poor world cup indeed
England, France, Italy, how bad can one get.
Maradona just ain’t a coach!
The Dutch playing kick-boxing…who would have thought that.
And Spain, just dragging along…but congratulations to them!!!
Ghana getting thrown out by Uruguay in that manner was the most heartbreaking moment of the tournament!!!
Season 40 Review
Liverpool FC can be considered the surprise of season 40 in EPL after concluding the season at the second place, above the former Champions of Blackpool. If it wasn’t for another great surprise, Charlton, who won the title with an excellent performance throughout the season, the Reds could have been lifting their first trophy in decades by now. But it takes nothing away of their great achievement which brings them to participate in the most coveted competition in Europe, the Champions League, only a year after they got promoted to top flight.
Season 41 Preview
It took only one season for the mighty reds to establish themselves as one of the top teams in England. Liverpool has a consolidated team all over the pitch, with their goalie being the star of the team. In addition, most starting elements are still young and have space for improvement, which should strengthen the team further. However, the manager might considering to splash some money on the market, also in view of the CL participation where the reds hope to qualify for the group stage, despite a very tough qualification match up with Hannover 96. What the reds could do is get at least one experienced prolific striker to add to their trident, and money allowing it, an experienced mid.
At home, Liverpool could be considered a solid contender for the title and have a good run at the domestic cup. One thing that could work against the young team is that they can’t enjoy the element of surprise anymore, however, on the other hand, the Reds can usufruct from their previous season experience in EPL to improve some of their gameplay.
All in all, this should be a highly competitive season where the fight for the title could go to the wire with the usual suspects Blackpool, Charlton, and now Livepoorl, fighting it amongst them.
First Half of the Season completed as Liverpool enjoys dream season
After the first round of 19 matches, the newly promoted Liverpool are enjoying a great season being ranked third in Premiership, only a point behind the second place Blackpool. At the start of the season the Red’s Board had set what seemed an ambitious objective to reach qualification in the Europa League. Not only has Liverpool performed to the objective, by being 11 pts above the 7th place Colchester, they have also performed beyond the most optimistic expectation by being well into contention for a CL spot. One reason behind their success is the hiring of excellent veteran Adolfo Berrugoso, aged 31, for a total sum of 28 million from Sporting de Gijon. The experienced keeper has allowed only 5 goals in the last 11 matches, helping the Red defence to rank second, with 2 more GA than first place Charlton. Many questioned the extravagant splashing of money over a 31 yo goalie who could be past his prime, but so far, the player’s performances have proved the whole deal right.
That said, Berrugoso is only half the story of the RED success. The cinderella team enjoys a young core of players who keep improving every game, thus making the team a tougher opponent to face as the season progresses
Can Liverpool actually win the Championship???
Charlton leads the PL by 10 points on the second place Blackpool, and 11 pts on third place Liverpool, which perhaps marks them as the biggest surprise so far. While the season is only half way, chance are Charlton will drop a few pts with the European Cups just around the corner. In addition they face both its followers away, and generally its away schedule looks much tougher. Blackpool has both quality and depth to mount a serious chase to challenge for the title. On the other hand, being 11 pts adrift, could prove too much for Liverpool. However, the reds enjoy the advantage of not having to play in other competitions, and their young core will keep improving as the season goes on. What liverpool lacks is experience in such situations. And with their season already successful beyond expectations, the Reds might just be happy to attain their CL spot,
“Challenging for the title is not smth we are considering right now. We want to paly CL next season, so far we have reach that objective and we will try our best to keep our current position. We’ll take it one game at a time. At the end of the season we’ll make our assesment, but as far as I am concerned atm, Liverpool are already champions given their performances this season,” the manager said for the press.
Actually I was all for Switzerland to make it happen :)
Even enjoyed North Korea giving Brazil some hard time lol
Pool 2-2 Blackburn
3-4-3 formation 5-2-3
50% possession 50%
31 shots 13
24 shots on target 11
89% accurrate passes 88%
53% effective tackles 32%
10 corners 2
2 offsides 6
5 fouls 6
Barnsley 2-1 Pool
4-3-3 formation 3-4-3
46% possession 54%
14 shots 28
14 shots on target 25
86% accurrate passes 92%
47% effective tackles 51%
5 corners 6
5 offsides 6
1 fouls
Then again Spain had 3 times the shots of Switzerland and got screwed lol
I think the academy should remain national.
What could help IMO, is that every time you have to pick a new youth, your scouts can present you with a pool of 4-5 choices, which should all reflect the country ranking. Example: The scout present you with 5 youths of base 67 (which should reflect the country ranking). So, they all have the same base, however, you still get to choose 2 things:
a) player’s position
b) his skill spread out on each ability (Out of the same base, you might want to pick a polivalent, or high main primary, or high secondaries player, and so on depending on what;s important to you)
Point B is important if you are to base your team on your academy and you can pretty much build it with certain type of players that best fit your game philosophy.
