Well, they do have a logic to limit the amount of money they will spend on a player. It depends on the impact the player will have on the squad and the amount of money available. Maybe the next step now is tweak this formula.
Option 1, they will have the same ratings regardless of their skills.
After 1 season all CPU’s have wasted their money and we’re back with not buying :D
I just have sold my keeper Fischer for 60M. He was on the transferlist for 40M and more than 10 CPU were bidding. I was wondering how far CPU’s would go so I changed the price to 60M. Still 2 CPU’s were bidding and Kickers bought Fisher for 60M. I don’t think a human team would spend the amount for him. He’s good but not that good.
I agree CPU’s had to be smarter and buy the players they needed but IMO they need a logic that tells them if the transfer price of a player is cheap, ok or expensive.
don’t be sorry filipe.
i have to agree with you on this one. I just sold a keeper for 35mil (max value game will allow me to sell him) and although the influx of money is nice, its just not good.
good price for him would be 10-15mil, but 35mil is very high. A little more tweaking is needed in my opinion.
I understand we said “we want CPU to buy players” and now we’re saying “they are paying too much” so maybe we can find common ground in between.
If i may say, the market wasn’t bad prior to when all these changes came into play back in september (i think it was in septmeber when the changes were first made)
It just seems now that we’ve gone from not buying enough, to buying too much and paying too much.
So far I have seen 80M for an average midfielder, 50M for Davison’s crappy one, 50+ for crappy crappy keepers… Sure its fun when you only have crappy players and you still can sell them, not as much for those managers who work hard to get good players, neither for the new manager who will get the 80M wasted money team… I am sorry to say this but it is what I think since this all started, most complaining about CPU non buying managers are simply incompetent managers who let their teams get to a place where they only have crappy players, no wonder they get pissed if CPU teams dont buy them anymore… Sorry for the honesty…
Look this
http://rubysoccer.com/game/player_info/208001
I can not sell any player at this price for CPU teams
Yes I have a great player retiring this Season….
Artur André Pereira (MC)
21 Seasons (12-32) in Gondomar
180 Caps
2 Championships
7 Cups
870 Games 264 goals Average 8,20 MotM 233
I will miss him alot…
I think he was one of the best midfielders of the game.
Best Regards
I have to agree, it seems like the cpu in fast tick also have the “spending big” bug…
it is a great thing let the humans have the fun
please donot change the source unless i sell my rubbish player for a huge profit :)
Seems the changes were not so small after all… But hey, Davison will say this is a great thing :D
Wow CPU team blow their money away in mediumticker.

16-computer Feirense ($29,000,000)
16-computer Portimonense ($29,000,000)
No human manager team would pay 29M for this guy and CPU team are fighting for him.
i have a question regarding how they are calculated?
seeing my players performance ratings overs the seasons, often makes me ask some questions…
Suppose two midfield Players A and B have skills average of 88 and 84 respectively. So, theoretically player A is a better player according to the stats. Lets say they play together in a match and play equally well…
Suppose both players score 1 each, have equal number of passes and accurate passes, tackles and accurate tackles and so on.
Then,
just curious… i personally would want the ratings to display how they played in the match regardless of their skills average…
hehehe
Glad to hear that. Seems the improvements weren’t small after all :-)
small improvements, you said on the last statement? sorry but cpu teams are crazy on the market!!
All players are for sale for the right price. Also players who aren’t on the transferlist. Send me an ingame mail and we can discuss a transfer.
Take a look before you are to late ;)
CPU buying behavior is still being worked on but it should already be possible to notice some small improvements in the market. A couple bugs were also fixed on this logic, they pretty much made the CPU teams make some dumb decisions regarding defenders and old players. Give it some time and let us know what you think!
Cheers
cant pay for these things when the financial aspect to the game is poor, the income teams get is very unrealistic and the transfer market is also unrealisticly over priced, the cpu teams no longer buy players , youth dont develop even with 10 coaching
i think a benefit if anything should be a prediction of youth development like when you pay for vip in xpert11 you get forcasts of how much a player will improve or potential
but like i say , cant really afford a 32 let alone a 35 player roster
im having issue getting profit with just a 21 player squad and good attendance and giant stadium
the game needs to be fixed
Fantastic scouts!
Philippe Provost last season,
In his career with Strasbourg he has played there for 21 seasons and has played +900 official matches, scored +900 goals. His average is .99 goals per match. he has been ligue1 top scorer in 9 different seasons (13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 22, 24, 25, and 28) and has been French Cup top scorer 6 times (14, 19, 22, 25, 28, 30). It will probably be hard to be included in the list of all-time best players of Ruby Soccer, but I think this might be a player to consider. I just hate seeing him retire, do you have any player that will retire soon, that you are really going to miss on your team?
Stadium expansion
“RubySoccer is and will always be a free game.” it says on the donations game, and that’s good. However, I woulnd’t mind if the developers would try to get some more donations to cover the costs of the game. A way to do this would be a model where you can pay for small benefits in the game (as is done in some other games).
Who would be willing to pay for small benefits? Who objects against this idea? Also important, what benefits?
What I can think of is a higher squad limit. 32, or 35 maybe. A lot of teams don’t reach the limit of 30 anyway, but for those that do, it might be nice to have a way to get more players anyway.
Any other ideas?
I think RS should create a game world and implement everything Davison suggest, that would be interesting to see… :)
Seriously though, it doesn’t work like that, does it.
Game dev takes time and this very project is no different from any other.
You do not have to talk about youth system specially, these are the areas that are most important in such games:
1- Player Development (yes youth is players too so it goes there)
2- Economy in the game, Country ranking is not the same thing, do not get confused
3- Board/Manager interaction
4- Challenge/Reward system in the game
Do these 4 and you’ll have a potential candidate to a great game, then the fifth is the community.
Just look at games like Hattrick and ManagerZone, they started small and grew with community, backed up by companies with money behind it. Having a guy or two doing this as a hobby is no longer an option. No one stops you from trying though.
I suggested to Danilo and Gabriel to ignore much of the whining going on here on the forums, everyone wishes this or that like they are sitting on Santa Claus lap, it will end up consuming much of the limited time these guys have.
Developers need to chose a path whether they will have a small world paying some monthly fee to play or go very big with thousands of players (like hattrick, managerzone), and all they get is whining about this and that. Maybe both (different types of games etc..) as well.
BK
Wow! Something weird happened. FastTicker had its season tick recently and the competition were generated fine. Nothing we can do at this point but wait for next season :-(
It is really supposed to work this way. During the group stage the attendance is not that high, if you check the other matches you’ll see they have attendance between 30k-50k. If the team is doing well in the league the attendance is definitely higher than that.
Just to complement what Filipe said: players use all skills depending on what they are doing (passing if they want to pass, dribbling if they want to dribble, control if they are running with the ball or try to intercept the ball, etc). The player skills do not influence his decisions during the match, i.e. a player with passing higher than dribbling will not pass more often because of that, this particular decision depends on the player position and your passing frequency and distance tactics.
Cheers
been saying this for a year now and back then i was given shit for it and now look where we are lol
i fucking told you all this would happen
notice how many managers have got up and left the game and how thin the countries are now told you that would happen too
10 coaching and stadium enhancements are a bunch of bullshit
and the youth are shite and dont improve after entire seasons of playing with 10 coaching.
this issue has been neglected for too long
Can it be that there wasn’t an international competition (European cup / Copa America) for national teams this season in mediumticker?
My team Spain only played friendlies.
Grats! And Emmen, last year second, is now going back to the Eerste Divisie.
