My suggestion would be to gradually decrease the player’s improvement time. Something like having a stat boost over the first 5-6 matches, then make him play like 5-10 matches to gain another stat, and on a third phase gain stats after each 15 match or so… but only on the ones that are born to be stars.
Sorry to raise this topic again if it is still too soon…
But anyway, around half a season now, around 20 matches played in most divisions.
I myself got a little worried as I took a look at my young (17y.) keeper, C.Tappin, that has played almost every match for me without getting much improvement.
I think he has played 16 league matches and 3 cup matches and has not gained any points to his keeping skill. Maybe a couple of points as a whole but dribble and shooting aren´t exactly what I was hoping for.
I am “lucky” now that I don´t have a better number one keeper so he has been able to play a lot. But unluckily, without results. If I had a better keeper, no 77-keeper would play half of the season, especially when no improvement.
And making players improve gets even more difficult when you get a little better team that can not afford losing many points and if friendlies don´t count as much as “real” matches.
I know I am one of the players most willing to keep the game challenging but even I think this is too tough now. Maybe adjusting it a little, maybe meeting us halfway? (compared to what it was)
Or is the player just total sh*t and lacks talent? Doesn´t have any potential left on his keeping skill? :D
Hope you find a nice solution with making it a little better but still keeping it challenging.
Cheers!
How about having links that send us directly into the related subject. For instance, why not have a link in match result mail that sends us directly into the report of that game. This is particularly useful when you’re checking on real e-mail.
3 for now.
If you consider that Ricardo (Académica) is in a big development team from the same company, you have to consider his disadvantage, as he cannot sell players to half of the portuguese teams :) even among ourselves we discuss the resell practice policy, some follow as you can see in the portuguese market and others don’t…
I believe a topic about player market regulation with time to players express themselves would be very participative, an ingame message to participate with ideas can only benefit the game. I have heard and have many. And all should remember that this situation is temporary, in the end of the season a huge amount of players will be available to all top players teams, and the remain players don’t spend the time necessary to complaint with Académicas…

I havent seen it. Thanks.
those of you who want to not see the results (see the ? wildcards instead) on the welcome screen will now have to go to your manager settings screen. i´ve changed the default because of the questions here.
It is configurable, you can change that on your settings.
guys, you have put in the team home page the latest fixtures, i would like to know if its normal to dont see the results, only “?”.
like this : derby county ? vs ? newcastle united
when the game already occured.
cheers
I agree with you Toni, that would be a good intermediate solution for now. Looks like the poll is balanced enough for us to adopt this third option. Let’s wait until the end of the day, I may do something tonight or tomorrow night.
Cheers.
Yeah, for now you’re able to sell a player right after buying him, soon we’ll require at least half season (72 turns) before being able to sell a player you’ve just hired. About the other “cheaters” who fire or sell all team players, we’ll also force all teams to have a minimum number of players per position, this will be accomplished by forbidding the manager to sell players, automatically renewing contracts and automatically hiring youths if the team had the minimum players for a position and some player in that position retired.
Concerning the poll… I didn´t vote yet…
I think the best way to adjust this would be to reduce the stamina lost per game by one point.
Recovering 2 extra points (compared to what we´ve used to) per week makes it a bit too easy. Danilo was right about losing a bit of the challenge. But I do agree it was a bit difficult to keep the stamina up when you recovered the same amount per that you lost per game(when also playing cup matches). I managed to do that quite well in Beta1, but this time didn´t pay 100% attention in the beginning and was in a little trouble.
So one point less lost per game and recovery rate back to where it was.
Cheers.
You can configure that in the settings screen. The default is not show the most recent result and give you a link to the report only. Some users requested that to keep the suspense and also in the future you’ll be able to see the match replay and it would be nice being able to watch it without knowing the result :)
Hello,
I’m the manager who bought the player. I offered him the best salary and then I sold him… if the game permits this action, why should I be a “cheater” or have a special attention by the developers of the game? There are clearly cheaters in Rubysoccer (players who enter teams to fire or sell the players) and I don’t see any measure against them.
Best Regards
Ricardo Gamboa
In the starting page of my team, my last result is always a ? x ?
