It’s been almost the same amount of seasons with Europe been favored in the ranking, so I think it’s fair that we tried to balance things a little more, even though it’s understandable that it will never be completely possible until Euro have more managers.

And I didn’t mean just CWC, I assume, since we all keep saying that Europe should get an extra boost, everybody knows that Brasil and Argentina rule SA. The last seasons we got brazilian teams in the finals and semifinals of both Sudamericana and LA, a lot of times with both making the final match. When one of them wins the CWC it’s not just ‘a’ detail, it’s ‘the’ detail.

Can we please redo the ranking system?
I know South America has pratically lost the right to fight for the first position, since euros have more human managers, although, I consider that it’s only because of Spain, France and England; but can’t we at least get a shot at the second?

Brazil wins the CWC 3 times and gets 3rd ranking, at most, in every season. Now look at difference when England gets the CWC.

Anyway…

It would be very easy to get examples from a lot of teams, but of course there are players where the header isn`t one of the highest. Look at your own team and tell me how many midfielders have more shooting or tackle, or attackers with more tackle or passing, etc… than header.

My point is that it would be nicer to see more mids with high shooting, or atackers with high tackle, and so on, than players with high header, which are much more common.

If I recall correctly, it was intended to make this skill more useful in the future, thus the 80 limit was removed. However that still seems far from happening and players with 90+ avg became much more rare.

So a lot of times, when it looks like you are gonna get a really good player… he grows a huge load in header and screws that up.

I think that with the new system of less players with high average in the game, this skill shouldn`t be getting more points than the other primarys.

Not more than the primary, but maybe close to even. The last 3 players I got from my youth academy with 90 average, and they are hard to come by, all got almost 100 header.

I have 2 other players with about 88 average that got 100 header. That kind of thing really screws the chance of a player with low avg. be decent.

Why is this skill so hyped in the point distribution?

I mean it is 20 times easier to get a midfielder with 100 header than 100 shooting or tackle.

The fact that players with more than 88 average are now harder to come by makes it even worse.

Personally, I think it is the least usefull skill in the game. Coudn’t that be adjusted?

Looking at the CL campaign after the new countries additions, it seems things became a little more balanced in comparison to Libertadores – CL got more easy matches. Isn’t it time to adjust things?

South America was already capped before, but now we went from 10 teams to 13 teams to calculate our ranking.

Considering that the calculation is based on the division of the sum of all teams points in each country, that makes things too unbalanced.

I believe that all 13 teams shouldn’t be used to calculate the ranking.

lil TWEAKED trans

Hello, I would like to give my contribution to the game by improving the way teams choose their trainers. It could be added next to the Status tab with a ranking of the coach, which would appear like some kind of a part of the current classification. In this new classification coaches would be distributed according to the time they are in the game (by season). For example, Novice, Amateur, Aspiring, Professional, Teacher and Legend, and another with the average length of stay in the same club. These two new classifications would be used by teams to tie-break when there is more than one coach applying for the same position. For example, a Novice, that had been on a single club, would beat an Amateur who took over more clubs in the same period. This would avoid the constant “escape” of coaches from one club to another, causing them to stay for longer periods in the same club. Thus, his reputation would be worn out, making good teams choose coaches with rankings worse than his, but with a history of longevity in their former clubs. It is what happens in today’s football.

What do you think of this idea?

Since my last post didn’t have the effect I wanted, this time I’ve collected some data to back it up.

If you feel this is a waste of time, then you can stop at this period.
The post is a little long. Don’t complain about it afterwards; I warned you ;)

At the end I will make some comments.

This is better viewed in a full window ;)

The players stats are here just for easy refference.

Now, to the comments:

There is an obvious difference between the teams used against the two adversaries, even considering injuries and suspensions.
You can’t even call the second teams as substitutes, since there are so many youth players.

And even though Juventude’s stamina is depleted, that doesn’t mean it was like that in the begginning of the season, nor it excuses the difference between the two teams used.
That fact enforces that the manager is either a newbie, lazy or a fake. This last one would be my ‘guess’ as well for the other two managers.

My opinion is, any manager has the right to use, without strings to someone, whatever player they want at any time.

