Fail to see the point in this financial system other than you controlling the economy 100%… I feel like im being put under administration, for me this is a very sad change in the game, and i hate that i cannot myself decide in which way i wish to spend my money. So all the money i builded up is gone, the stadium i spent 10 seasons to build is gone, and the board is controlling every aspect of my game leaving only a few decisions up to me. Sad…..

Will give this a couple of seasons to see if its as bad as it looks, but i lost a lot of interest for the game here…

Here is a good example of what is wrong.

I draw 2-2 in the final and end up winning it, my performance is kicked back to 1% right after winning the cup, i really dont hope my job can be in danger because of this bug.

First the performance, i find it a bit hard to get this rating up after the latest change. I won the league 5 out of 6 seasons, the cup 3 out of 6 seasons, and been in european group stage the last 10 seasons, i have improved the stadium to 60.000 seats and the bank is above 1 bill.

My current performance rating is 5%!! Im a real life FC Copenhagen fan, and in real life they would be building statues all over Copenhagen of me for this kind of performance :) :)

Just think its to hard to achieve a positive rating now, focussing to much on some issues and not at all on others.

Retiring players: I find it wrong that they would ask for more salary if you fire them in their last year, taking in note that they themselves have terminated the contract already.

You could argue that the transferlist link should be removed, or maybe allow for a low transfer price.

It seems like the stamina have a huge influence now, and i for one dont like the way it drops super fast and raises super slow. I bought a player with 4 in stamina and now 30 turns later he is 60 in stamina, thats something like 10 weeks to get little over half rested, why should it take so long?

Its also a problem with loaned players, with a max of 3 missed games, they are to play in the league, cup and euro so they will drop below 75 easily and thereby get a massive drop in quality and you cant rest them, because you then lose your player, and again it takes ages to get them from 75 to 100.

Just my 5 cents, i hope it makes sense.

Hi,

I just took over a new club in mediumticker (Atletico Madrid), and 3 players where up for negotiation of new contracts.

I made an offer to all 3 during my first tick in the new club only to lose my best defender Rubén Montenegro in the very next tick due to an slow and stupid CPU.

My suggestion is that when a new manager arrives you prolong all deadlines with minimum 3 ticks so there is time to clean up and get things sorted out.

It is very sad to join a new club only to lose your best defende in the first tick after you arrived.

I dont expect i could get him back but please fix it for the future… Hope you understand.

Hi all,

I thought i would post my evaluation of this game after playing it for some time.

My general opinion is that the game is way to “slow” and boring. Let me explain:

I have been with the same team in fastticker Bayern München since season 14 and this season out of complete boredom changed to a brazilian side, ok so why don’t i just leave if i find it boring?.. good question :) because i want this game to be better than Soccersim were and because this game have potential to be so. Here are my main arguments:

Dead economy

This game has the most boring economy i have ever seen, it is almost impossible to sell a player unless you sell your 17 year old youth player with 600.000 in starting value for 2 mill. It is impossible to make a profit on a semi strong side by just having standard training facilities and normal salaries, only in weeks with matches is it possible to make a positive result. This is simply not good enough, and makes the whole game frozen and boring.

Way to slow player development

A player develops till he is 27 or maybe even later, i find this way of progress to slow and boring, i am big fan of the SS philosophy where they stop growing around 19/20. Maybe not realistic but it makes the game more interesting, fun and accessible for new players. It takes a minimum of 10 seasons to build a competitive side with the player developing system of today, critical if you want new happy users, they will simply get bored before they fall in love.

Big club clause

Yes i know many of you hate it, but it gives an golden opportunity to find a good player in lower teams, it takes alot of personal effort to find players this way, so it also works as a motivation for dedicated players, a kind of treasure hunt.

General things

Of course the game lacks things like countries, realistic game engine, realistic european tournaments etc. by i dont find that as important as the above mentioned
I know this game is new and made by people who dont do this as a full time so its totally understandable that everything is not in place yet.

The cornerstone of soccersim which made the game interesting for the masses was that you could join the game and relativily fast build up a strong squad with some dedication and luck, find a promising youth in a country where not everybody else looked, now i cannot see how i can build up the stadium, and it takes minimum 10 season to build a competetive side if you start in a new club from scratch NOT ACCEPTABLE if you want new happy users. Each of my clubs economy is going down even without any stupid investments. The backside in Soccersim where that some managers had a billion in their bank account but seriously so what???

This is not ment to be understood as negative but as a debate on how the future for Rubysoccer has to be, so please post you feelings about this topic and let’s discuss.

In Medium ticker Stoke City dont have a keeper, they only have 23 players in their squad.

I think the AI should atleast make sure that a PC team always have atleast 2 keepers.

Just wanted to let you guys know :)

i focus mainly on improving my team, and have no clue on how the tactics works so i get beaten in all important matches :)

So if any of you out there have a way of helping me beat Hertha it would be very appreciated :)

An update of the game engine is an absolute must. I dont want to waste time on a game where some mediocre teams wins everything because they found a bug in the system, seriously the tactic options is very limited, so if you by making someone go all forward and make some settings in tackle and passing that makes you win almost every game call yourself a mastermind, you wont get my respect.



A team of mid 80’s shouldnt beat a team of end 90’s more than about once or twice out of ten regardless the tactics they use. Thats just my opinion.

