Well said Charles, I agree with everything. The way the market was set before made the game so much more interesting.
I realize that if you want to, you can still search and search for good players on the market(although I think they are few and far between). But I personally don’t have enough time(and maybe patience) to spend hours doing this, and I think there may be several other managers that would say the same.
Thanks Danilo, Happy New Year.
Thanks for the game and hope 2012 is a good year for ruby soccer.
I think that the youth development system needs to be adjusted. I notice lately in France(FT), which is a strong league(although now not no. 1), that the standard of youth coming through seems to be much lower. I think teams in all countries should be able to see at least 1 high quality youth player coming through the system at least every 3 or 4 seasons. I think the last decent youth player to arrive in my team is now 28 years old. All players want to have star players in their team; whether they are purchased or developed from youth. I don’t see what is wrong with have more high quality players in the game; with more of these players, there would be more activity on the market.
Also, with cpu teams being involved in the transfer market, it gives human managers more possibility of selling juniors and older players that they don’t want, and buying junior players from cpu teams to develop. This may weaken cpu teams, but in real life, any league in the world has its powerhouse teams as opposed to its struggling teams; it’s just the way it is.
As I mentioned before for new players wishing to join, maybe a free teams market page, with a formula based on total value of players and cash combined, would allow new(and current managers wanting to change teams) the ability to choose a stronger free team.
I enjoy playing the game quite a lot, however I still think back to the managersim days when there were more quality players on the market, a more vibrant economy, cpu players involved and exciting youth players coming through the system. If it’s a more exciting game to play, then surely it would encourage more people to join up.
I must say, recently I have become a little bored with Ruby Soccer. There is no longer much interest in the transfer market, there are very few juniors coming through worth keeping; there doesn’t seem to be much going on at all. I admit, I could spend more time searching for juniors, or canvassing other managers to buy class players. However, my time playing the game on a regular basis is limited and I like to see a more vibrant game than what I see now. I think the cpu teams need to be more involved in buying and selling than what they are now. Also, maybe to encourage new managers, or manager transfers, possibly a list of top free teams and there player and cash values could be considered.
Thanks Dirk, I got him at Monaco. I haven’t got lots of cash available so am very happy to get him.
I seem to be having a problem in fast tick(Monaco) where I set my main formation and when I come back and check again, it has been changed. The problem is that I never change my formation from my top rated players because I have several loan players and I don’t want any of them to be returned to their clubs that own them due to too many matches missed.
I have only noticed this happening since I have had a disagreement with Rene Silva from Kickers Offenbach who wants me to return a player he purchased from another club; he keeps sending me a loan termination message which I now no longer reply to.
Is it possible for any other user to change the formations of another user’s team?
I have recently taken over managing at Monaco(fast ticker) and this subject brought my attention to Rene Silva; he recently purchased a player that I have on loan from another club for the remainder of this season(Daniel Sousa). He is beginning to irritate me with his repeated requests for the player’s loan to be terminated, which I don’t want to do.
I have just listed a 34 year old player for sale(Enzo Méndez) who Rene sold to Monaco last season for over $38million. He is currently valued at under $24million and I doubt I will get anything like that. At the time Rene sold him to Monaco, the manager was Vinicius Ferreira who now manages Ituano. Last season Vinicius sold a very good player to Rene from Ituano, his name; Alceu Novais and he is now worth over $80million. If you take the $38m Monaco lost off the $70m he paid for Novais, he got a damn good player for about $32m!
I have also noticed a couple of other trades between the 2 managers back in season 50. It’s really good managing when you can get rid of all your old players for top dollars and buy good players for below market price! Maybe I need to look at getting myself one or two “good friends” so that I can truly compete with the opposition.
Hi Gabriel,
Is the model for youth player development still the same now? I mean, nothing has changed in the rules for how a player develops? Also, I feel that there are less good youth players now coming into the game; is that correct? Have you adjusted values for new youth players starting in academy at any time recently?
Thanks,
Tim
That’s what you get for managing Manchester City!
Thanks Gabriel, is this happening straight away or sometime in the near future? I can cop this particular deal going wrong, as long as the game rules are changing for the better of the game.
What about when you buy a player who isn’t loaned out like I just have in fasttick and before you have completed the transfer, the selling club loans out to another club – very unfair, unethical. I spend $8M on a 31 year old to improve my team immediately and now i have to wait 1 year before he helps me. This shouldn’t happen.
I agree. The player definately wasn’t loaned when I started negotiating the price, however, by the time I had finished negotiating the price and wage he had been loaned out to another club. Makes me wonder if Benfica manager is “good friends” with manager he loaned the player to(Benfica gets the benefit of $8M for selling an older player and the club that loaned him only has to pay his wage for the year). I pay nearly $8M for him knowing that I will only get a good 4 or 5 seasons out of him; now I miss the benefit of having him for a whole season. I would like to know if this rip off can be looked at by admin and if the transaction can be reversed.
I manage Blackburn in fasttick. I purchased Hernadez from Benfica and before the negotiation is settled he is loaned out to another club for 1 year. It seems unfair that clubs can do this while a sale negotiation is going on, otherwise I wouldn’t have purchased him if he was on loan for 1 year. Thanks Benfica!
For a quality defender or mid we will spend $
Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!
Welcome to the promised land!
“need to put more teams to join the liberators, but no country will overtake Brazil in the ranking score.”
Will Brazil become more and more dominant in this game to the point that no other country can compete with them?
I believe Australia should quite comfortably win the world cup! lol!
I can’t change my tactics for my default team in medium ticker(Inter). Is anybody else having this problem? That is – passing, shooting and tackling tactics.
Place your resume; new manager needed at Albacete. Decided to resign and apply for my favourite team in England. Go for it – competetive Spanish club in top league, top players and financially sound. Good luck.
Also, is it easier for a country to dominate South America(as there are less countries) as compared to Europe(more countries)? eg- at the moment Brazil has 4 teams in the finals of Sth America, where as it would be very difficult for any European country to do the same in Europe. Therefore, Brazil will always dominate the points; in real life, even though Brazil produces some of the world’s best players, it can’t be considered as the dominating league in the world.
“the socceroos will never win” – WASH YOUR MOUTH OUT LUC!!!!!
Thanks Gabriel, much more realistic now. Thanks for all the hard work on the game so far – it’s getting better all the time. I have just donated for the first time.
Cheers,
Tim
I have a player in fast tick(Albacete) that I want to transfer, however the board won’t let me go lower than $23,231,013. He is worth over $92M but I believe that selling him for $23M will be very difficult. I know minimum transfers are in place so that teams can’t be stripped of all their players. I feel that $23M is unrealistic for this player and I won’t be able to sell him – he is taking a valuable spot on my 30 player squad. Can something be done about this?

No matter who wins in the international cups, is there any plans for a “world club cup” competition or a decider between the 2 major cup winners for next season? I thought, if possible, it would be good to have this before the new domestic seasons start, therefore deciding which team is considered the best in the world for the current season. What is everyones opinion on this idea.
Tim(Man U – Fastticker)
I agree, it looks good. Also next to players name would be good.
Is it possible to consider adding players age to formation page. I would find it helpful when selecting my 2nd team(youth).
Anyone for friendlies – Man United in fast tick, Blackburn in slow tick.
I’m looking for 1 friendly per week please.
Tim
excellent rules! this brings responsability to the trading actions of all managers. I hope the “bankrupt” and “maximum number of players” comes in soon.
