What we need to do is have a better way to limit the maximum and minimum value for selling players. It shouldn’t be too hard to create some initial logic around it and adjust it as needed.
Let´s see with one is the most desire contry.
I´m applying to 6 contries:
Brazil
England
Spain
Italy
Portugal
Argentina
Hmmm. OK. attach some marker to the manager name… a big X, or a pirate face, or a guy in a jail outfit…. so you know, and every manager that sees it knows… OK, this guy has cheated before, and needs to be watched.
sound reasonable?
I’m not sure if this has been mentioned already, since it it old (it happened in season 20) but the following transfers are very suspicious.
114 Flávio Galante => Aiko Alin Ernesto Barbosa 15000000 Transfered from San Martin Tucuman to TuS Koblenz
114 Flávio Galante => Aiko Alin Jorge Acevedo 20000000 Transfered from San Martin Tucuman to TuS Koblenz
114 Flávio Galante => Aiko Alin Matias Moralez 15000000 Transfered from San Martin Tucuman to TuS Koblenz
114 Flávio Galante => Aiko Alin Antonio Pampana 20000000 Transfered from San Martin Tucuman to TuS Koblenz
114 Flávio Galante => Aiko Alin Antonio Roa 15000000 Transfered from San Martin Tucuman to TuS Koblenz
114 Flávio Galante => Aiko Alin Ramón Arnaz 15000000 Transfered from San Martin Tucuman to TuS Koblenz
114 Flávio Galante => Aiko Alin Gonzalo Bauza 10000000 Transfered from San Martin Tucuman to TuS Koblenz
114 Flávio Galante => Aiko Alin Sebastián Palermo 15000000 Transfered from San Martin Tucuman to TuS Koblenz
Now if you look at TuS Koblenz (http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/team_players/511) you’ll see that these players have averages under 70. Two seasons ago it was probably about 65 average. It seems that the players have been sold for prices ten times as high as their true worth.
Apart from investigating the managers, shouldn’t the values of the players also be corrected?
That’s exactly the meaning…anyone could confirm the best word to use? It’s a simple change :-)
The current draw considers the countries ranking position when selecting teams for the qualifying stage. As England is in a bad ranking position even the top team was selected.
This has just been fixed. Thanks guys.
Well, it’s good that you posted it here with all the evidence, so it can be investigated.
I’m sorry to get so upset about it. In a way, I guess its almost unavoidable. People will stretch the rules…
It just bothered me. Obviously!
Congrats for a 2nd CL title in a row!
Hertha will challenge you, hopefully.
Keep up your posts
Ain’t that the magic number? :)
Guys I understand your worry about this, and I’d like to throw in another view on the subject. In real life there is crime and there is punishment. Having punishment like death penalty is proven not to prevent crimes. So banning and kicking cheaters won’t do much more than take up some valuable time (and energy) of people who do wish the best for this game. I am not saying there should not be any rules. I think it’s wiser to let them understand that this way of playing will bring them no fun and other managers will not interact with them. Also it’s a good way to make the game logic better to make it harder for managers making big transfers all the time. If I chose to quit it will be because I chose not because of someone else.
Just my view on the matter, it’s OK not to agree! :)
My team faces Liverpool in the pre-groups of the Champions League.
why Liverpool is not automatically qualified for the group stage and that he is the current champion of the Champions league?
I’ll be one more season out of the group stage.
=(
I noticed Player Stats now has the word ‘Internationalizations’ which probably is intended to mean how many games a player has played for the national team. I don’t think this is the correct word though. I think the word must be ‘Caps’ but perhaps a native English speaker can confirm this.
Liverpool is selling
Daniele Corcelli M C Age 34 (637) 100 pass
Leandro Luz MA RC Age 34 (630) 96/91 pass/shoot
Prices negotiable
Adonis Aguiar (630 overal)
http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/player_info/97793
Nuno Tavares (604 overal)
http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/player_info/100818
Frederico Assis (631 overal)
http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/player_info/100840
Otacilo Magelhaes (609 overal)
http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/player_info/124264
I know some of the transferprices are to high. Maybe there is a fool who pays these prices. Only one is enough :p
If you’re interested but can’t afford the price, tell me and I adapt the prices. ;)
I confirm that the same happened to me. I have 2 teams: the first squad and reservers. All matches are setup with the reserve team.
I was thinking to manage just a national team this season but they only start competitions turn 53 so I’ll be changing plans and go to England now. Aplication made, thanks for the support Dhimitri, I promise to give you a hell of a fight some seasons from now :D
Not sure if it’s intended or not but a non-default formation was set as all my friendlies and divisionals during the season tick.
Is this normal?
I had to go back and set all my squads to either default or another specific formation for friendlies.
England will welcome you with arms wide open!!!
I can only imagine the 1-2 punch we can offer in CL 4-6 seasons from now.
I’ll probably go to England, there are more human managed teams there and some other great names like ManUnt or Chealsea without a manager :D
We are currently investigating the matter, does not seem exactly like cheating but some kind of arrangement between the managers who know each other. Transfers between them are already blocked (as well as the users’ accounts) while we continue discussing that with GMs.
Your posts get more incredible every time, the same as Liverpool, just kicking ass in Europe :D
I defintly agree our CL Group was the hardest by far, I needed an away draw to get it but it doesn’t happen… The last matches don’t count, the losing teams had no motive to fight anymore :D
I’ll probably go to England this or the next season (depending on National Teams managers selection). There are some major named teams in the Division 1 I think it would be a great challenge to get them back on the top…
Come to Holland! :)
Ah yes, my bad. Very suspicious indeed.
