Levante VS Espanyol

32 shots on target 9
86% accurrate passes 87%
75% effective tackles 41%

2 offsides 3
1 fouls 5
Considering the fact that Espanyol keeper had keeping skill of 84 speed 86 and overall average approx 84 and Levante had 32 shots on target and, please let me know what we should do to score… It is understandable if the keeper skill is good, you cannot score… but if you cannot score even when the keeper is bullshit, what is it that we can do to score :S
C can play in RC, albeit not in R :)

Transfer fee is 5 million currently… and negotiable
but jason, if you check the new stats after the match engine updates last season, the number of unrealistic goals has drastically dropped down… The number of total goals in Spanish Primeria division in season 31 was 1464 goals where as that number was 962 in season 32, which means it dropped by 502 goals. Considering the match engine updates were made after some 10 games into the season, the number of goals scored is not that huge.
About 2% change, until you see the effect of this change, no body can say if that was adequate or not…
We can keep on complaining about stuffs, but basically, what we need to understand is that it is the same system for everyone. And it will take a long time to make things perfect, we just have to wait. nothing is gonna happen overnight.
Edit: it is 570 goals from 24 matches in season 33 in Spainish Primeria Division… which means it is 28.5 goals per team in 24 matches and 1.1875 goals per match per team…
i went out at round of 16 and had 20% drop… ;)
i know things are not real, but then we all know about this problem and even gabriel and danilo know about this problem… Some time ago they reduced the chance of creating superstars by two percentage (2%) after similar complaints…
The problem is that it takes a long time to see the effect of such a change because they will be applicable to those players that are growing and not to the players that have already reached their maximum growth. so, for any such change to occur now it would take around 10 seasons to see its effect properly… i think you guys wait and see…
Don’t ever think that we (game players and administrators ) are not aware of the problems… we are but then we have some other pressing issues such as match engines to look at….
but any such feedback are welcomed… I hope Jason would join ruby soccer despite its shortcomings. it will take some time but i can definitely say as a game player the system has improved with time ….
lets not go back… lets not do that… lets improve on top of current engine
i also agree. current match engine is more realistic than the previous one… i think the issue is about fine tuning the current setup…
hmm… no worries gab, at least from my side :) i am doing pretty much better than the season before… ( last season was also better compared to before…;) )
although sometimes i feel for strikers…, but i don’t want to be those strikers to be as good as they were before the updates, it is good that midfielders are getting more shots in, but they are all becoming christiano ronaldo… may be that should reduce a lil bit, not too much… … apart from that i kind of like the match engine updates… i wouldn’t ask you guys to change it drastically, i think a lil bit of fine tuning would be more preferable… i think we are heading in the right direction :)
but then… purpose of this thread was actually to divert attention from match results and let the guys get some broader view of management… Not just a team but looking at the championship as a whole… but seems i pretty much failed there :)
its not an explanation but merely a suggestion… may be his loan contract ran out…
lets hope gabriel recovers quickly, danilo settles-down down under quickly and take some time to update the match engine…
currently strikers are more or less useless and keepers are valuable because of feeble shots from midfielders…

From the Data above, it is quite clear that Spain is the most competitive league after round 18. Portugal lies close second in top 5 and 7, but loses out in the Top 10 calculations. Argentina, Brazil and France are also quite competitive. Italy is the least competitive league as the statistic suggests and thus, Napoli could be in for a shot at champions league title this season ;)
well… davison, i am human, so, i cannot answer on behalf of computer (CPU Teams). May be they have different strategy, and it could be that now they don’t need your players… i don’t think this is that big an issue… i have seen CPU teams buying players, but never saw CPU teams entering into the loan market…
markko… if you have any country in your thoughts, please suggest one along with its first division and second division teams… it is better if you have the full list of teams:)

Numancia Vs Levante
0 × 0
5-4-1 formation 4-4-2
46% possession 54%
8 shots 31
8 shots on target 24
82% accurrate passes 90%
56% effective tackles 55%
2 corners 12
3 offsides 2
10 fouls 3
(14 of those shots on target were from strikers… My striker with 98 shooting skill cannot even score a penalty against a keeper with 94 skill and 89 speed :S)
i thought you would add turkey to MT this season …
i bought my keeper on season 32 for 15M when he was already 32. but that was well invested, because he had amazing skills of 100 keeping, 94 speed, 86 dribling, 100 control and 85 header :)
i don’t know if that was cheating;) but i have reached champions league courtesy of his performance… but then such gems are not found everyday
@sly,
first, your keeper, on the overall is much better than that of Valladolid…
you have a problem that you cannot accept someone else being appreciated for his good work. no one here has been talking about you, but then still you had to poke your nose in the middle and trumpet yourself being good… stop being a whiner, and appreciate Rui Antunes for his good work.
( and also check the no of defenders in Valladolids team who are in the 80s, and for once stop trumpeting about yourself… Please behave like a game master) ( finally don’t ever come out and say you said that in jest…)
Valladolid is the World Champion… :)
or really cheap to persuade someone to buy :)
who needs a striker now :( ?? i would rather look for midfielder with a good shooting skill :)
no problems with that… better late than never :)
Levante wins the Spanish Cup…
sorry to disturb u guys, but then this is my first ever title in ruby soccer…
I feel for Javier though, he had to manage his team for 4 consecutive official matches…
gabriel, i would like to see the same statistics after you implemented the updates???
i think the change is good, once we find the optimum setup
i believe goalkeepers are now getting more MOTM because the midfielders and defenders are getting more shots at the goal rather than proper strikers. In my case i have seen 50% of shots coming from mids and defenders. so, these goalkeepers, most of the times save these shots and that is i think more of an important factor in making goalkeepers invaluable…
for eg, if a team has 30 shots on target and lets say 15 of them are from strikers and 15 from other players, goal keeper has more chances to save those latter 15 shots, which i think is good enough to give him a good rating…
( i am not saying other players shouldn’t get a strike, but it has certainly made goalkeepers look better… In real life tall defenders/midfielders are really handy during the corners and AMs ( attacking midfielders) are scoring more often… but i think we should still wait for some time, try more tactics before judging this new system…
I like the current system in the sense that it has brought down those too many high scoring matches… but i still can’t figure out how i could get a chance to score)
@ulisses, that was a pretty good match… my team having less no of shots does not mean that my shooters are bad, it is just because the way i want my players to shoot at the goal… you had 52% of possession against 48% of mine (that is ok given it was your home match)… which is not a great deal and moreover this percentage calculations is not accurate as gabriel said somewhere in the forum ( i will find it out someday for you).
And remember i beat you 2-1 in the reverse fixture… it is just how you use you players… and i believe after the recent changes no one is quite sure how they can find the best strategy, and i think we all are doing the same thing, trying to find a better strategy…
i am not saying that system is too worse… it is just that you picked the wrong match to complain…
check this match… keepers being the man of the match doesn’t basically mean that his team wins or he does not concede… http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/match_report/599926
(and finally hiring good players is the first stage of creating a good strategy)
