Thank you for that.
So what you are saying is, players need to:
- rate over 8.5 in games to build points towards the next class
- have hidden attributes
- be the best at their position for your end of season calculations
- not have many other stars in your nation

So is not so much that i can control.

Hi,
how do the players develop into stars? After watching my teams for many seasons, I still do not see a pattern.

Players who average over 8.00 for the season arrive the next year with no stars. Players who seemingly do not stand out as the best on the team, nor at their position, get stars. Some players lose all of theirs during their prime.

Also, how do players develop from Class A to Class S?

Thanks,

Negative traits take a negative hit on my happiness. I’ve posted about this before, but paying heaps of money for a great player, only to see them develop a terrible negative trait is devastating.

I do not understand why everyone needs an extra negative thing taken out of them. It is not necessary.

Develop positive traits only is great, such a boost.

Passing Style in Player Tactics – what is more effective?
I mean, defenders are great tacklers, but not as good passers. So, should they be given a SHORT Passing Style, to ensure great accuracy?
However, being so close to goal means that any failed passes could easily result in an opposition shot on goal. Therefore, should the be given a LONG Passing style to ensure the ball is moved far away?

I found it difficult to determine how successful changes in player tactics actually are. Looking at match reports and player statistics in-game is difficult to see any patterns for success when varying my approach. I consistently lose regardless of my approach.

I am sure I could be doing this better, but I am curious as to your thoughts on this.

Thanks,

This player is unlikely to reach his full potential before his 30s

that is one of the worst messages in the game.

Hi,
wondering if this is a new thing, but why are the players I want to buy, all signing a 1 year contract and preventing me from buying them?

I know I need to wait 72 turns, which I did. I tried to buy, denied, I shoulda offered more I guess. Then a few turns later, they screw me buy signing a 1 year contract, even thought they had a year or more left on their existing contract.

Is this a thing now?

Yes, Modena put their strikers in M +1 positions and win most of the time.

I beat them 3 to 2, and 1 of their goals was from a Liverpool player loaned to them.

Liverpool achieved its greatest victory in recent history by winning the Euro League.

Despite an unorthodox approach, the opposition dominated shots on goal, but Liverpool put in 3 goals to win in regulation.

Barreto’s hat-trick will long be remembered as the greatest club game in the modern era. Whilst we all celebrate now, we look forward to improving our league record next season.

We have won the Europa League. We are extremely pleased with the title! Well done

I only ask because I looked at Modena.

Their formation is what i described and they have Won nearly every game using their attackers in the midfield.

Hi,
I am just wondering how a player is penalised when they are used in the wrong position?

For example, in a 5-5-0 formation, where all the Attackers are in M/+1 rather than in A/-1 ?

Thanks,

Ouch

Would be way cool if you have some of the old statistics, and can use them for a hall fame :-)

I’ve had numerous youth players come along, promoted into the main squad, who became stars. Upon retirement they leave our lives.

I see their names, and I get a good feeling for the contributions they have made, the games they have won for me. I’ve been thinking about how to honour our retired stars, how us as managers can get to remember them.

Years ago it was mentioned that a Club Hall of Fame type feature was possible to get. However, I think there may be a nicer option: You already have created the Team of the of the Round and Season for the League.

Is it possible for you to create a Team of the Season for our team? We can look back at previous seasons and see the historical names, the Legends of our club!

Players are eligible for the Team of the Season if they meet the requirement of playing at least a minimum number of matches, say about 30 League\Cup matches.

This could also be implemented for the National teams. So we can Honour our National Heroes representing us in the National Cup games for the season.

I’d love to go back and see the team who played the best for me over the season. Did I play someone too few games? Did I transfer someone like an idiot? Did I correctly play the best player in as many League and Cup matches as possible?

The Team Info page states formations that have unavailable players. However, it is not accurate.

If a player has a red card in the Premier League, but is playing in Cup match soon in a different Formation, the Team Info page incorrectly states that the Cup formation has unavailable players.

The red card in the Premier League appears to be triggering the warning message for the Cup formation.

Is it possible to scout for players who play multiple positions?

Yes Dimitri, of course.

However, if you just paid 30 million for a player and he develops awful traits, then you are going to feel ripped off.

Hello,

in the formation screen, when I change players, all of the settings are not retained. For example, the “Team has the ball” in Player Positioning screen resets itself back to Play Position.

Should it retain the setting that I had given the player in that position previously? The other settings on that screen, and in Player Tactics, seem to be retained.

Ta.

I just want to hug my goalkeeper.
The fact that he let through 51 goals shows just how much work he had to do, how bad our defence was, and how skilled he is in order to be the keeper for the Squad of the Season.
Thankyou from the entire Liverpool family.

Hi,

just wondering how often players increase in class? Is kinda hard to tell if any of mine have. Also, is there restrictions on how many players a team can have at each class (cant remember if that limitation is still there).

Thanks

Definitely need to take injuries into account though.

That’s fantastic! One of my best defenders is asthmatic. Been 20 ticks and his stamina is still only 60.

I had to play him in 1 match in that time, and he played badly, so I just want him to recover. And maybe train for marathons, cause he is so out of shape.

Thank you. I dont know, but i assume training improves players irl, but that practise matches would improve too.
Though i dont want to go back to organising friendlies for every spare tick – was so annoying.
Am not sure on the answer.
Spevialist coaches can be employed for players under age 24? The coaches wages based on % of club income so its fsir to little clubs?

Ahh yes, i had forgotten about the old days where it was a struggle to find friendlies gor every tick, and then deal with player injuries.

Now the M$%^#$&@(!g C^*t has rejected my request for a friendly to him.

In the real world I am sure there are lawyers involved, contracts signed up, friendlies agreed to beforehand. Seems like the game mechanic could be tweaked.

so, the benefit we get from friendlies is?
- some money if it is a home match
- practise some formations and tactics

Can you change the friendly request system so that when an invitation is sent, it generates a home and away match please.

I’m sick of these managers that time their cancellation of my home friendly.

Hi,

For players to improve, in the previous post linked below, you clarified that a player must play 35 minutes.

http://rubysoccer.com/forums/1/topics/3019#posts-18791

However, in this post, you said a player will improve if he is subbed in at 65 minutes or before. That is only 25 minutes in a 90 minute game.

Thanks,

That is cool mate!

My guy’s skills have started decreasing. Don’t think he can increase skills??

I played him in over 10 games, so it seems like a lost cause. I should have played other younger players instead.

I like that idea, very good.

I remember though, that a player must play 35 minutes to receive all the benefits from playing the game. Not sure I’ve been up 2 goals at the 75 minute mark in many games.