It might just be me, but i still think the youth growth is waay to slow it seems like you have timed 0 with 2 :)

I have a super youth :) now worth 2 mill 79 in shooting, he has gained 2 times during this entire season and he have played 72 matches whereof 63 is friendlies, its general for all my youths every time i log in to check noone has risen in stats. in my world thats MEGA boring and completely useless i expect to see gains more often in youths than in regulars but this is not the case, im very disapointed with the way youths works now.

I hope we can bring this up to discussion again and take a new look at the way youth grows…

Could you try and tell us something about how much is needed for a skill-up my players are still stuck at their starting skills my most promising youth player with a value of 649.000 and 75 shooting has played 2 cup games and 20 friendlies and no skill up at all, it seems like something is fundamentaly wrong with youthplayer improvement, please give me peace in mind about this, since i still think you totally ruined the youth player aspect of the game.

In my opinion 40-50% of a players potential should be possible to reveal during “Youth academy” time if thats obtainable of course depends on matches played, quality of coaching and time factor the only get the “boost” when they are in the youth academy after that its normal development.

Just my idea on how to do it :)

I found some minor issues in the champions league session.

When you enter International cups it starts in CL which is ok but my point is that no matter which tournament you click into it should go to the phase thats active at that time, when you click international tournaments now youll come to the qualification round it should go to the group phase automaticly, hope it makes sense.

On a side note the topscorer section here isnt updated, still the data from qual. round.

But let me use this opportunity to give you credit for a fast and good implementation of CL. GREAT WORK !! now please fix the youth players so they grow :)

Yeah i think one of the major points here is that they should increase more while they are in the “youth academy” atleast they did in Soccersim. The period of time they are in there should then maybe be changed so it goes from 3 months to 2 years or whatever is needed. After they leave “youth academy” the normal rules should apply for the remaining points they have left to develop. It makes youth players boring when they dont grow, much easier to buy more developed youths and spend valuable game time on them instead.

As i see youthplayers they should give an early signal on if they are worth counting on or not.

I am glad to hear you will look into this, because youths have went from the most exiting aspect in this game to the most boring.

Let me follow up on this, i understand the fear of an overflow of good players, but as the system is now we dont get better players they just develop their first bit a bit faster.

I received a youthplayer turn 98 last season with a starting value of 240571 he was 72 in shooting so he looked a bit promising, now turn 71 the season after his value is 305.717 and his shooting is 74 this is after he have played:

76 friendlies
3 1. division matches
2 CL matches

My coaching is 10.

I just think this is waaay to slow 2 points in 1 year after that amount of matches it may be to little to go from but none of my other youths have developed as well.

One of the things i love about games like this is developing good youth players, but after the change it seems impossible. As it is now you need to keep a player in your team 10 years to find out if he has potential.

Dont know if it’s just me but i think the way youth players grow now is way to slow, in my opinion it should go much faster and they should develop more from friendlies when they are still in the youth academy.

they need to grow more in order for me to play them in first team, so as i see it they need to develop more the first 2 years.

what do you think?

Im really a big fan of this game and love managing my team here. I have made a lot of speculations in how the UEFA system should be in this game.

I would love a full UEFA ranking system like the real life one

All countries should be implemented in the game most of them blocked from managing like in soccersim, very simple in Ukraine its not possible to manage a team etc. etc.

Full TOTO cup full EUFA cup and full CL with qualifications and systems like if you go out in round 3 qualifications for CL you continue in UEFA cup etc.

It would make the game very unique and fun to play.

I dont know if this is possible but i would love to discuss it with you all.

In the tactic pages under personal tactics, would it make the game to easy if the move back and move forward commands where based on the position rather than the specific player, or atleast open for both options.

Another thing, if you go to a team and invite them for a friendly you are thrown back to the teams front page after one invitation, why not just stay at the friendly page so you can arrange more? Unlike Soccersim you made friendlies so only the home team gets income so a home and an away is likely to be the most used combo.

A last thing if a full CL is far far away you should make some sort of group play now so the CL tournament is better than UEFA cup, guaranteeing you atleast 6 matches.

Just my thoughts :)

Im a bit concerned about the number of tick freezes, i know its not that often but the game is still small and not overcrowded with managers and countries, Soccersim suffered from a long and unstructured period of programming making it a homemade game with 1000 of add ons and changes, which again lead to numerous problems like very long tick times, freuquent freezes and an almost guaranteed downtime during season tick.

So its pretty interesting to know what causes theese bugs, if the code is already unstable now it will only be worse and worse as the database grows.

I think its something that should be taken very seriously.

After giving ths alot of consideration i think a reset now is useless, my suggestion is finish the game, build the countries you want to include, make CL, UEFA cup etc. fully working. Test your new player development system and when you feel you have a “complete” product reconsider a reset. Doing it now wont make any difference, this game is still a beta in many ways.

I vote for a partial reset.

Some managers have been around for ages and got a huge benefit from that, and alot have come later having a hard time to catch up. I dont have anything to complain about so its not for personal benefits i would have loved to win the title for Hertha Berlin fair and square some day :)

Some drastic changes have been made so a partial reset sounds perfect in my opinion.

But it wont take genius to figure out that in 10-20 seasons the game will be “unbalanced” again if you of course dont make the game boring and making it impossible to get your players to improve :)
