hehehe
Glad to hear that. Seems the improvements weren’t small after all :-)
small improvements, you said on the last statement? sorry but cpu teams are crazy on the market!!
All players are for sale for the right price. Also players who aren’t on the transferlist. Send me an ingame mail and we can discuss a transfer.
Take a look before you are to late ;)
CPU buying behavior is still being worked on but it should already be possible to notice some small improvements in the market. A couple bugs were also fixed on this logic, they pretty much made the CPU teams make some dumb decisions regarding defenders and old players. Give it some time and let us know what you think!
Cheers
cant pay for these things when the financial aspect to the game is poor, the income teams get is very unrealistic and the transfer market is also unrealisticly over priced, the cpu teams no longer buy players , youth dont develop even with 10 coaching
i think a benefit if anything should be a prediction of youth development like when you pay for vip in xpert11 you get forcasts of how much a player will improve or potential
but like i say , cant really afford a 32 let alone a 35 player roster
im having issue getting profit with just a 21 player squad and good attendance and giant stadium
the game needs to be fixed
Fantastic scouts!
Philippe Provost last season,
In his career with Strasbourg he has played there for 21 seasons and has played +900 official matches, scored +900 goals. His average is .99 goals per match. he has been ligue1 top scorer in 9 different seasons (13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 22, 24, 25, and 28) and has been French Cup top scorer 6 times (14, 19, 22, 25, 28, 30). It will probably be hard to be included in the list of all-time best players of Ruby Soccer, but I think this might be a player to consider. I just hate seeing him retire, do you have any player that will retire soon, that you are really going to miss on your team?
Stadium expansion
“RubySoccer is and will always be a free game.” it says on the donations game, and that’s good. However, I woulnd’t mind if the developers would try to get some more donations to cover the costs of the game. A way to do this would be a model where you can pay for small benefits in the game (as is done in some other games).
Who would be willing to pay for small benefits? Who objects against this idea? Also important, what benefits?
What I can think of is a higher squad limit. 32, or 35 maybe. A lot of teams don’t reach the limit of 30 anyway, but for those that do, it might be nice to have a way to get more players anyway.
Any other ideas?
I think RS should create a game world and implement everything Davison suggest, that would be interesting to see… :)
Seriously though, it doesn’t work like that, does it.
Game dev takes time and this very project is no different from any other.
You do not have to talk about youth system specially, these are the areas that are most important in such games:
1- Player Development (yes youth is players too so it goes there)
2- Economy in the game, Country ranking is not the same thing, do not get confused
3- Board/Manager interaction
4- Challenge/Reward system in the game
Do these 4 and you’ll have a potential candidate to a great game, then the fifth is the community.
Just look at games like Hattrick and ManagerZone, they started small and grew with community, backed up by companies with money behind it. Having a guy or two doing this as a hobby is no longer an option. No one stops you from trying though.
I suggested to Danilo and Gabriel to ignore much of the whining going on here on the forums, everyone wishes this or that like they are sitting on Santa Claus lap, it will end up consuming much of the limited time these guys have.
Developers need to chose a path whether they will have a small world paying some monthly fee to play or go very big with thousands of players (like hattrick, managerzone), and all they get is whining about this and that. Maybe both (different types of games etc..) as well.

Wow! Something weird happened. FastTicker had its season tick recently and the competition were generated fine. Nothing we can do at this point but wait for next season :-(
It is really supposed to work this way. During the group stage the attendance is not that high, if you check the other matches you’ll see they have attendance between 30k-50k. If the team is doing well in the league the attendance is definitely higher than that.
Just to complement what Filipe said: players use all skills depending on what they are doing (passing if they want to pass, dribbling if they want to dribble, control if they are running with the ball or try to intercept the ball, etc). The player skills do not influence his decisions during the match, i.e. a player with passing higher than dribbling will not pass more often because of that, this particular decision depends on the player position and your passing frequency and distance tactics.
Cheers
been saying this for a year now and back then i was given shit for it and now look where we are lol
i fucking told you all this would happen
notice how many managers have got up and left the game and how thin the countries are now told you that would happen too
10 coaching and stadium enhancements are a bunch of bullshit
and the youth are shite and dont improve after entire seasons of playing with 10 coaching.
this issue has been neglected for too long
Can it be that there wasn’t an international competition (European cup / Copa America) for national teams this season in mediumticker?
My team Spain only played friendlies.
Grats! And Emmen, last year second, is now going back to the Eerste Divisie.
Finally promoted!! Together with AGOVV.
I think/hope we will be able to compete for the EL spots next year :D
Anyone?
PSV is selling some young players for up to 78% discount on the player value.
Thomas Hyett 21yr Value 7.8M, price 2.8M
Francisco Beltranejo 21yr Value 12.5M, price 4.5M
Sergio Mastroeni 21yr Value 7.8M, price 2M
Jan Prinsen 20yr Value 4.4M, price 973k
Take a look at http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/team_players/636
In the World Cup you must exceed the expectations of the board to continue in the job. This was done thinking in a 4 year cycle competition so managers wouldn’t keep the jobs forever… It is common a national team change manager after a cycle even if he accomplished his objectives, only if you exceed the expectations they will renew with you.