Winds of change
It seems now most probably that I will leave Guimarães at the beginning of Season 44, I’m very glad with the job done here (thou the last few seasons were not that great) but I think it is time to change and I want to try something really new, I’m hoping to manage a National Team (luckily Portugal) but if that doesn’t happen I will leave for another “regular” team, this time not Portuguese team.
If you are looking for a team with some prospect I would recommend you Guimarães, I believe some of the youngsters will be the best players in the world.
PS: If the new manager whats he can use this topic :D
Just to alert you guys in advance that due to the structural changes made to accomodate national teams the season tick might get stuck, even though I’m confident this will not happen. In case it does, don’t worry, it will be taken care of ;-)
Cheers.
An almost Extraordinary season.
Liverpool managed to repeat the success of last season by claiming the treble in domestic and continental competition. However, in what seemed like a mirror to last year, the Reds failed again to overcome the mighty Tigre, losing the CWC with 2-1 score.
FA CUP
An easy journey for the Red Army as they played most of the competition with their second string at raving performances. The final saw Liverpool and Blackpool in a rematch for the second year in row, with the former winning again with a 3-0 score that left no room for debate.
Premier League
Liverpool dominated this season again from start to finish, with everyone else left to compete for the second place. The Red Men scored a record breaking 158 goals despite playing their last 12 games with their second string. They wrapped up the title by week 30, in a show of both Liverpool dominance and the general weakness of the Premier League. We hope some of the managers do wake up from the recent lethargy to create more competition both domestically and internationally. England can surely use some international points, which would guarantee a better pool of youth for the future. Presently, there is no chance of this happening.
Champions Legue.
Liverpool managed to win Group D, which from our own personal opinion, it was the toughest CL group this season, also featuring Portugal Runners Up of Vitoria Guiamares, the Turkish Champs of Galatasary, and the French Champs of Rennes. The final spots of the group were decided only in the 6th week, with Liverpool destroying the Rennes second string 9-1, and Guiamares excelling against Galatasary with a 6-0 futile win.
The quarterfinal draw was benefical to the Reds who faced Fenerbahce, only to get read of them with a 7-2 aggregate.
Liverpool and Sporting de Gijon met in the semis in what could be considered to be a premature final. The Reds triumphed in a 4-0 aggregate with Alfonso “The Black Spider” Berrugoso being the star of the series with two shutouts and a perfect rating of 10.0. In the last 3 seasons, Berrugoso has managed 4 shutouts in 7 matches against his former employees. Credit goes to Gijon who deserved something more out of this series, but who unfortunately dropped the home leg with a 0-3 score thanks to Berruguoso’s acrobatic saves.
The final.
Liverpool-Valladolid 3-1.
Last season Liverpool met Valladolid in the semis and Gijon in the final. This season, the Spanish giants switch places, alas to no effect. A beautiful game with plenty of chances from both sides. The game could have gone either way and Valladolid clearly dominated ball posession. However, the Reds turned out to be more prolific in front of the goal. The Reds scored first with Amado from a corner at the half hour mark. Abreu tied the game 2 minutes before the before break. Two goals from Amado and Vasconcelos with 3 minutes from each other ended Valladolid’s hopes and gave the Reds the second title in as many years.
Liverpool now counts 4 CL titles, shared by former legend Henrique Dias and the current manager.
CWC Final.
We knew it would have been mighty hard to win this one. Tigre is perhaps the best team this world has ever witnessed, perfect in every position on the pitch. But Liverpool, true to their spirit, fought till the end, in a match of equals, but ultimately falling short to the supremacy of Tigre talents.
2-1 the final score
No regrets though. In a way, the legendary British team, has been unlucky to rise at a time dominated by the sci-fi quality of the Argentinian team. But in time, we can rest assure the Red Army will manage to get its hands on the trophy.
Looking at the future.
Despite the relatively old age (it will average 31.2 years of age next season) the current starting eleven is strong enough to compete at the highest levels for another 2-3 seasons). In addition, the Red Army enjoys a very interesting second string with young and coming talents such as Cardozo and Bellot in attack, Vinet, Ferret, and Dubuc in midfield, Brault, Dimitri, and Heitman in defense.
It won’t be a surprise if the managers decided to shuffle his team, with some of the veterans leaving to open space for the young talents that storms the team. Future is definitely bright for the current Champs!!!
National teams can now be experienced in all their glory! Apply right away for a job and don’t worry, if you are accepted you’ll be able to manage both your club and the national team. It takes 12 turns for a national team to decide who will be the manager. Here is the final design:
-national team matches do not give players experience (to prevent manager from selecting their clubs’ players)
-you cannot apply to a national team if you are already in a national team
-you cannot apply to a national team if you managed a national team in the last 144 turns (1 season)
-you can change the players from the team players page and pick from lists of best players for each position
-managers that do not reach their continental cup expectations are fired from the national team
-managers that do not exceed their world cup expectations are fired from the national team
-expectations are defined 3 turns before the competitions start and will be based on the players selected for the competition
-when selecting a manager for the national team it makes no difference wether or not you manage a club in the same country (that may change in the future)
Enjoy!
Yes Dimitri he played a full season with Chacarita, not with Erzgebirge. We are in season 43 and he is contracted at turn 129 (after competition) in season 43.
