That is one thing I was planning to change. I am going to create a small hierarchy of GMs, some with powers, some not. And unfortunately we really are very busy lately. I’ve been working in the match engine. This is going to take a while, as we are building some nice tools to help us testing the match engine.
I’ve performed a full upgrade on our server. That should improve everybody’s experience since we were using ubuntu 8.10 and now we are using 9.10 (with a lot of package upgrades as a consequence). It really is a big step.
But if you see any problems, please let us know at once. Cheers!
Now that I am back, this is probably going to be one of my first todo’s. One thing that you guys could consider is that we currently mostly have top countries. Soccersim had all kinds of countries. If we added some of the crap countries, the scenario would be dramatically affected.
Im already trying to decide what to do next (functionalities)… Any ideas?
Hey guys, I’m back!!!!! Finally! It was a huge pain in the ass, but I finally have an internet connection at my new Australia home. That means I will be resuming my rubysoccer work as soon as possible. I will download and setup my environment as soon as possible! But before I start coding, I have a lot of backtracking to do… It would help if you guys tell us what is currently on your mind (again!).
yep DaMago… I expect to have much more free time after the holidays that are approaching, and I will dedicate a good amount of time to rubysoccer. the only problem is that i am moving to australia, so the time zone will be a little bit different :)
That is a nice idea… I didn’t think we were going to have problems with the number of articles, considering that it is not difficult to write, that is why it was not done like that…
this is solved. i will see if i add a filter so live users cannot register with this email. hotmail / microsoft emails are not good.

We all should go back to a civilized tone here. And let me remember whoever may be negotiating players for very strange prices: you will be investigated, and may be punished or banned from the game. Having said that, I don’t see a problem in discussing this in the forum, if everyone involved understand the limits of this kind of conversation and that they should always report any problems to me or Gabriel.
We are trying to reach a less conservative approach here. We want you guys to really be the managers of your teams, and this is the kind of limitation that could spoil that. We have to find a balance between the limitations and the functionalities.
mostly because cheaters love to enter a team and fire a lot of players – making it difficult for us to control the situation if we dont have enought time.
We are improving our anti-cheat tools. Fair play is very important to us, and we are going to do our best to keep our controls enough to eliminate most of the cheaters.
It is a nice idea Onions, if you have the confidence that the community as a whole will help us… As you can see by our donations balance, wiki and bug tracker, that is not our case :D.

Can now select whatever color you want (red, green or blue) for the rubysoccer theme (manager settings screen). Press Releases will be available soon.

Yes, it does. Sometimes we have to re-calculate the wage, based on expectations. This code is not perfect yet, of course.

What we will do is migrate to a more expensive plan – that will guarantee us more hardware resources. But hey guys, we really need donations! We are starting to get too far behind of our expenses. Our purpose here was never to be rich, but it would be very nice if we at least were not losing money (and I am not considering the working time we are investing on rubysoccer)!
