“I offered him 2k more than what HE was asking for!! "
Why would you ever do that?
I had the same. But even more annoying: he was even returned before he was loaned!
Turn 12: Mariano Toedtli has returned from Dynamo Barnaul. Their coaching level has dropped below the level allowed by contract.
Turn 13: We have loaned Mariano Toedtli to Dynamo Barnaul. He will stay with them until season 121, turn 49.
(currently he is for loan again)
Is it possible to get an option to remove old scouting reports from http://rubysoccer.com/game/scout_reports ?
An 18 year old player should be happy if he can play a few games in a season, I think?
That is a good way to ensure bad morale for the players who won’t be playing any games.
“18) Player limit for teams will be increased to 40”
When will this be introduced?
Is it? In some seasons I have worked with totally different formations (no overlap) for home and away games…
Dennis Bergkamp – Won’t play away international games (fear of flying)
Homesick – Won’t play any away games
“as a minimum a player will always give you 1 counter proposal "
If you change this to ‘as a minimum a player will always accept 1 counter proposal’’ negotiations between players and managers are still possible. Isn’t that better?
An example of a ‘negotiation’ with a player of 32 year old (and I thought older players go down in player value so don’t go up in wages).
I: 18000 (current wage)
Player: 23000
I: 21000
Player: Stops negotiations
I didn’t care so much about losing this player, but if you do care, you have no choice in accepting whatever demand the player has, or to risk losing him. So there is no room for negotiating anymore. I do not believe that this was the purpose of the change?
With the way negotiations currently work, it’s not really negotiating anymore. Perhaps it can be renamed to ‘Take-it-or-leave-it’?
Yeah, my idea is more like having clerics, wizards etc in other games, with bonusses and disadvantages.
Flat track bully is a nice idea, the opposite (+ in important games/against strong teams, – against weaker teams) is also common in real life I think.
Card collector – +200% red/yellow cards (related to agression, but can also be for argueing with the ref)
Those advantages and disadvantages should be public information btw (otherwise it’s just less fun).
Ever thought about having players with a characteristic that deviate from the normal rules? Examples:
Obviously I’m inspired by non-football games with this idea, but I think it can be nice!
If you missed this, I have a young 96 keeper (started the season with 93) for sale: 10M

@Guus: my guess is that it’s in the range of 36-72 turns (based on "long enough so that if you are trying to renew a contract and he gets pissed off you won’t be able to renew before he forgets about it. ")
The disadvantage of the system is that you can lose players, the advantage is that there will be more good players on the transfermarket.
It will take some time for the player to forget the ‘insult’. By that time he is probably hired by another team, but if not you can try again.
(I have the same problem with a player I really really wanted)
My negotiation strategy (quite succesful in keeping low wages) was to offer very low wages and reject the offer of the player many times. I guess I have to change that :P
Yeah, it seems logical that the chance to get injured should (also) depend on age. I don’t know if this is already the case?
There are very few injuries in this game. To please people, that is good, because no one likes to have injured players. But what’s the use of physiotherapy then? Very little.
Wouldn’t having more injuries make the game more challenging? And realistic?
Just a small bug, no big deal, but I’ll report it anyway. I hardly play friendlies anymore, but I got an invitation in FT. When I went to the invitations screen I didn’t see it, neither was there a message that the invitation was withdrawn.

América-RN has invited us for a friendly match.
Go to your invitations page in order to accept or reject it.
Hidden flags by default is fine, but I like to see them, and I notice that I have to click show flags again and again. It is possible to have it work like a switch (on/off) and/or a setting?
I see that the stars have replaced the national flags in the players screen?
Keeper 1 has the better weighted average for keeping/speed and keeping/header, but keeper 2 has a much higher value. Not only that, the average rating of keeper 2 is much higher (while he plays away games and keeper 1 the home games).
I do wonder how important passing is for a keeper.
What’s the average rating you expect of a CL competing team keeper?
Which keeper would you rather have and why?
Keeper 1:
Keeping: 94
Tackle: 23
Passing: 72
Shooting: 27
Speed: 87
Dribble: 95
Control: 86
Header: 90
Aggressiveness: 74
Keeper 2:
Keeping: 89
Tackle: 34
Passing: 83
Shooting: 32
Speed: 100
Dribble: 87
Control: 90
Header: 91
Aggressiveness: 6
“For those who don’t follow us on Twitter, click here to see how the team players screen will look like.”
Can you test if the Team Players Script still works with the new team players screen?
As far as I know, nationaly doesn’t play a role in the game (gamewise). It’s no problem if your Ukrainian team only has Brazilian players.
In real life it does play a role: players being homesick, restrictions on the amount of foreign players etc.
I propose to make nationality matter (just a bit) which has a base in real life: make teams more attractive for sponsors depending on the amount of domestic players.
For example, an English team with only English players could get twice the sponsor money compared to one with only non-English players, of 50% more with 50% English and 50% foreign players.
In practice there won’t be that much difference between teams in the amount of foreign/domestic players, so the influence on the game is not that big. But it does add some flavour, I think.
Haven’t noticed what you said about FT. In general I’m positive about the changes.
Just for the record, I had already bid on the player before reading this thread (and didn’t get him), so I think this message is inappropiate:
