is not an easy task finding out which suspension should have been cleared. Sorry for that :-(
Cheers!
We already have a volunteer to translate the game to Portuguese from Portugal: Filipe Alexandre. Thanks Filipe!
One needed for Spanish.
Cheers!
Ok, working on the problem. FastTicker is ok, just need to check for any non-generated youths (that’s where the errors happened, no ideia why). As this error led to a delay of 1 tick we’ll compensate that changing the times of the next ticks. Here is the schedule in brazilian time (GMT -3:00, with DST)
now – 9:35
next tick (international competitions)- 11:00 (in about one hour and a half)
league tick – 14:00
friendlies tick – 16:00
international competitions (no official matches I guess) – 19:00
back to normal after that
Sorry for that guys.
Cheers!
Just saw that, will look into it.
