Yes Hugo, if you don’t change the transfer price is like you’re refusing the offer, the player won’t negotiate with the other team. You can send the guy a message just to make it clear to him that you’re not willing to accept the price :-)

I play with Genoa in fastticker and have invited bayern Munchen for a friendly in tick 98. When I saw my message box this morning Bayern Munchen had accepted this friendly in tick 98 twice. I found this strange but the friendly also is fixed twice in the match schedule.
So now we play the match Bayern Munchen – Genoa 2 times in tick 98.
Can you fix it.

Can´t see my team playing in fastticker…
I thought I had fixed left-right problem yesterday but today I realized it is partially fixed. If you watch the match from 10 to 10 seconds you’ll see the players in the right sides, but in the intermediate seconds the left and right sides are swaped, producing an annoying effect if you’re watching the replay continuously instead of step-by-step. It’s easy to fix, I’ll try to do it tonight.

Hi. My suggestion is a link to the match replay somewhere before we know the match result. Like in the main page, on the “recent and next matches”, if we had a link to the replay on the turn number, or next to “League”. I think it would make it a lot funnier to watch the replays without actually knowing if we won or not.

You probably have a player whose name contains a character like ‘ç’. I can’t see my replays also because of that. While we don’t fix the problem I’ll change all ‘ç’ to ‘c’ and remove those names from our lists so no more players are generated with them.

It is a bug, but also the expected behaviour of the system. The logic to select the players to complete the squad does not take into consideration the position of the unavailable players, it simply choose the player with best main attribute, no matter his position. We know that’s really annoying but that’s on our list to fix it. After a long time growing our list of bugs is becoming smaller (not that small, we currently have 73, including bugs and enhancements) so we may be able to give a higher priority to this problem.

I don’t know if it’s a bug or not, but I’m going to explain it here…
I’m playing with Atletico de Madrid in fast ticker. I’ve played the last national Cup final. But my striker was injured for that match and I could not conect to the game this past night to make changes so…
Automaticaly, Ruby system has replaced that free hole and it has included a defender to replace my striker…
So finally, my initial 4-5-1 system was changed to 5-5-0…
As you can imagine I’ve done a horrible match, final result was 0-0, and I’ve lost the final in the final penalty shoots…
I really don’t know if it’s a bug, but I think that the “normal” change would have been to replace a striker for another striker… Right?
What do you think?

I can’t see replays of any match on fast ticker.
But when I try to do it on medium ticker, the replay works just fine…
why?

I became worried for a few minutes until I looked at the code. The problem is only in the full match replay, not in the match simulation, so don’t worry, your players are playing in the side you positioned them, not in the opposite one :-)

I was seeing de full match replay for my games and I saw that the team formation is not the same than is in the formation screen. The players that I have in the right side appear in the left side and the players in the left side appears in the right side.
Is that a problem in the full match replay or is a problem in the game formation? All my players that have been playing in the sides have bad performance in the game.

The answer is yes, if yours is not working it`s probably due to enconding problems, characters like `ã` in the player names could cause that. We’re working to fix it.

For now I will only comment one thing: a screen like managersim´s strategy for attack and defense is in our plans. I was going to implement that a couple months ago, but decided to go for the position changes / substitution rules first. Maybe I will do that one next, who knows….
The problem is we have a lot do to, not only in the match engine. I hope we can fit everything in as fast as possible!

It remembered me when I played soccer in little courts and the goalie lauched the ball through all the court until it reaches the attacker! In Rubysoccer, when this didn’t happen, then the defender passed the ball to the center midfield and then he passed to the center attacker! Besides, Gabriel was right some time ago previewing that every player would be running after the ball, it was hilarious! And what some miracle saves made by the Gks!! They’re rocks!!!
Now, talking serious, I noticed other things (because I had players playing at the center). In my game there was no play on the sides, I felt like was playing without at least 2 players, since my left and right wings didn’t saw the ball’s colour! They were use completely useless…
I noticed another middle problem, too, the gaps between the middle and the defence… You must have someone playing in D C +1 and another in M C -1, or you’ll have a huge hole. However, I must say that my defender playing in DC -1 was playing very well anticipating the attackers and stealing the ball.
I suggest that the game has an strategy configuration (similar to Managersim or better) that could tell a player where he has to play… With the ball, for example, you go forward and left (to be better tham MS, he could take short or long runs). Without the ball, you have to cover an area… This one could solve the hole problems.
As a lat observation, I think we should think about how quick the engine changes should happen. I don’t know how you guys are going to do it, but like was said there’s a lot to do… and if we wait and the changes didn’t work? I think you could do a little research to see what players think of it, but I think that a change in the engine (unlike the changes in players side and positions) affects everybody equally. Just warn us about what was changed (and which is the intention) and we’ll be prepared. What do you think?

That is also the first thing I did when I saw the replay working (laughed a lot). It is very funny to see the imature state of our player AI :).
Anyway, we always knew that we needed to improve a lot on it. Now we will have everybody’s help :).

I liked the suggestion to improve the match engine between seasons (that would mean between MediumTicker seasons). Totally agree about the 4 players line problem, my ideia is to place the players on those intermediate positions in the match instead of creating extra positions in the formation screen. We just need to make sure that doesn’t break anything in the match.
The important thing is that now everybody can see what happened during a match and give us feedback about it. We know there is a lot to do on that matter and it will require patience from all of you guys. Let’s see if we can deliver an improved engine every MediumTicker season.
