… so nobody is against it. Can we try one of the options mentioned above? (just if it doesnt take too much time from more important tasks/enhancements)

Sergio, every time one of the sides of a transaction is trying to cheat we cannot validate the transaction. Even though you are innocent, the manager who sold you the player is not, and was already banned from the game. In such cases, the transaction is compromised. There is no such thing as arbitrary change of rules. We always try to be fair and keep the game free from cheaters as much as possible. If all the time we spend on cheating prevention/detection was spent on new features this game would be at least one year ahead. Sometimes these decisions affect honest managers like you, but their purpose is to keep the game fair. We’ve already rolled back a transaction from a friend of us, the situation was exactly the same.
The desire of the developers is a fun and fair game for everybody. We’d be much happier if nobody was trying to cheat and such decisions didn’t have to be made. I hope you understand us.
Cheers!

Loan clauses improvement.

When listing a player for loan you’re now able to specify the minimum level of coaching desired and the maximum number of official matches that can be missed. Teams wishing to loan your player must have at least the level of coaching you specify. If after loaning your player their coaching is downgraded below that level the player will return to your team. The second condition is a way to guarantee your player will play official matches while loaned, if that’s your intention. If the player misses more matches than you wanted, he will return to your team.
For existing loans the minimum coaching level is set to 0 and maximum number of matches missed is not specified, meaning the player can miss any number of matches without penalty. We decided that it wouldn’t be fair to include loan clauses on existing loans, as they were not there when the player was loaned. Individual situations can be discussed in game.
Cheers!

During the last week one of my transactions was rolled back in the name of game fairplay. This act of autoritarism perpetrated by one of the game developers was actually very unfair because i’m not responsible for the actions of other managers.

If the game rules are arbitrarily changed by the developers to match their desire the purpose of this game should be pleasing the game developes and not managing.

Here goes an extract of the exchanged mails:

>From: Danilo Castillho
>Subject: Re: suspicious transaction I´m sorry, but our priority is to keep the fairplay. >Sometimes teams have losses in the name of that priority, but I am sure you will be able to find >a good deal to replace that player, if you search the market.

>In a near future we will try to come up with a way to have a more fair situation when one of the >teams did not take confirmed part on the suspicious transaction. But for now unfortunately we >don’t have.

>If you have any further questions please let me know.

>cheers

>>>From: Sérgio Freitas
>>That’s very unfair because i bought the player according to the game rules and it was very important for my participation on the uefa cup.

>>>From: Danilo
>>>Antorio Viraldo has sold one of his best players for an unrealistic price. That is the reason why. And now he was fired for unactivity, which points one more reason for me to maintain my decision.
>>>
>>>I hope you understand that we have to maintain the fairplay in our game.
>>>
>>>regards

>>>>From: Sergio Freitas
>>>>I dont now why?

>>>>>From: Game Masters
>>>>>Subject: Transaction Rolled Back
>>>>>
>>>>>The last transfer involving player Rogério Sampaio was rolled back by the game masters.

Almost done, just need to finish and test the logic to return a player when he is not playing, which is the most important piece of this enhancement :)

Don’t worry Sly, I’m not changing anything anytime soon, specially without a convincing yes, as you said :)
If people keep complaining about that I’ll do an official poll so more people can give their opinions. In the other hand, if we already had a convincing yes I could work on something earlier, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Cheers!

Are there any updates? I’m still in the same situation. I loaned a player who isn’t playing. So please, could you try and come up with some possible way to recall the player. He’s losing valuable playing time. I was actually subbing him myself and then noticed on 1 day I loaned him out. I was happy to see this at first, but now I’m regretting it since he’s NOT PLAYING!!

well I dón’t think 5 vs 4 is a very convincing yes. I would like to see double this in order for you to push it through. I’M REALLY REALLY NOT LIKING THIS IDEA!!!!!!!!. You are making it harder for smaller teams this way because of the reasons stated above. FOR GODSAKE PLEASE THINK THIS THROUGH!!! Please keeps things as they are now, since I think people are just to darn inpatient…..that’s why they now want to change things. It’s only been 2 seasons since the change and you already want to change it again? Common…just wait it out for another 3-5 seasons ATLEAST!!

It is too easy at the moment, but in MS strong youth could refuse to renew contract with weak team, we also had clauses like BCC or relegation. Now we can keep the players forever

I had a wrong substitution during my champions lieague game, i had 2 players coming in at minute 70, instead of 1, and i had a substitution that wasnt made. the player coming in was bruno Caudron that was about to be loaned.

In the past all the shots in a penalty shootout were displayed, now we have a bug and they’re not displayed anymore. The player order is based in the shooting skill. So it’s a combination of luck and skill ;)

Nothing, in any way of the game, should be too predictive. But some core of the logic (income, player skills, improvement, etc.) need to be pre-adjusted, and that’s what we were talking about – for the the “improvement logic”

damago, i am not sure whether these one-off cases are always possible and are really the norm of this game system… what if a team doesn’t have 10 millions to spend???
but yes i would agree you on developing. i got one striker for 1.4 million (23 years) went from 83 to 88 in 60 turns and has developed 15 points in total, and he is still developing. But i am not sure if everyone will release such important players every time.

But then, if the selling team doesn’t have strong coaching skills then, we have more opportunity to develop that player.

bruno… firing would cost 2 millions, but then keeping him in the team for seasons could cost even more, specially if he is not a good player…

but if he is a good player then, try to make the most of him by playing him as many matches… that is the only thing we could say… firing good player may lead you to lose incomes from merchandise, so, beware of that part …

and sometimes when the players improve, their transfer value gets readjusted. and who knows when that happens, you might start loving him…

ya… i guess what you have done to netherlands is pretty unfair… i would welcome any of your moves to rectify those…

but then, i am pretty new, so, i don’t know what was the condition of other leagues when they were started…

ya… thhose percenctages were never going to be hardcoded… that would take away all the fun… and the system would be too much predictable… when we meant x% it was always going to be around or at an average for all the players…

vaughn, yes small teams are in disadvantage….. like in the real game. But there is always a way around… you have to find opportunities, even on the market,,,, i just got a player for 10 mill than in 74 turns went from 87 to 97 shooting skill……. that is cheap in today´s market…. and so many others…..

salud,

Gabriel..you say that player wages are to low?! i started in a small team with not alot of good players. Working my way up is what i want and not join a “big club”. Making players asking for more wages will only disadvantage the smaller teams and make bigger teams more powerfull. I find it hard to buy good players with the ammount they are asking at this time, sure you need to save money to buy one…but 1/2 seasons saving now would make me like 10mil ish..i can’t buy a “good” players for that in this time. So you saying that all small teams later on will need to save years for they can buy good players?!

HI Bruno,
Unfortunately there’s not much we can do. It is possible that the previous manager had to offer this high wage cause the player was being disputed by other teams. If it is having a great negative impact on your finances you can try to loan him to other teams or even fire him in the worst case.
Cheers!

The random factor is there and will be there anyway. The percentages I posted are not exact, but an average, so there will be players getting less potential in the beginning and more later on. This is part of the fun :)

Hi, i’d like to know what can be done about this…

i have a player whose contract i believe was “renewed” right before i take control of the team by the last Coach “Renato Bombardi” now at “Torino”…
Don’t know if it was to harm my team ou myself as the next coach…
but can anything be done ? The Player salary is at $70,200 and his value as tranfer is $1,680,490 … “http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/player_info/51840”

thanks,
Bruno
