You probably access the game using http://rubysoccer.com while our mail links use http://www.rubysoccer.com

So, if you use the www version to access the game you won’t be logged out when clicking on a mail link ;)

Hi there,

I have this bug now for a very long time. I thought everyone would have this and it would get fixed eventually.
But that’s a dream.

I open my mail and click on a match result or a player negotiation I am immediately logged out and have to login again.

What’s wrong ?

Thanks,
Rik

After 144 turns you can be hired by the same team again.

Manager fired.

Thanks!

Why was Leon Geuze Contracted by RKC Waalwijk on Season 26 Turn 92, fired for inactivity. on Season 27 Turn 31, then contracted again on Season 28 Turn 44?

I thought that if you were fired from a team, you could not get hired by the same team.

What happened here?

@Nirabdha: I didn’t think about it, for most Brazilians (me included) when you’re talking about a team it’s obviously a football club :P

But if you guys want to know I’ll include another team to my list:

Basketball – Flamengo

Their is a downside to that restriction:

A manager puts in an application to loan a player before 10PM at night and then goes to bed afterwards. He receives the loan player at the 10PM tick, but as he is asleep at the time can’t put him in his lineup. If the game at 2AM happens to be an official game (i.e. FA cup), it counts as a missed match.

I know of this situation happening, as a person I know who plays the game got a loan player at the 10PM tick and woke up the next morning to find that he had received a message after 2AM in the morning asking why the loaned player wasn’t in his lineup and had missed a game.

So you need some leeway their to allow for situations like these.

i was just referring to the teams in general, not football clubs… You know, the cricket is hugely popular in India, thus it would be a tough competition. Regarding the football clubs, you are probably right:) ( i did not mean to understand the “team” mentioned in the topic to be a football team, being an off topic forum:)

I doubt Indian or Chinese people care that much about football to have a club with more fans than Flamengo :D

Interesting…I prefer the more restrict contract rule saying the player can’t miss any matches or just 1 match.

I’ve read that we had contracts fee if someone brokes the contract and it was used to transfer money from teams, but I suggest to implement a fee if you brake the contract and no one receive this money. So if you broke the contract you will lose an amount of money but the other team will not receive it. (Like governament tax).

This will avoid loaned players that go to the beanch after a better one was loaned.

Other option is to make more restrict contracts rules, like just 1 game miss or if who lend can bring the player back anytime.

Injury names and periods of recovery don’t always match each other on RubySoccer. I agree this is something we need to look at, or we may just remove the injury name and show the period of recovery ;)

Vasco’s Jorge Quadros was injured in Série A match between Vasco and Goiás in Season 14, Turn 117, Quadros was badly tackled by Tom Kelly, at the 35th minute, the result of this was Quadros with a Broken Leg and Kelly with a Red Card, Quadros will miss the next 24 Turns of the season (turned into real life, 24/144=16% of the year, which equals to 61 days in real life [2 months]) and Kelly only missed 1 match after being sent off with a red card.

Think about this

Accidents DO happen, and EVERY player can have an injury at any given time, the best example Eduardo da Silva from Arsenal. Eduardo suffered a broken left fibula and also a dislocation of the left ankle this happened on 23 February 2008 he had surgery, and did not recover in 2 months, it took him almost 1 year to play again, his first match was on 16 February 2009 that would be 358 days, in RubySoccer time that would be more like 358/365=98% ….. 141 turns not 24 turns

I think this need to be looked at and make it a little more realistic. breaking a leg is not going to heal in 2 months, it actually takes more like 6 months to a year. specially for Athletes because once the bone heals, there need to be therapy so that the ligaments and muscles can regain form.

Very cool to have, but I hope everyone here realizes that to some degree Ruby is still trailing Managersim. Managersim already had a detailed history. I wouldn’t mind seeing more, like loaned players? That was also in Managersim.
I sometimes forget what player was loaned by who and for how long. Can that be shown in the history of players?
