I think this is the first time I agree with Dimitri.

I haven’t encountered huge discrepancies with older players (ex. 22), but at scouting level 10 for “Control” 87 jump to 100, I’d agree, a tad ridiculous at the age 22. Unless the first reading took place when the player was 17. I’d be curious to see the difference at age 23.

I like it the way it is… I feel the game will become much easier if you made finding GOOD players easier. Now, my team has never been uber successful, but I enjoy the hunt for good players and understand that it is hard to find them – as it should be. I think I’ve done OK considering that ITALY can’t produce talent, lol :)

I know that a player will receive a more accurate evaluation as he gets older… so if I believe in the player I signed, I wait until he gets older and scout him again and again. I saw it work first hand with my strikers – also saw it fail with some defenders. Oh well, cut your losses and start looking again. It all just makes sense to me and I think Gabriel implemented this feature right.

To add, if you don’t think the feature works (I think it does just fine) – don’t use it. You will just play the game prior to the feature and use your own judgement like we all did.

Again for what it’s worth, I’m happy the way they are. Adds that “random factor” to the game ad Daniel mentioned above. The scouts failed me with some but also helped me with some. I’m OK that they get it wrong sometimes.

…. for what it’s worth, I love the scouting system and it works EXACTLY the way it is intended to. You have to be a little bit smarter as to how you choose your players. Also, if you don’t like the scouting system… don’t use it. Spend your points somewhere else.

I’m a little confused about the corner tactics. The question is, how do I know if my corner tactics are effective? Are goals I score with headers goals from a corner? How do I measure the success of my corner tactics?

I’m trying to update my formation and it says “executing action” on the bottom, but the action is never executed. I tried through Chrome and Firefox. The other issue is, once it goes into the “executing action” – it seems stuck in a loop. If I click anywhere else I’m asked to re-login.

So if he has 91 in tackle, he will play as a 90 in tackle due to -1 loss in skill?

Playing a player in the wrong position means you receive skill penalties, but what exactly is a skill penalty? Does it mean that my 26 year old left defender will loose -1 in each skill if played at the central defender position? Some more clarification will be very helpful.

Also, if playing a 29 year old DL as a DC would cause skill loss…. does he get it back if played as DL again?

Please share your experiences!! :)

I tried to donate $10 USD today and unfortunately I do not speak Portuguese. I clicked the paypal button and typically pay with credit card, without login, but was a little confused on how to donate since I can’t quite understand what is being said.

I appreciate the fact that the development comes from Brazil, but an English option would be nice :)

You can make it private so no-one can see, also, you disclose only as much as you want. You’ll catch the bug one day… everybody and their grandma has one these days :)

UEFA Super Cup, cool idea!

1. For a formula to truly work and be truly tested, cheaters need to be eliminated. TOP PRIORITY should be to incorporate an individual verification system (Facebook login – face it, we all have one). Without this, everything else is pointless. Keep the game the way it is.
2. The idea of all players having a pre-defined value formula is a great solution. In PC games, I can ask for whatever amount I want, but no-one pays past the predetermined values. There are special cases for the super super stars, but 98% of transactions stay at a pre-definied value or below. I think you could copy the PC manager games model quite easily.
3. Enable CPU players and Human player to make offers for NON-TRANSFER listed players, actually accept some too.
4. Star system to help merchandise and sponsorship worked great with SoccerSim – copy it!
5. Formation changes from mobile phone would be GREAT!!!!

To expand on 4, I remember getting players who were not good, but had stars. It forced me to purchase avg players.

-To the creators of Ruby Soccer, thanks! you guys created a good game.
-To my friends, thanks, I had a good time playing with you again.
-To the cheaters who got away and are destroying the game for honest managers (the cheaters are: Vinicius Ferreira, Felipe Maróstica, Félix Cardoso, Caio Oliveira, Flavio Machado, and more). These guys got away with everything. I suppose paying outragious sums for a 36 year old GK with 89 keeping skill is of course not cheating. Paying 40 mil for a 37 year old isnt either. Transfering outragious ammounts between themselves ONLY doesnt make it obvious that they are cheating.

I am leaving this game, because I see no point in trying to play an honest game and compete with my friends when I am surrounded by cheaters who get away with everything. I too have friends in the game, but I don’t cheat. We dont transfer stupid players between each other. We play HONEST.

RubySoccer is a really cool game, it’s largely based on SoccerSim. However; RubySoccer has one major flaw, the fact that unlike SoccerSim, it does not take cheaters serious. Ultimately, this game wont go anywhere unless it’s cleaned up. I refused to donate to this game for that reason. I donated $10 a month for ManagerSim. I’m off to other ventures and good luck to RubySoccer, hopefully you’ll get more aggressive and get rid of the cheats because it can bring you down, but than again, maybe you dont care. Either way, good luck!

Davison,

you have a point. All the mangers involved, including Felix are have ties to bayern. I think I remember accusing Felipe Santos in cheating in SoccerSim, many many times. Name sounds soooo familiar.

I’m not suggesting a new feature, but gosh darn it I am suggesting get rid of the cheaters.

Is RubySoccer too small to impose some sort of control and rules when it comes to cheating?

I cant believe I did not notice this before. No wonder you’re so into this.

It seems you really like to deal with Flavio Machado who deals with guess who, Eintracht. Joaquim F. also buys your shit players. All the teams involved who have ridiculous transfer with Eintracht, you also have ridiculous transfers with. I dont have time to dig deeper, it obvious.

Good try buddy and good luck cheating.

I hope the admins step up and clean up house a little. I dont want to waste my time posting about this anymore. It’s in plain sight.

Felix, I understand what you’re saying, but this one is simply too obvious for me and I am baffled that you cant see it.

Caio Oliveira is the NEW manager of hanover, before that he was the manager of, guess who… Tus, who dealt with guess who? Eintracht. That second bundesliga team, guess who managed them. Caio. Guess who he dealt with? Vizela. Guess who Vizela dealt with Eintracht. Now look at each individual player and tell me all the transfers somehow make sense to you. Yes, the money payed was high, but the players that went to eintracht are much better than the players that went out. There are more teams involved in the ring. I can connect more dots for you if you wish. Doesn’t matter how you associate things, all the strings come together at Eintracht.

I was looking at Eintracht Frankfurt and this guy is a monster cheat. Huge transfers that date seasons back. This guy is cheating and has been for a loooong time. Probably hasnt been caught because he can’t win no matter how hard he cheats, but I dare you to look through the history, it’s an eye popper.

What the freak is the point of upgrade. Unless you have more money that you will ever need, it’s a waste.