The reasons why someone uses a different team could be to save stamina, not having anymore ambitions in the league, develop players, specially against a weaker/too strong to beat/tired team, randomly feel like it, or because they just don’t like the team.

A real manager could also do it to intentionally favor/harm another team. That is unfair play, small thinking, unethical, but is it cheating?
If the person does it out his own free will, with no strings to somebody, I’m not sure. In RL it isn’t, but I think the big teams don’t do it to avoid lowering their own or the league’s image.
And besides, do we really want the game to turn into this? A league of pals that give away results?

That being said, it is completely unacceptable, as well unlikely, that 3 managers spontaneouly decide to take this action, at the same time, to favor a single team. It is as a probable coincidence as winning the lottery a few times.

Did you get the single team remark? Doubt it? Then I dare you to point out any other match in this season, until now, that another team gets this ‘special service’ from them. You don’t even have to show it like I did, just point out the match report and I’ll check the rest.

Go there, I’ll wait
.
.
.

Hard isn’t it? I know because I checked.

It would be a much safer assumption that these 3 managers have some sort of connection.

Are they real people helping someone, or multiple accounts in service of one person?
I’d say it is the second one, although the first couldn’t be completely overruled.

And even though Corinthians is the only team to gain from this, could it not have anything with this?
Sure that would be possible if it wasn’t for these two things: first the situation that called my attention to this whole thing :

tick 63 http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/match_report/1588220
tick 64 http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/match_report/1625583

There was a Cup match just before the Ituano match. Since both matches were against strong opponents, a sacrifice would have to be made.
But notice how syncronizedly Corinthians uses subs (a real sub team and not one with a bunch of youths) in the Ituano match, so it wouldn’t interfere with stamina.
Also Corinthians used the subs in all the reffered matches.

My suggestion: Fire the managers, not allowing them to rejoin any of the implied teams. Also, if it has any effect, keep an eye on their IPs.

That is the minimal that should be done, if you think something else then I’d like to hear it.
.
.
PS: Palmeiras also didn’t use the main team in the 2 matches against Corinthians. He did in other matches too, though.
http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/match_report/1587968
http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/match_report/1587969

While Márcio Yokomizo was managing CRB, he also did it. In the sequence of that match there was a Cup match.
He left CRB shortly after that.
http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/match_report/1587932

Notice how ridiculous both the teams that CRB and Palmeiras used compared to Corinthians’ subs by looking at the match stats. Yes, Corinthians also used subs in all three matches.

I deleted the topic about “Corinthians been favored”, since not only it is a complicated thing to prove, but also to judge.

However, I would like to make it registered in case the situation repeats itself in the returing matches.

Hopefully, that incident was nothing.

Or, at least, people will realize we are not so blind to such things.

I think what we really need is more human (good) players, and not stronger CPUs.

In the of the line it is they who really set the level of the game.

If you think the CPUs are too easy, then I suggest you try stronger leagues, like the brazilian one ;)

You have to look at it through the country ranking perspective.

The sooner a team from a determined country gets eliminated, the lesser chances the country will have to earn more points.

And if the country ranking really does have any influence on the youth academy (in reality we don’t quite distinguish that), then it does have a practical value.

But I understand where you are coming from because first and second places in the brazilian league always get Tigre on their group.

Really don’t like it too when a manager enters a team just to buy or sell players then just leaves without even completing a season.

Correct me if I’m wrong: the amount of points a player can evolve is pre-determined; the amount of points he evolves each time is random;

If so, a few still questions remain:

1) Is the amount of points for each skill also pre-determined or is it randomly decided each evolution?

2) Having more points of evolution available increase the probability of evolving more points at once?

3) Players receive doubled evolution points at youth academy, however, if after that they don’t use them, do they lose those extra points or do they become accumulated?

Considering that, during the youth academy, players receive double experience, it’d be interesting if the player history displayed the moment that the player went PRO and how many friendly matches they played each season.

On another topic, any plans to add my other suggestion about turns remainning on contract renewals?

Also, when I had 29 players and I was bidding on a player, when I tried to change something in the bid, the message also came up.
It is as if the game didnt realise that it is THE SAME PLAYER.
