I agree with tim, the game has become less interesting with the changes on the transfer market. Making it more interesting would make it easier to attract new managers ;)
I must say, recently I have become a little bored with Ruby Soccer. There is no longer much interest in the transfer market, there are very few juniors coming through worth keeping; there doesn’t seem to be much going on at all. I admit, I could spend more time searching for juniors, or canvassing other managers to buy class players. However, my time playing the game on a regular basis is limited and I like to see a more vibrant game than what I see now. I think the cpu teams need to be more involved in buying and selling than what they are now. Also, maybe to encourage new managers, or manager transfers, possibly a list of top free teams and there player and cash values could be considered.
We all agree the market is not as fluent as it used, yet the problem is not in the money teams have, more money would just raise players prices without any change in the number of transfers made. Also you need to consider that the most successful teams (the ones that would be awarded) already manage to sell and buy players, so that measure would only increase their power over the other teams…
Money is still possible to make from transfers, now its harder and more realistic to do it because you have to sell good players if you want to get money, thats no problem if you know how to find more good players, here is IMO the problem we face, experiment managers know how to find them but no manager that just came to the game can do that now, I think measures to help new managers creating their teams is the solution. That must be also accompanied with more managers in the game, the CPU adjustments made lately showed us the few human managers in the game, I have no access to any statistics but from what I see there’s no more that 50 active human managers in both dimensions… Its impossible to have a nice fluent market without more managers. Mass invitation in the social networks I believe is the best and cheapest way to work that at the moment.
We need to bring more people to try the game and keep playing, for that we should have some more ways to help new comers in their first steps, extra money in their teams so they can improve the couching department (or automatic raise of it), help finding good promising players, prevent them from buying old players in the first seasons. Starting a team from nothing is possible (many managers me included have done it recently) but it requires knowledge of the game new managers dont have and they end up leaving their teams and the game.
At last, as I always said, with more people more cheaters will come so we need to make sure cheating preventing measures are effective too if we want a stable and attractive game.
In short, bring new managers, keep them here, dont let them do sh*t! (this should be the new RS slogan :P)
Hello,
The market is completely dead… so it´s imposible to earn money… in the future the teams will be all financial bankrupt.
It´s urgent to create some financial awards! Every football manager games that I know have this.

Just for the record, this subforum is for pointing out mistakes in the game (bugs).
i didn’t know about this… may be it was announced while i was away from the game :) no issues though…
@dimitri, i am not blaming anything on anyone. it is just that i didnot know the game had this feature… it is better not to comment if you don’t have anything worthy to contribute.
@filipe, thank you
you already have the option to use a formation for the friendly matches squedule at season start… Manager>Options>Friendlies formation
So you had the wrong settings and you blame it on the game? :)
Came back from a lengthy vacation mode only to realize that my first team had been used by the system as default team for both friendly and non-friendly matches. After 11 round my first team players stamina was too low to be match fit…
there could be two solutions to this.
please consider this for future improvement. i don’t want another manager to suffer what i suffered…
Merry christmas
2 young players on the loanlist in Malaga. They only will become better! Take a look.
- Santana is a promising goalkeeper who is still growing every couple of turns. You can loan him for a longer period if you want.
- Carlton is a young striker with already a 96 shooting.
Feliz natal a todos
Merry Christmas to you all :D Dont drink too much, if you do dont drive or play RS, it ends bad for both :P
I said it would be unrealistic if we replaced the current international competitions for global ones. If the current competitions stay then any tournament would still have a small influence in the ranking.
The real world cup is a tournament of seven teams, with the CL and CA winners seeded for the semifinal. In Rubysoccer there are only two continents, but still, a tournament wouldn’t be unrealistic.
Realistic it only could be fair if Eur and SA compete in a global competitions, but I think that would bring too much difference from the real world competitions and that is something RS is appreciated for. Also I think that would be worse for SA teams, São Catano can defeat any european team, but I dont think the other top SA teams can compete against the European top…