I think this probably should be changed as the cycle at the moment is just 1 season, maybe have 2 seasons to exceed expectations, if you dont do it in the second then be fired…
I think something really stinks with the jobs at national teams. In the fast ticker I signed up to manage Croatia. The goal from the board was to advance in the European Cup to certain level. By the time I signed up, all the European games were done, we only had 1 friendly and World Cup matches. We won the friendly and after that upset Netherlands in the first round of the World Cup in penalty shots. Our next opponent was Brazil, much better team than us. We lost 0-1 and I was fired for bad performance? “We can’t stand any more of your bad results”? For real? That’s when I decided to check on other teams. It looks like a national team manager is fired immediately after the very first loss, regardless of the level of competition, which stage the loss occurred. Teams losing in the final of the World Cup/European Cup get their managers fired immediately. So, one simple question – why?
I know I’m starting to look like the Devil’s lawyer but I have to disagree again about some of the things you say Jota. The youth system is the same that allowed most of the top teams to success in the game, and it is still possible to start a team from nothing, the managers you mensioned are the clear example, Sly, Dirk, Charles, Vaughn, Amac, François and others (me too :D) have started teams recently and if you look at them they all start to look great, and all of them will be fighting for their leagues soon. I can understand if a new manager have a hard time figuring how the game works but you have been here for as long as us so just because the game isn’t as easy doesn’t mean we should make it dumb easy… Giving prises for international qualifications and matches would have no help for new managers in new teams, on the contrary, the stronger teams would have more money to offer for good players… Weaker teams would be even more poor… I can agree with prises if they are based on teams expectations, if the board wants the manager to avoid relegation and he manages to get an international spot sure, have a prise for that and improve his team, the same with lower division teams…
Completely agree!
coaching level 10 = deficit
deficit = selling the few young player coached
= impossible to improve for new chances
= only possible to crap and get a rich team not made by you or getting bored
hi, I am completely agree with the main of these comment post, and please listen to inquires. The game is getting bored more an more, due to is impossible get the money level other teams already have. The youths does not increase much even with level 10, taking a level 10 for coaching means the team is loosing money year by year, so for survive only possible thing is selling the few youths players got increased. Money is less and less year after years, and this only benefit to the already rich teams. Getting a team from the base make it impossible. It should be included some tv right that make money, or adapt to real situations, qualify to european champions should mean money for matches won / draw as it.
Thanks to many people went back to spanish and english league (fast t) which are almost full of game players (as the early years) had made becoming interesting the leagues again! Really please realize on this! The new leagues with no people on them is completely wrong idea, and unreal as well, you compete with who? will computer all the time, and you can get players from other league which the computer team does not get due to the rubysoccer logica.
Please, the best is getting the possibility to get chance that from one season to another the things could change due to the investments risk on player or to the new youth player which now is impossible due teams goes deficit year by year and necessary to sell. And the idea on the national teams is no sense, even this is not a big deal, but lets make enjoyable, even playing between continents (which was the idea regarding the post about same possibilities on all leagues, brasi and argentina gets 13 teams qualifies for international competitions, on europe 7 as much!) So real life —> international competitions = money. Here does not. Here it was created all leagues of 20 teams (unreal) for get the same change of increase player levels = even more difference if qualification to international competitions is so different = lets do all real and make money or all unreal and lets invent and create and international tournements between countries (national teams idea does not reflect this)
sorry for the long explanation. cheers
Ok I wait for your mail…. but I think that this references should be public… not yours…. but the game references….
If a player have 100 passing and for example 80 dribling he should pass more and dribble less….
In conclusion I have seen in the match teams with players withs secondary great skills and poor firts skills (less 90) having a lot of sucess and I think that should be affected by some factor…. if not it´s better to have a defender with 85 tackling and the other skills 90s… is not very realistic….

hey, I’m not saying you didn’t deserve to win the match, on the contrary your team was stronger and dominated the game. Yet this results happen and should happen too, there are a lot worse than this :D
That said I would think the difference between our team was bigger, the numbers you pointed are not that different, and you have the playing away disadvantage, probably have some effect too…
About the match engine, it considers the skills of the player for any decision he makes on the field, if the player wants to dribble the opponents instead of passing the ball his passing skill is irrelevant, thats just an example of the secondary skills importance. I wont tell here the skills I consider the more important but if you want I can mail you in the game
Do you like statistic Filipe… I like… and I will give you some….
All team…
Your medium Player… All Skills (9) – 615 points
Mine………………………………… – 650 points
Your top player (loaned)- 708 points (a 78,5% value player considering 900 total)
My top player – 715 points (a 80% value player considering 900 total)
In this Game….
Your medium Player… All Skills (9)- 634 points
Mine………………………………… – 651 points
Your top player – 708 points (a 78,5% value player considering 900 total)
My top player – 692 points (a 77% value player considering 900 total)
Total diference (11players)= 187 points…..
An example of a top team….
667,07 74,12%
Mine
650,59 72,29%
For me… my team is not a bad team and I´m sure that I deserved to win this game….
Finaly I would like to ask you one thing…. The motor game have in considereation the more important skill in a especific positions like for example the shoting in a striker or only the total skills of a player…..??!!
Best Regards
lol just kidding, it was mostly luck, but you have a not as good team as you think, the numbers you pointed only reflect players main skills, all position needs more than that… Still you’ll have no problem beating me in the second match, my team is very fresh and I’ve been playing the same squad over and over so they can improve faster, I’ll start getting many bad results
Yes I think you are….
