Still improving, close to his prime…not have a set price but no low ball offers please…best offers invited.
I myself fired/sold everyone in my club within first couple of seasons after i took my new job, started mass hiring new talent from free market, never made any transactions last three seasons and i currently have 30 devoloping players some promising some busts, anyway i ll stick with what i have now and after couple of seasons we ll see who will stay and who will be booted.
With some patience its not hard to build a decent team from zero…. good luck
I wonder what all the gamemasters are doing…dont they have any tools to work with?
WB Danilo, not easy to make a move to a new country, new continent, glad to hear you are settling down…last time i moved i had my connection set up before getting a mattress :p ….good luck with everything!
Gabriel I think the motivation to create a new competition should be based on more players playing each other. Your idea doesnt adress this problem .
I have played this game now for some time now but never played against most of the users here. Such a waste dont you think?
I thought about that too Filipe you are right, but also this gives them some extra turns with friendlies to develop their youth and becoming better. Anyway seems like there is no solution to make everyone happy :/
If the turn number per season can be increased then all competitions can be played maybe. For example if you increase the number of turns from 3 to 4 for each week the season will contain 192 turns,48 extra turns.
I think some realism can be sacrificed in favor of game play. Would you rather face cpu teams or other fellow players?
I think saying “there is no progress in the game” is not fair. Updates like age and stamina effecting players performance are excellent for example . How about press box and auto friendly scheduling etc. I am optimistic that game will improve drastically after some fixes, especially with CWC. We just have to be a little more patient as free users.
I agree that economy needs a fix, i think the coaching department is too expensive to maintain and its a must because only way to develop players needs decent coaching level. You have to somehow keep selling players to balance your economy.
I dont agree however that players should develop too fast. That would make the game less challenging.
Players develop very slowly with only friendlies but play them in official games as well and they develop pretty good rate. Off course doing that and staying competitive is not easy and you have to make a choice.
Ideal conditions a player can reach near his potential around 22 which is not that bad. I would say with 9 coaching roughly you need 500 friendlies and 50 official games. You can do that in 5-6 seasons.
I just focus on just giving them as many games as i can, I dont accept them to develop every tick that wil make you disappointed.
Well in MT south america there are not many active managers in countries other than Brazil which makes their job easier but believe me Argentina didnt move up the rankings in one day. Yes , crap teams in Paraguay and Uruguay makes the job easier but eventually you have to face ranked 1 Brazilian teams in later stages and you cant get that enough points to move up without beating them. If you look at it that way maybe you will see its not walk in the park.
Anyway i think adding more countries makes this situation worse because now you have more chances facing poor teams in qualifying.
In Fasticker after countries like Russia, Greece and Turkey added didnt it make easier for top dogs to qualify in CL and EL? I dont see any complain there.
And i am all in for World Clubs Cup.
I think starting value is still good indication but it comes down to players hidden potential. Cases like this are very rare. Now what are the chances a player reaching both 100 in tackle and passing with starting value 118k : http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/player_info/87904
I did also choices that made me regret later.
Bottom line is you cant keep them all and you did and will fire someone with great potential .
i really like this aspect of the game, you can only make educated guesses but you can never be sure.
Anyone else noticed this guy “Matthew Brimming” of Tigre: http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/player_info/83342
Starting value just 150k just wow!
95 shooter for sale..all decent offers would be considered!

I just checked your keeper and i think he is below average for top league. Maybe is a big part your team loosing points?
Imagine he would be 88 keeping and 81 speed in away games which is basically 85.2 keeping.
For one on one situations i think its (0.6*keeping + 0.4*speed) * dribble/100
From Wiki
Keeping: responsible for 60% of goalkeeper defense power; not used by other players
Speed: responsible for 40% of goalkeeper defense power on defending shots, other players use it to run
Dribble : …used by keepers to limit their defensive power if your formation does not have any defender on mentalities -1 or 0
Control:….for goalkeepers it’s used to decide if he catches, deflects or punch teh ball to outside the field in a good defense
Header: ..also responsible for 40% of goalkeeper defense power on defending headers
hmm Troyes manager must be doing something right.
I see some problems If a ratio like that is applied . For example would you sell a promising young player worth 1M for 3M? You pay 200k-300k for coaching every 3 turns to develop the player and you are gonna let him go for just 3m? That would be terrible return on investment. You would rather keep him and that means less transfer activity=boring.
Let the market mature, eventually the prices would go down. If someone really wants to sell a player he eventually has to reduce the price at some point anyway when there is no demand.
Its the long term managers of those “Super clubs” that makes them big. The ticket prices are same in every country everybody starts with small stadium and low level coaching. So if they have money that means they earned it.
However there is an important fact that before player evolution was much faster with no squad limit and many big clubs now made huge banks from player sales in the past.
Now you can not just develop a player in couple of seasons and sell him for big bucks.
Still its seems like the best option to sign young players, develop them later to sell.
Or do what Blackpool does that is to sign every half decent guy on the free market with a huge wage to sell someone with no clue after 72 turns.
After they receive another yellow it will become red and they will be suspended for the next official game, only after that it will be cleared.

Prices are negotiable, all decent offers would be considered.
I need a defender and trade offers are welcomed also.
No friendly games? Are you sure? They probably played alot of games last season and they already had poor stamina coming on to the new season so this doesnt sound like a bug to me.
The Champions League title holders qualifies but not Europa League’s.
The rules for qualification can be found here:

Thanks alot, hopefully the challenge will bring more fun than pain :p
Saludo
Next tick if i get my job application accepted. Just wanted to give early heads up. My no means i am leaving a mess behind, Solid squad with lots of young prospects, in fact just recently singed two promising frenchman. Finance is so so but lots of assets you can cash in. Team is in 2nd place in local competition and easy draw in upcoming libertadores campaign.
Cheers
I wish we had more users/managers. Many leagues already full of AI teams. Just look at Italy supposed to be strong league for example. When we have enough users then new countries can be added in the future IMO.
So far we officially know that speed is almost as important as keeping for keepers, the rest is just speculation. Off course its not really good to reveal too much that can kill the fun but we have no idea how sophisticated game logic is.
I just hope just adding the skill total of a player doesn’t determine how well he performs but the role you assign depending on players strengths.
For example tackling being most important skill after passing when you put your mid in M -1 zone. Passing being important when your defender is on D +1 zone etc.
As for your example, i would take player A since he is perfect shooter and not really lacking too much in other skills.
I kind of agree the midfielders and defenders scoring is not a bad thing but it will make more sense if only players with high shooting or heading scores regularly. Same goes with other statistics. Its common to see defenders with poor passing having high passing success or midfielders with poor tackling having high tackling success. The problem i think is the supporting skills have too much weigh determining players performance in these areas .
We should all live with some unlucky results but luck almost always favors the weaker sides. You would like to get lucky also when your team is dominating making most of your chances and winning by a large margin. Right now this rarely happens and almost all games are tight.
Hello,
We are handfull of days away from 2010 and i think this game has very promising future. . The developers are really nice guys with full time jobs, maybe doing this for just a hobby or a side project that can bring some income in the future i dont know. My bet is they are just some IT guys with a passion of soccer :)
The fact is its costly and donations are not enough. I was wondering how many of us is ready to pay monthly fee for a game like this.I for one believe donations is not a solution and i am ready to pay for this game after couple of improvements.
