So Montanha, do you have an evil eye, or is there another reason Tigre is performing so badly?
I actually think the system is ok as it is… and I conctracted more youth players than anyone else in the game ;)
+1.
Davison is the Ruud Gullit of Rubysoccer ;)
So the game is flawed for you, but not for the other managers in your league (who don’t have to pay such a high wages). Must be tough!
And other managers in your league (paying much less on player salaries) don’t have that problem?
The game is a bit flawed yes, though not because of the things you said. But if a manager pays much too high wages, the board should do something about it.
No sex involved, but I had the same:
From: The Board
Subject: Contract renewed
Iván Mexías’s contract has been renewed. We couldn’t let him leave the club.
In this case it was a good thing though, since he was sold at the same tick.
“Also, I’ve applied a transparent black box to our navigation menu,”
Not sure what this is supposed to mean or where exactly I can find it!?
Well, I wanted to keep him at first, but then I got two good young keepers, and they will get more playing time with Dutra gone.. and the idea is to make a strong Dutch league in about half a year time.

Jefferson Dutra, keeping 96, speed 93, header 85, 25 years old
For a very cheap price: 20M
A fuckin prostitute? ;)
Yep, I want something like that for the Schedule friendlies at season start.
It would be nice if ‘Schedule friendlies on season start?’ gave an option for a formation. It saves the time (and the RSI) of changing the formations of all the games by hand.
Price lowered to 4,664,384 (board doesn’t allow a lower price…)

33 years defender, 90 def, 88 average, valued at 46M, I sell him for 5M gc…
I also played Soccersim, though I don’t remember anymore which teams I managed.
Rubysoccer is a lot like Soccersim, but there are differences. You’ll find out if you read the help and the announcements in the forum.
Almere has a manager now, Den Bosch is still free.
Another interesting team is ADO Den Haag, second in the Eerste Divisie. The average age of their first team is 20 years! How strong will they be in five years time?

Enjoy! :)
Too radical. However, perhaps give an extra youth player for having level 10, so to have it more value for the 100k upkeep you pay extra compared to level 9.
Works fine, thanks!
“When being disputed by more than one club the players used to decide where to go based only in the highest wage, but not anymore. The player decision has been enhanced to also consider first team opportunity, in other words, how good he is compared to his future teammates in the same position.
Example: team A and team B are making offers to an attacker. In team A he would become the 2nd best attacker, in team B he would become the 4th best attacker. If team A and team B offer the same wage, or even if team B’s offer is slightly better, he will go to team A. In order to hire the player team B must make a much better offer.
There is no easy way to tell how much more team B needs to offer in a situation like the one above, only practical situations will tell you that. It really depends on player quality (the higher the quality, higher the wage difference needed) and relative position difference (2nd best vs. 3rd best, 1st best vs. 5th best…the higher this position difference, higher the wage difference needed)."
Nice!
Some shit team? Well, thank you!
Anyway, it’s not a bug, it’s a feature. It is how the free transfer system is supposed to work.
Den Bosch is free now. What can you find there?
Jean Pruvost, 19yr, 80 av
Mailson Penteado and Ricardo Mota, 19 yr, 78 av
Caim Passos, 18 yr, 77 av
Braga, Dejean, Galy, Pacheco, Magalhães and Langlois, 17 yr, 71 av
and many more talented players.
Who wants to develop them and make a great team?

It’s only a problem if you have more than three M L players (or A R or D L or something simular). In that case, just sell one…
“other manager fined” means that some financial penalty, I suppose. Hopefully it was a big one.
Actually The Netherlands is a very interesting league right now. Especially for managers who like young upcoming players.
A few examples,
And there’s ADO, AZ, Zwolle, MVV and many others, all teams with mainly juniors.
The job if a new manager would be to develop the young players by letting them play a lot of games. Optional is to scout from time to time to add some new juniors to the list, but most of the scouting has been done for you already.
If you think that seeing your team/players become stronger is one of the main charms of Soccersim, come to The Netherlands!
Great work!
I have one more request. You are supposed to edit the script, so to include your team number. However, I manage two teams, one in both dimensions. It is possible to change the script to facilitate managing two teams? For example, something like this:
var MyFtTeam =
var MyMtTeam =
Whenever a player has changed stats, the average shows as NaN. Am I the only one with this problem?
For example: Caim Passos A C 18 - 67 69 80 87 77 74 82 NaN 47 52 $8,993 $31,900,104 35 20 (where 74 is in blue)