Back to Wonderland
The Mighty Reds have finally returned to the top flight of Premiership after a four year sabbathical! It has been a long and difficult road where the once legendary team has been recreated almost from scratch.
“Yes it has been tough and tiresome, but we are finally here, and we are in great shape. The most important thing that this team has regained is its identity. Four years ago we started with an history lesson of what LFC is and how important it is to be part of this great club. There’s no player todays who doesn’t feel that jersey he’s wearing as part of his own skin. Now we are done with history lessons. It’s time we write our own chapter and add that to the Liverpool Bible. Think of this team as the new civilization after the Flooding,” said the manager.
Indeed, the team has yet to play a game in this season, and yet, the board has set ambitions of the old times. The board goal is for the team to rich an Europa League spot. The league is not hard, almost all teams can be described as being equals and the goal is far from impossible, but it remains to be seen how far this team can improve along the season. Despite the fact that the Reds cruised last year through Division 1 defenses, the Premiership is going to be a whole new story. Can the Reds make it to top 6. Stay tuned to get the answer.

Probably a distant relative of Matterazzi :D
yeah cristiano, if anything’s wrong with that picture is that both players were overpriced :D
Yes, but the loaner cannot decided who the loanee is a going to be, which diminishes the chances of cheating greatly. In addition, the “monetary reward” to a loanee for improving your player should proportional to the value increase, which again should keep things in check.
For starting managers, this could be a good way to get some cash.
I think that to develop a team from your own academy only would only work in the top 4-5 countries. In countries such as Turkey you would probably get one superstar and a few decent players in the whole country. Hence it’s not worthy.
On the other hand, from the scouting I have done, in France alone you have some 30 players who have come out in the last 3-4 seasons who could easily form two teams to play in the CL final :)
That’s why I have been hiring players heavily from France. The current squad has 11 French players, 7 Brazilians, 6 Portuguese, and 5 Spanish
That said, the youth development is perhaps my favorite feature of the game. It’s simple, but realistic. It always surprises me how only a handful of managers really make use of it.
Season 36 Review
As promised at the start of his assignment, manager Dhimitri has completely changed the face of Liverpool. Old players that were found at the team are long gone and 28 new promising players are currently wearing the glorious red jersey. Overall, 37 players were bought and 21 were sold or have left the team.
“When you start things from ground zero as we did here, then it’s safe to say even the janitor had a chance to make the team,” the manager joked.
Liverpool started the season with a first team player average of just 515 pts and had not table goals, other than to use the matches to groom its youthful roster. However, new additions along the season and some loaned players helped the team to achieve a respectable mid table position beyond all expectations.
“I can say that we played some entertaining football out there and we did surprise some people. Of course, we did also have some disastrous days, but what matters is that we brought people back on the stands. This is important, because it shows that the fans believe in us, in our project, and in our players,” a smiling Dhimitri said.
Indeed, the Reds have made great strides in improving their team in just a season. At the end of the season the first team players averaged 565 pts, a whooping 50 pts increase from the beginning. Fortunato “Lucky” Alves is a bargain deal signed from Avai who might just become a future legend at Anfield. Despite turning 25 this year, the manager has high hopes for the lad.
“We can say that Alves is currently the best striker and player at our team, and he would fare quite well at the Premiership level. But i think he’s not done improving, hence we expect more from him. "
Pinonero, is another interesting prospect that joined Liverpool at the end of season 36. Like Alves, he seems a bit old to be called a prospect at 26 yo, however, the mangers thinks he might just be the late boomer to surprise people.
“I coached him at Valenciennes for fours seasons when he was still a young lad, just like the ones we have here. Then he moved to Betis where in four years he only played a handful of games which stagnated his growth. That’s why I think Pinonero still has some quality to prove in his career and Anfield will be the best place for him.”
There are other bright prospects in this young team, but it would be too harsh from us to put too many expectations on their shoulders right now. What matters is that the players and their manager have been quite committed to their jersey and we can only hope that last season’s success and growth is a sign of what the future holds for Liverpool.
Season 37 Preview
Not much will change for Liverpool in terms of goals for this season. Despite the fact that the board has set a middle of the table season end goal, which seems achievable with the current team, the main objective remains the improvement of the team. What we can be sure is that fresh faces will join the squad and others will leave.
“Another long season awaits us. And it won’t be pretty. But at the end we only have to gain and nothing to lose. All that matters is to keep our focus ahead and everything will be fine!!! I’m happy of what we achieved so far, and I expect nothing less in the year ahead of us” Dhimitri conluded.
Coach Level: Go to Management => Stadium => change the coach level according to wish. There are mo coaches per se. Just the coach level, which decides how fast your players grow.
