I’m sure that with more managers we will have a better transfer market. It’s not fair to have an active market based on CPU dumb decisions. I’m glad to hear players are being sold to CPU after the change, I’ve also sold one myself earlier this season.
I hope to get promotion this season and qualify for an international competition in the next. First goal seems to be easier, even the board expects that. Not sure about the second, too many strong teams out there, even though most are not currently managed.
When I joined Colombia I barely avoided relegation but then won two league titles in a row. Not a big deal given the weakness of the league there. My greatest accomplishment was the 4 points scored in Libertadores group stage, beating São Caetano in the first match and holding Boca Juniors to a 2-2 draw in the second.
See you next season, Dimitri :-)
Yes, wrong topic, but I’ll answer anyway :-)
Felipe Santos told me he had a second account (Nuno Lopes) so I blocked the second account but let him keep Marseille instead of Gama.
Cheers.
It’s fine if the player is transfer listed before announcing retirement…maybe we should change this rule and remove the player from TL when he announces it.
CPU teams can…they’re not cheaters :-)
@Vaughn: I agree, next change to CPU behavior will make them increase coaching level when they’re financially comfortable to do so.
Not a bug, we just got used to sell our not-so-good players to CPU teams. I believe they’ll start buying again once they can’t find players they consider promising in the free transfer. We’ll need a few season to have a better idea how the change is working, if it’s a bad thing we can redesign the CPU buying behavior again.
Cheers
It doesn’t care about stamina, just choose the “best” in overall skills.
Cheers
CPU teams were too fond of good old players, now they prefer a long-term strategy, hiring younger prospects or players they believe might be useful in a few seasons. I’m sure I’ll miss them buying my veterans as well. Let’s see how this change will affect CPU squads.
Welcome to RubySoccer Bruno! I hope you enjoy your time here and get in touch with some managers from SoccerSim.
Cheers
But getting 10+ teams is only an advantage if they play well, cause the country points is the average of the teams’ points. My suggestion to reduce the discrepancies is to stop giving points for pre-group stage matches and for getting into the group stage, that means only victories or draws during the group stage and following stages would be considered. How does that sound?
Managers fired, reputation reduced, moved to the bottom of the manager ranking. They were warned to not immediately join each others team or the same league, otherwise they’ll just be fired again. heraser can become a GameMaster if he feels he enjoys the job :-)
Improved decision making for CPU teams when buying / selling players or hiring youths. They now have a better guess on the player potential instead of just considering their immediate needs. Loaning players not included yet.
Cheers.
It just so happens that the manager confessed being favored by the others. They all know each other but the ones who favored her are not really committed to the game. There is a discussion going on with the GMs to decide the best course of action.
Thanks again for the help heraser.
Alright, just sent Corinthians manager a message saying this is currently under investigation and everybody will be punished should it continue. I also demanded to know which of these accounts are fake or used just for that purpose.
Thanks for all the hard work guys, I wouldn’t have the time to do such a detailed investigation myself :-)
If you look at the international points carefully you’ll see there is a correction factor in place so that if a team starts in the qualifying round and win all the matches up to the final in Champions League he’ll have the same number of points as a team which does the same in Libertadores. The same analogy can be done between Europa League and Sudamericana. The only disadvantage not corrected by this factor is the fact that more countries in Europe will have teams automatically qualifying for the group stage, giving them some points to start with. Once we have more countries in South America the problem will be exactly the opposite.
We’ll try to find a better way to calculate the international points, but the thing is the existing slightly disadvantage shouldn’t be a big deal when your country starts performing well. I’m hoping to help Colombia next season by playing Libertadores ;-)
I thought about having CPU profiles, but I’m working on some basic improvements first. CPU teams are not very good in evaluating player’s potential yet and still buy some old players just because they fit their squad, no matter if it’s not a smart deal. I’ll change their transfers decisions based on long-term goals, not immediate needs only, as it is today.
The profiles you suggest could be very useful when it comes to CPU tactics. This is another area that needs major improvements. Now that we have a higher number of CPU teams it will be nice to have them better managing their squads and tactics.
Cheers.
It’s a hell of a keeper, but too old for this price I’d say. I have some ideas to improve CPU buy/sell skills, let’s see what I can do. Oh, let’s not forget about loans, CPU teams should be loaning players :-)
Yet another way to confirm you’re on holiday mode. After entering holiday mode exit the dimension. In the enter dimension screen you will see a red message saying “HOLIDAY MODE=ON” right below the description of the dimension(s) where you are on holiday.
Cheers.
And it’s done.
You know if it worked if the button changes from “Go on vacation” to “Return from vacation” or something equivalent. But yes, it certainly doesn’t hurt to add what you’re suggesting. I’ll try to do that later today.
Cheers.
Do you feel like shopping?

Yeah, I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to include min/max estimated value as options in the scout search :-)
I thought about it but decided it’s just a joke, no harm done. We DON’T want to start another argument, do we? :-)
Not interested ;-)
In-game messages can easily be ignored, they are not a public shout for everyone to see. I don’t plan to spend that much time taking care of the forums, we’ll soon assign moderators to do that job. It’s not like we have that many messages any way.
The time I spend here in the forums is not wasted time, sometimes very interesting ideas pop up and that’s why I want to remove all the noise with the help of moderators. Don’t worry about me giving up, every time I realize something in RubySoccer is annoying me too much I just get away from it during some time and when I return I’m ready to deal with it again :-)
I understand what you’re saying Filipe. I won’t discuss here whether or not it was offensive. The reason I censored your post was because lately there’s been too much personal complaints and pointless discussions in the forums, most of them directed to Davison, as we all know. That said, there’s no reason to keep teasing him over and over, being offensive or not. We have a formal policy now and I’m hoping that everyone, including Davison, will try to follow that.
I’m sure we have better things to discuss here :-)
It’s just common sense, but it’s good to have something we can refer to and update if necessary.
Forum Policy: http://www.rubysoccer.com/forums/5/topics/2037
RubySoccer forums are open to all users to discuss, comment, give suggestions, constructively criticize the game or just chat about it. Administrators and forum moderators exist to make sure posts are not offensive, malicious or unrelated to the purpose of these forums and that topics don’t digress too much from their original subject.
The key rule is common sense. If you want to denounce a possible cheater you are welcome to do so in a non-offensive way. Do not use the forums to resolve personal matters. If you have a problem with someone in particular you should contact one of the administrators or game masters and explain the situation.
Topics and posts found not to be in accordance with the common sense rules expressed above can and probably will be deleted without warning. Offenders may face punishment(s), which may include one or more of the following: dismissal from your current team(s), temporary or permanent ban and other restrictions. The decision will be left at the discretion of the administrators and game masters.
@Berhan: I think I was not clear about that, small countries CAN generate a superstar, the limit is the same for all countries, the difference is only how often that happens
