Berhan, I’ve sent you an in-game message on FastTicker.
That’s right, with the current level of passing, corner taker makes a 100% pass most of the times. Obviously a corner kick is not a regular pass so I will adapt it to make it more realistic.
Exactly. But we have to agree that it was really bad luck!
Indeed. We have it planned and it is possible with the current way of how the game works :)
Hahahahahah! No, I haven’t changed the keeper strength :)
They do, we’ll probably change the whole penalty kick logic in order to increase the goal probability, it’s too low!
1) Not necessarily, I’d say the passing priority enhancement have some influence on that, cause if you set it to center, you C attacker is likely to get the ball more often while if you set it to “along sides” your LC and RC attackers are more likely to get the ball.
2) Both. For example, let’s say that your attacker needs to be within 15 meters from the goal to shoot, according to your shooting strategy. Suppose that with the previous calculation he’d be 16.4 meters distant, but now with the new calculation he is 14.8, it means he will shoot thanks to the new formula. Or if he was 14.8 with the old calculation and now is 12, he would shoot on both cases, but now it will be easier as he’s closer to the goal.
Enhance distance to goal calculation on match simulation. Instead of measuring the distance to the center of the goal we now measure the distance to the closest point of the goal, considering its whole size. It should make LC/RC attackers shoot a little bit more.
Match strategies are not applied partially anymore. If you configure a position change and a substitution in the same strategy, the position change is not performed if the substitution can’t be made (when the player is not available).
Manager and team ranking points are now earned based on opponent quality. In other words, beating a strong oppoent is worth more points than beating weak one. As a result the best ranked teams/managers will probably lose some points even on victories until the new scores are normalized.
Should be, I’ll try it later today.
No changes to the attendance logic…if you’re talking about national cup attendance it’s normal that it’s not full on early stages…on league you are also not in a good position right now ;)
I have an idea to improve shots from left or right, the problem is the distance is measured to the goal center, so central attackers are always closer to the goal. I believe we have more shots cause I’ve fixed a bug in the passing logic a few days ago. If you check the % of successful passes you’ll see it’s much higher :)
@Vaughn: what exactly do you mean about getting ueaf/cl in the loan option? Is it a clause saying the player must play matches on these competitions? Regarding putting the player back on loan list before loan ends it is interesting but pretty complex to do with the current rules…of course we could work it out ;)
They’re still tiring guys, maybe not enough :P
My board expectations are way too high as well in my opinion. In my case I know the reason, I have some players with excellent secondaries but lacking on main skills. Besides that I have more than one excellent keeper while most teams have only way, so the board evaluates my team quality above the average. Maybe it’s your case.
When you fill one expectation you don’t earn extra points, it’s kinda like you did your job, as expected, you probably earned some points from the victories you had until you reached the semi-finals. My expectation was to fight for the title last season and I ended up in 8th place and even though I reached the finals in the National Cup and Libertadores I lost both, which cost me lots of points cause, according to the team quality formula, my team was much better than my opponent.
Good luck for us both!
I understand what you’re saying, Humberto, but I belive a few good teams in a small country can make the difference as seasons goes buy and slowly increase the country’s position in the country ranking. Of course it’s harder for South American countries while we have only 4, but it’s still possible :)
Sure, the points difference should be applied in all competitions.
I guess you misunderstood the concept of taking over, Vaughn. You’re allowed to apply to a team with manager only when the manager’s board is 10% or less and you will take over only if the board reaches 0 AND your ranking is greater than the current manager’s. In other words, the board would have fired the manager anyway for bad performance, it is even possible that he will not get fired for bad performance cause nobody high ranked is applying.
Bankruptcy rules changes: when you finances go below zero and all your departments are on level 0 a random player will be “sold” and leave the game in order to quit your debits. Previously the transfer listed players had priority on this rule. This change was made so that managers can’t abuse the rule by transfer listing the players they want to be gone when reaching negative balance.
All teams in a given country have equal chances of generating good youths, the chance is lower as you go down the country ranking. I’m not sure if understood you correctly, Humberto, but if you’re suggesting all countries should be the same regarding youth generation I think it would take out the fun of managing teams in smaller countries (specially when we have more).
Regarding the manager ranking I believe the quality of the opponents should count. For example, beating Hertha in german league should be worth more points than beating Erzgebirge Aue. This way a manager in a strong league would be able to gather more points in the ranking with good results than an average manager in a weak league, making it harder for them to takeover your team. What do you say?
I’m really sorry to know that Parag and Reimer have left. I hope they change their mind :(
About being fired I believe it’s healthy for the game, you shouldn’t get a team and be its manager forever. It would be acceptable in a manager game where you create your own team, give a name to it, etc. Here we have real life clubs and everyone wants to manage the most famous clubs. It’s fun to start it all over again.
If you say the way of earning points is kinda weird that’s fine, I agree with that, we still need to find a good way to give points to the managers. Things were worse when this “apply for clubs with managers” did not exist, as a manager could be fired for bad performance even when nobody else was interested in managing his team.
We have some positive examples of managers who got fired from good teams (Michelet from Cruzeiro and Andre Maia from Botafogo) and they simply picked another team to start again. Andre Maia was even able to get his Botafogo back after some seasons.
I understand your concerns, Alban, we’ve lost good managers fired for bad performance (Carlos Costa from Leixões was the first one if I’m not mistaken). This is a very controversial subject in my opinion and we’re willing to make changes if necessary so that the majority can be happy (if there is a clear majority).
Cheers!
My only prediction for this season is that I’ll be fired for bad performance.
Match engine enhancement: improved players tackling decision. At most 2 closest players will try to tackle an opponent at the same time. We expect this to reduce the “swarm” behavior.
Increased the number of different formations allowed from 5 to 7.

Age: 27
Position: A

Tackle: 80
Passing: 85
Shooting: 85
Speed: 98
Dribble: 95

Don’t be fooled by his 85 shooting, with high tackle for an attacker and incredible speed and dribbling skills Nicola is a threat to many defenses. His header skill is also a plus, specially now with better wingers usage.
Price is negotiable.
I believe it’s not implemented yet :)
Today’s most important improvement: goalkeeper injury.
That’s right. There is a 1 in 400 chance of a goalkeeper injury during a match. If you have only one quality keeper it’s better start thinking about buying another one.
p.s.: the current injury names used are the same for keepers and regular players, so they may not make sense. Please ignore it, after all, the important information is how many turns the player will be injured ;)
Country points obtained on CL or Libertadores are doubled. In other words, a victory or draw on these competitions are now worth twice as much country points as the same result on UEFA Cup or Copa Sudamericana.
When a loan was renewed the smallest asked period was used as the new loan period. For example, if I asked 36-144 turns the renewal period would be 36 turns, even if the other manager had originally loaned him for 108 turns. This will remain the same for existing loans, but for new ones the exact period will be used for renewal.