Substitutions: Go to formation => Formation Strategies and there you can set the substitutions
The only way this works is that every time you have to pick a youth, you are always presented with a new fresh set of 4 choices.
actually, if notice around Europe, CPU teams are having a field day. Spezia is second in Italy, and Lyon was 3d before getting a new manager in France. Still in France, there is a nice cue of CPUs right after the last Europa spot.
It’s the Matrix reloaded all over :D
i agree :)
Ah, no worries Charles mate. I’m just on the other side of the channel ;-)
Here we are again
Brest vs. Valladolid
Sly vs. Rui
Last time these two fellas met, Rui “stole” the trophy in penalty kicks after an under par performance during regular and extra time. Sly was left wanting with a bitter taste in his mouth. Will he get his “revenge” and, most importantly, the long sought after achievement he actually deserves??? :)
Or will Rui just get away with a bis?
PS: Congratulations to Patrick for an amazing late run in the League which sought Monaco winning the Championship crown in dramatic fashion. The shocking fall out of form from Marsielle and the earthquake in Valencieness bench cannot got without notice, but the achievement of Patrick is nevertheless astounding. Good job mate :)
@Davison
I really doubt that:

2:30-3:40 sends chills down your spine :)
In what might be considered the most absurd move in history of RS, manager Dhimitri left Valenciennes, one of the most promising clubs in RS to join Liverpool FC, a club admist one of its darkest hours as it is about to be relegated again to Division 2 of English football.
“Leaving Valenciennes was hard. We were fighting for the title and the team was just coming on its own this season. I am proud of what I have achieve with them. But the call of Liverpool was even harder to avoid. I have been a fan of this club since I was a toddler and now I have a chance to set things right for this great club,” the new manager said.
“When I first came here, I thought I had walked into a resting house for old people. I was shocked. Average age was above 32, the club was losing hips of money and was about to go bankrupt. And there’s no hope whatsoever!”
“We might as well consider the present as the Year Zero! Everything has to start from scratch. My first objective is to get Liverpool out of misery and into a place of hope. And that shows how much work is needed here. We should forget about results and trophies. This is a moment to set our foundations for the future. It is the start of a new philosophy, the start of a new tradition. Before playing football, the club needs an identity and that’s what we have to build”
“It will take time, and lots of sweating, and lots of patience. But we will get there. Where’s there? To the very top of this beautiful game. In time, the name of Liverpool will echo all around the globe!!!” Dhimitri concluded.
You’ll Never Walk Alone
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Tho’ your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk alone
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Tho’ your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk alone
You show off you :D
Excellent job mate :)
I don’t know what the order is in MT for new countries but I would love it if Scotland is added next season :)
That would be great, even though I am not giving up drinking :)
Anyways, the team deserves a good manager and so someone with skills should manage it.
…Or you will lose your team
As angry as I am with myself, there is one “positive” thing out of this: LIVERPOOL!!!
Sayonara my beloved France :(
well, I think we are all satisfied with the fact the whole team out there can and is scoring goal.
However, the way this is happening is just wrong IMO.
A catastrophe of a shooting midfielder always seems able to score once he gets that Maradona like slalom all the way from the back and that one shot at goal. Meanwhile, those 3-4 players who are tactically selected to make 90+ percent of the shots, can hardly manage to put one past the goalie, despite a combined 30+ shots.
Basically, M&Ds out there have it much easier to score (as a percentage of shots made) than the professional scorers out there.
I also think that this is perhaps the reason behind some of the freak results out there where a weak team, outplayed by 20-30 shots, can still manage to tie or win a game because of the random goal from some unsuspected midfielder or defender :)
What’s going on with game engine lately??? It seems scoring has been reduced considerably as of late.
However, useless goalies continue to gain MOTM, and 60 pt shooters still wreck havoc with their single shot per game :).
Rumor has it that some of the game superstrikers, haunted by their inability to hit the goal, have lost their way between their wives’ legs. ;)
lol, I was about to point out the same thing. hehehe
Sur-Mer has had an easy 7 games so far with the exception of Marseille, wich they tied. I think they will start losing a lot of points starting the game after next.
However, it seems to me they will still manage to grab a place, at least in the Europa qualifying spots. That would definitely be a shame :(
1. How about increasing stamina of all players by 50 points at season start. Basically all players will start the season with stamina between 53 and 100 depending on how they end the season before. It’s like assuming that players have had a real season break of 8 weeks with no friendly or official matches played.
This will be helpful in the future when more official matches will be added up when CWC takes place.
2. I believe that “Individual Tactics” in the formation page should be “Positional Tactics”. The orders should apply to the position, not the player. If I order my attacker in AC 0 to move forward, that order should also apply to the player substituting him at the same position during the match, or in the next match if I haven’t changed tactic. As it is, the order applies to the player directly, which means that every time I change players in the same formation, I have to repeat my orders again.