It’s been almost the same amount of seasons with Europe been favored in the ranking, so I think it’s fair that we tried to balance things a little more, even though it’s understandable that it will never be completely possible until Euro have more managers.
And I didn’t mean just CWC, I assume, since we all keep saying that Europe should get an extra boost, everybody knows that Brasil and Argentina rule SA. The last seasons we got brazilian teams in the finals and semifinals of both Sudamericana and LA, a lot of times with both making the final match. When one of them wins the CWC it’s not just ‘a’ detail, it’s ‘the’ detail.
Hey guys, another topic for another team :D
I’m selling some players, most are very weak for human managers but there’s this guy I think may be usefull for some teams, I believe he can improve too (players from new countries used to improve no matter their age, dont know if that still works thou). Anyway, he’s 25 and has 97 tackle so can be very usefull I’m sure, price is the highest the board alowed, they have a stupid value for a player like that…

Also the challenge for managers to join me in Croatia still stands, I tend to be a little softer in MT but can still give a good fight to anyone :D
PSV was long on top in the Eredivisie in season 62, but then I had a losing streak and Gabriel’s Emmen took over. Then it was his turn to spoil points and he needed to win our match in round 37… he lost though, so PSV champion again!
No luck for me in the CL though: 9 points was not enough to qualify for the next round. VVV Venlo did better, reaching the semifinals of the EL. Alas they won’t play in Europe in the coming season.
In de Eerste Divisie De Graafschap was unlucky. After trying for a long time, it looked like they would go up finally, but a loss in the last round meant fourth place, 2 points behind the number two.
Groningen and AGOVV, both teams with big stadiums, got new managers. There teams are not so strong yet but I expect that to change. A good financial situation will help.
IMO it’s nice to see the tables have turned. In the early day’s it was only Brazil and argentina who had to devide all the points, while europe had to split it through like 5 or something. The first 30 seasons was just brazil who was dominated because of the flawed concept.
I’m kinda happy to see them being on the otherside of it all :)
Filipe and Dhimitri nailed it, we’ll now have 8 groups in SA competitions as well, increasing the chance of Brazilian and Argentinian clubs have a better performance. Another good point to mention is that, even with an extra round on European competitions as we had last season the number of points a team could make in Europe was exactly the same as a club in South America, i.e. both teams starting on qualifying round and winning all matches until the title would have the same number of points.
Hmmm, good point. I’ll put the contract start date back 1 season to fix that.
Cheers
I hope most of them are fixed by now. We have a little encoding problem with the new names ;-)

Congrats to Bristol for an excellent overall season. You definitely took the league by surprise with your performances, and there’s still lots of potential in that team to aim much higher :)
This is perhaps the start of a new era, a new British dynasty. The Spanish are looming somewhere in the horizon, but they have some way to go before they get any closer, and we will be waiting, anyway!
Yes, there will be eight groups in SA now, too. That should help the Brazilian teams win more matches, hence collect more pts. On the other hand, there are still too many Brazilian teams playing in the continentals, hence it will continue to play down the country’s avg pts.
Anyway, I would wait till the end of this season…I bet Brazil will gain an avg. of around 85 pts, a significant jump from last seasons.
The number of points a team can earn if win every match is the same for European and South American teams, also there’s only one group phase in European competitions, I believe Cardiff played the qualification that season and won almost every match till the final… As I said the difference now is that as Europe has 8 groups its easier for all teams from England, France and Spain to qualify and make some points. As Brazil and Argentine have 13 teams playing its harder for any to have all teams in the group stages. I believe this season things may change as there are 3 new countries in South America so maybe there will be 8 groups too…
I believe that this current system is not well balanced, and I’m not just talking about the CWC that is almost insignificant and have not a big impact in the end, but I’m talking about the total point that one European team can earn against a South American team.
You can compare this just looking at the countries detailed points. The maximum that São Caetano reached in the last 4 championships was 150 points, while Cardiff already reached almost 184 points and in one season that didnt take the championship.
Other thing. When the south american competition starts, most os european countries already have 20 points or more in their accounts (2 group stages against 1 from South America).
I Believe that the total amount that both sides can earn should be the same, and maybe some changes increasing the weight for the quarter, semi and finals. Also giving much more weight to the CWC.
