How long until I can go back to a team I recently managed? I’m past my 32 turns.
I’m with Dirk on this one, we cannot lower too much the age since the idea is to make older players more interesting and strategic.
When you would lower the age till 24, the 30+ aged players will become useless again. A 30+ aged player is already loosing skillpoints so in general the 24 y.o. player will be better.
It is possible that we return to the original idea of letting managers decide the ticket price, but first we need to develop a good and consistent relation between ticket price and match attendance (considering of course the factors that we already consider like match competition, team quality, league position or cup round, etc).
Press Releases are just informational texts a manager can write and post about their teams like saying his expectations for the next season, talking about his accomplishments, anything he wants. These will probably be available either from the newspaper and from the manager or team page. Interviews should be the next step when it comes to newspaper.
That was an option I thought about when implementing this feature. I decided to use the age cause it would be much more complicated to use number of matches played, because of the way we store this information.
Onions, we are going to have this on the newspaper. I hope I can make it up to the “soon” time frame, but that will really depend on my availability, which is unpredictable.
Massive lowering of prices at Guimarães, all players have a new price and new players in the transfer list, take a look and make offers, prices are negotiable if the offer is reasonable.
Many future stars for loan too, you can have them for more than 1 season, my guaranty…

Only have one 30+ player in my first eleven… Maybe would have kept older players longer when I knew this was coming… But I think it’s a good improvement. In real life it is also about having a good mix of older and younger players and deciding on when to give a youngster a chance
I had the same problem. I put a DC of 31 on free transfer and sold a very decent 31 year old MC!!!
this could be a good idea mostly cause when you increase your stadium capacity, you can never get back the cash invested by selling tickets at this price….
for example 100 seats cost 400 000$….
400 000$ / 100 seats = 4000 a seat
4000 / 10$ = 400
a seat cost is 4000$ and a ticket brings only 10$ a seat so you need 400 matches for the 100 extra places to cover the expense
It would be nice if we can have interviews with managers like we did in soccersim, ask a couple of questions about expectations, teams strengths, who are your main rivals etc. …I saw that something new called press releases is coming, I don’t know if its got anything to do with it…..
EDIT : danilo, i was talking about changing the formation in the “Matches” screen. there is a save button, i was saying i might have forgotten to save after selecting the formation…
the drag and drop part does not need saving…

well, since i lost the first away match i didn’t use the away formation this time around, i used my default “Parag” formation instead… or did i forget to save after changing the formation
Can now select whatever color you want (red, green or blue) for the rubysoccer theme (manager settings screen). Press Releases will be available soon.

Nice addition with the experience for players above 31. Perhaps it could be further expanded by e.g 27-28s old gets -2 on away games, 29-30s old gets -1 and finally when they reach 31 they won’t get any penalty at all playing away from home.
I see the formation set in your cup match is “Away” and this is not your default formation…maybe that was it? :)

thank god i won the game and went through…
after turn 48, i changed my the players in my default formation for the cup match in turn 49, but i can see the players playing in the cup are those that were in my default formation for turn 48….
i haven’t made any changes to the formation after this cup match… but then the players are exactly the same that were selected for earlier turn…
i know it is not due to the card issue… because i remember my goalkeeper didnt’ have any card for the cup match and still he was replaced with another one.
one or two players might have got the card… but how come all those players who had higher stamina levels (selected for the match) not play in the game
3 defenders, one goalkeeper, and two midfielders…

Just made the announcement clearer…it’s for players with 31 years old or more ;)
Players with more than 30 years old did not receive the -3 penalty on all skills when their team is playing as a visitor. This change was made to represent the experience acquired by older players.
This should provide as an incentive to keep aged players…

Im in a management role and travel a bit hence time to part ways. One day i will be back like all journeyman.
