Vitória Sport Clube Guimarães defeat Liverpool on Anfield Road and go to the next Phase on Champions League!!
Was a amazing Victory!!
Is this change already implemented in fastticker this season?
CATASTROPHE!!!
Liverpool out of CL in the group stage.
A sad day for the current European Champions who have fallen out of grace with the football gods. The Reds lost 1-2 at Anfield to Guiamares in a make or brake game. After a promising 3 first games where Liverpool collected 5 points out of 9, all away from the comfort of home, the Reds were though to have the qualification and perhaps the Group lead at hand since the remaining 3 games were to be played at Anfield. However it wasn’t meant to be so and as the first three games had shown, the Reds were having trouble finalizing their chances, despite the fact that they always outplayed the opponent. Liverpool lost the first home game 1-3 to Auxerre, despite dominating 21-13 in shots. Hence, a win over Guimaraes became imperative. Liverpool scored first in the very first minutes of the games, creating the idea that the Red Army was about to walk over the Portuguese champs. But the Lusitans turned the game around quickly, showing a display of strength and technique never before demonstrated so far in the group matches. Final score 1-2 and quite shockingly Liverpool were out. So is the cruel fate of football my dear friends!!!
Yet, we cannot conclude this monologue without a feeling that we deserved more, from this last match and from the matches before. Despite collecting only two points in games with Auxerre and Vittoria, Liverpool outshot the opponents 77-55. And somehow, we were outscored 4-7. Cry me a river Justin!!! :D
Oh well, good luck to our opponents. I hope Charles can make it all the way to the final :).
Meanwhile: FIRE SALE AT LIVERPOOL!!! Team will be renewed to support implementation of new ideas in the team.
Cheers
D
You’ll Never Walk Alone
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Tho’ your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk alone
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Tho’ your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone

Hidden values sound good, specially for caps…we need to come up with a way to prevent national managers to benefit themselves and friends by selecting their clubs’ players, if we ever add such a bonus for caps.
We have a plan to make players temporarily lose skills in some situations such as playing rarely in first team, as you mentioned.
No changes in the match engine. I still believe we used to have more of these results. As Félix mentioned (in Portuguese) above, most of these results are not something to worry about as football is unpredictable too often. Also, remember that the number of shots in RubySoccer is still too high when compared to real life, that’s probably our biggest problem…our matches are too dynamic, not the defensive style of play we see nowadays in real life :-)
Liverpool-Auxerre
3-4-3 formation 4-4-2
46% possession 54%
24 shots 15
21 shots on target 13
95% accurrate passes 91%
59% effective tackles 54%

11 fouls 3
These results are coming back from what I can gather as there are other scores that are baffling me. Has anything changed in the match engine?
now he’s $259,407,890 – OMG!
thanks to this thread, now i’m aware that players can grow beyond their 26th bday. But this obviously does not happen very often …
.
How about some hidden values being enabled by playing for a big team, winning a trophy, playing caps, etc ??
Vice versa, losing skills by playing rarely in first team or playing a minor league/country ?

its a shame we couldnt do trades of players either
Well, during the period that was supposed to have a competition you’ll be unable to change the players in the national team, but I guess that’s ok since there are no matches to play yet :-)
After a dark period, a new manager takes over V. Guimarães promissing to continue the great work of Filipe Silva.
Most players were tired, so it was necessary to form a B team to bounce back in the league.
The aim was to recover the team for the UCL.
The work was hard, we had some losses, but after some tough rounds the team entered the shaft. The B team got along and is doing a fine job in the league, first team debut and well at UCL.
Some players were dismissed and two were hired, the goal always to improve the team. The expectations for the season are to qualify for EL and reach the semifinals of the UCL.
The new manager Felix Cardoso promised to the passionate fans that V. Guimarães will shine again, as happened in the management of the great Filipe Silva.
Soon we’ll have more news.
My national team assistent notificate me I have 3 turns to prepare the team for the next competition, but there is no national teams competition this season at Medium Ticker, should we just ignore the messenge?

The age limit is really 31, when the skills start to decrease, not increase. And not all players get 140 skill points to improve, that’s just an average. And even for players that have always played regularly it is still possible that they continue improving beyond 25 y.o., as long as they locked in stats haven’t all been unlocked, as Sly pointed out. Of course you’re more likely to find these situations when the player has not played many official matches or has been in teams with low coaching level.
@Sly
Both Costa and Hertha;s goalie have played all the possible games and beyond to reach their full growth. These are not players that have only played 100 games before and, hence, can still grow at ages of 26 and 29
They improve untill there “locked in stats” are all there. Wether he’s 23 or 29 doesn’t matter. If he has it in him to increase 140 stats, then he will :). He just needs the X amount of games. If X hasn’t been reached yet….then he will keep on increasing untill he has. Age has no influence…
Virginio Costa – a 29 y.o. defender of mine is improved from 629 to 641 this season. He even isn’t a brazilian international. :)

Gabriel, what’s wondering me is the fact that he’s improving a Lot Beyond His 26th birthday. I thought Player stop developing After 25 Years ?
