Friendlies against NPCs would be alright, we just need to add some logic to make them accept only in out of season dates. National teams sound interesting too!
Not so sure about forcing friendlies in pairs to ensure the away matches are accepted by the invitee. One way to work around this is first sending just the invitation to play at your home and then, when that match is close enough and can’t be cancelled, you send the invitation for your away match. I know, a bit cumbersome…I’ll think about what you said :-D

I’ve tried to fix it in the past in a nice way, maybe I’ll do it in an ugly way and allow it to be ordered like we allow the Position field.
Notes is not good, I plan to leave the scout report available if you had it before buying. It will still get automatically deleted after 3 seasons (that’s what I think is the expiration today).
I haven’t managed national teams for a while so I don’t feel your pain. That said, I can definitely understand how things like average ratings and recent stats would help in the selection, but traits would be mostly useless for national squads, with few exceptions of course.

We are definitely missing out on lots of great retired player statistics! I’ve started doing something about months ago but abandoned the idea to start something else (don’t remember what exactly but I’m pretty sure it was economy related).
Dimitri is correct in terms of averages, but there is no guarantee on the final result, even from scout results. I’m keen to take a look at what can be done to the way players improve and the use of coach/scouts, but it’s definitely going to take some time.
Nice bug! Unfortunately I know for a fact that a player will never get to 101 in any skill.

You’re not the first to say that coaches give you less info than scouting…maybe coaches should actually give you a view of improvement for each skill? Or maybe total number of improvement points expected across all skills?
Scouting specific players used to be an option in the past and we can definitely bring it back following the same model of other scout reports: you request it and wait for completion. More scout search options should not be a problem either, they haven’t caught up with later additions such as player traits.
From what I can see the team can still handle it for now. We have other mechanisms in place to balance CPU team finance if need be. Thanks for reporting anyway.

Even though Joseppi’s comments make sense I still feel something may not be working as intended. If you have a specific match where this has happened recently please let me know so I can check the match replay and commentary.
Substitutions should happen at the requested time if the criteria is met. If the criteria is met after the requested time the sub will happen then. Example:
After the minute 55 if I’m ahead replace A by B.
If at minute 55 you are ahead, sub happens. If you were not ahead at 55 but then gets ahead on minute 80 then sub happens. Of course that is assuming you haven’t exceeded your 3 subs in any scenario.
I’m sure his previous team did not focus on what the player needed to improve. I know that CPU teams don’t, they only know how to improve them by playing matches, they do not loan them out if they need to play abroad or in a higher ranked country. Thats why I intend to change the way evolution works in the future to be more based on where the player is training and playing.

The formulas for the team of the season award and the star calculation is similar but not exactly the same. It is true that often team of the season players end up becoming gold star players, but as you can see this is not always the case.
Star calculation takes into account player match rating adjusted by a “natural” star factor each player has that can make it harder or easier for them to get a star. In order to earn points towards gold, silver and bronze stars the player has to achieve a minimum match rating. When deciding the gold players for example we only compare the points earned towards the gold star rating and ignore the others
World team of the season looks into the same ranges of rating for gold, silver and bronze star, but takes ALL of them into account with different weighs, making it possible for a silver player (like yours) to receive the award instead of a gold player in the same position.

Your scout searches now have an extra checkbox that can be set for when you want to restrict the results to only players that fit your current transfer budget. Of course that applies only to transfer listed players, if your search includes non-listed, free or loan listed players those will still be present regardless of the “within budget” checkbox.
Another minor improvement was regarding the penalty you get in your scout search progress when you have players in your hotlist without having a corresponding scout report for them. If you have your own players hotlisted without a scout report they won’t affect the progress of scout searches.
That report only tells you the “easiest” way available for a player to improve, there is no way to know if playing matches can already help or not.

Hopefully things are back to normal now. We have been working with our provider and today we’ve migrated our db to a new server which seems to have resolved the issue.
This one is interesting and shouldn’t be too hard…maybe we can limit the number of active reminders or allow a limited amount of reminders to be created per x turns.

This has been suggested to me but with some restrictions. For example, you should be able to do it only once per player and you would not get to pick the new trait, it would be randomly selected excluding the one the player currently has. What do you think?
