lol… i am not sure, how good it is going to be, i am just in the process of rebuilding… firing some overaged players who have been given long term contracts
Very sweet! Keep me posted on it!
We have some great plans for the newspaper! All you mentioned will be included (interviews, match results, transfers, rumors, etc). Some friends already volunteered to write the texts for the news, we can get it started ;)
Cheers!
I know I read it somewhere before, but I would like to start the discussion again. At the moment it only shows managers in danger. Isn’t it possible for you just do what managersim did. Make the newspaper far greater. Let the newspaper ask you for interviews with a set of questions you can answer that will then be posted in the paper. Also, if a manager is bidding on a player, maybe this could be rumoured in the newspaper? Or if a transfer was finalised, announce it in the paper that team X has got player Y for the amount of etc. And last but not least, maybe show some results like, how did a team do in the UEFA or CL games.
Basicully, create it like it was in managersim, since that was also fun to look at and you could now and then read the thoughts of another manager if he gave an interview. It also was an easy way to create extra competition when it comes to bidding on a player. You might mis out on one, but thanks to the paper you won’t :)
Hey Guys,
Please click on “digg it” on this link . This will help us increase our community!
cheers!
Cool! Good choice! :)
I’m ok with reset as long as it resolves problems. At this point, i’m not sure if it’ll be enough to reset the game to overcome problems we have.
A lot of words said, i agree with most of them. Of course there’ll be super rich teams, superstar players, super big stadiums and like. We have them in real life too. A simulation game is successful only if it provides a realistic simulation so what should be done is decreasing ’super’s. I’m sure all admins are aware of that.
If the problem is that we already have too many young superstar players, i have a suggestion: Add +8 to their ages (or +5 or +10, up to you). Find out players with value of more than 10m and younger than 20 years old and increase their ages. Owners of those players will not be happy of course but other players are not happy too. It can be explained like: “previous player development was too unrealistic, you took advantage of it and that’s ok. we’re not resetting whole dimension or decreasing your player skills but we have to do something to create the balance. sorry for inconvenience” Easy as that. I belive that can solve problem which makes admins think to reset the dimensions: Too many super young players and it’ll take too long to sweep them out.
Let’s keep them unbreakable for now to avoid problems and work on the improvements already suggested (minimum number of official matches, level of coaching, etc).
I agree with Dirk, if they are unbreakable there should be that options for loaning team couch department and games to play (in this particular I like Gabriel’s idea to make it depends on the wage percentage).
This way both loaning and loaner have contract guaranties and I believe it would stimulate the loans market.
Regards
I totally agree. The loan agreement should be improved if we choose the “unbreakable” path.
If you make them unbreakable, I think, you also need to add an option that we can choose a minimum coaching level for the loaning team. The goal of loaning is to make these players better but if a team with coaching level 3 loans him this developpement won’t be that fast as with a coaching level 9.
Another suggestion is a minimum number of matches he has to play. The kind of match doesn’t matter.
So I support unbreakable loans as long as we can specifie the loancontract more.
That is a delicate subject. Some think contracts should be easy to break, some think that there should be a cost to break them and some think that they should be unbreakable. We were thinking about changing the system to make them unbreakable, which is a conservative choice – but it makes it easier for everybody to avoid problems.
Good luck !
I have loaned out 2 of my players, but….. instead of not participating they play every friendly match.
They now have a small amount of stamina, I don’t seem to get out of the contract (which is exactly a 0%-wage).
Of course I can talk to their manager, but shouldn’t there be a way to get them back ?
sly, i am in france only… i am the manager of bordeaux
Some players ended up with multiple lines for their friendly statistics. The bug has been fixed but the extra lines will remain for this season.
Dude, come join france :) we could use managers over there!
working fine for me now!
According to a couple dns health tools, everything is ok… But I will keep an eye. http://www.dnsqueries.com/en/domain_check.php
Strange. It is working for me. What about www.rubysoccer.com ?
DNS problem? Login page wouldn’t load with “rubysoccer.com”… but 64.22.113.16 worked…
- Job Search Centers: This game area will help you in finding a job. It is also very useful for new players, as it is the first screen they will see.
- Reorganized Menus: The menu was reorganized in a more logical way. Icons are grouped in areas related to the manager, team and miscellaneous.
@Parag: Nice suggestions. The taxes one is something that has been discussed behind the scenes for a while, we’ll probably try that in the future. I had thought about something similar to the degradation cost you mentioned, my idea was that larger stadiums and departments had a chance to degrade every season (lose some seats, go down one level). Having staff people rather than departments was our first idea, but we never thought about having both. How would that work? Sponsor signing is very interesting but as you can imagine, hard to implement. In the current system there is no way to sign sponsors, the value is based on your team’s performance. We may consider sponsor signing in the future, I like the idea.
Looks like we’re not going for a reset, at least not for now. It was good to read so many different opinions and ideas to improve the game. Thank you all!
Hi everybody.
Well for me is a surprise!!!
I might be selfish. But i managed GETAFE from the end of season 8, where i was fighting to stay on 1st division. I had a small stadium and a pretty bad squad. Now my team just started to look good in the LIGA and a hope maybe in CHAMPS.
I sold my best players. Now i try to keep them and to buy the best on the market. I build a good stadium and i think a have good money.
Now a reset will be so hard to take…… although i understand everybody’s point.
I like the game, and i think i will be around. I just wish whatever changes will be made, they have to be fair for everybody.
salud amigos, damago.
I have some very experieced players available on low cost… anyone willing to buy can contact me… we can do some negotiations …
price is not a barrier for good customer…
thanks thorpedo and gabriel… i have now quite gone well, after my application was processed :)
and gabriel, i have replied in your "poll for resetting " thread
hey gabriel,
rather than resetting, how about changing the rules every once or two seasons… so that it creates a level field.
One idea may be that we could have a budget cap ( not necessarily a restriction, but then if you have more than certain amount of budget or funds then, you will have to pay more taxes), or may be if a club wins some cup regularly then then have some tough ties for those clubs in the cup competitions.
I know its difficult implementing than saying, but then, we can always thing about them.
Some of my ideas are…
And once again, this is just a suggestion, may be some alternative way of thinking…
*
As i suggested initially we could have different parameters to those things each season and change those parameters at every season change… so, that there could be more randomness.
We could do the same with current system also. Like may be change the system parameters for sponsors and taxes and players every season…*
If you want some experienced players, then do contact me… i have listed some… do quote your price, if you want them… willing to negotiate…
Now that’s interesting. We already have some informal agreements where I work and it would be great to have such affiliated teams rule. I’ll add this to our list.
Cheers!
