The difference between the number of teams in some championships causes an unfair fight for the International Cups. Let’s take as example my championship (England) against the Portuguese championship. England has 20 teams battling for the title and in Portugal there are only 16. By the time English teams meet Portuguese teams in CL or in the UEFA Cup the Portuguese league has ended while the English premiership is still alive and kicking. The English managers are forced to manage their players according to their stamina while the Portuguese managers are focused 100% in the International Cup. Not fair, I think…

My proposal: start the smaller leagues later so that in the end every team has the same conditions.

Here we have a hard decision Henrique. One possible solution would be make the competitions happen simultaneously during the whole season, with greater intervals between the rounds. We’ll study that possibility and see if it will fit well in our calendar.
