Maybe just make a formula for it ? Like everyone has 60% chances to shoot on goal, depending on the shooting and control it can reach 90%. And every gk has a 20% chance to make a save and depending on keeping, speed and control it can increase up to 35%. The numbers are just a guess but I would like to see scores like 5:3 or 5:4 or 4:1, now it can be 2:0 and I doubt it is real to score 0 from 5 penalties

Partial tackles enhancement
When your player tackled an opponent he would either take the ball or fail, now there is a third option, a partial successful tackle. If a partial tackle happens your player won’t take control over the ball, he will kick it away from the opponent instead. In that case, he, the opponent or both may lose some time to recover from the tackle.
Please provide any feedback you have in the Improvements Discussion topic so we can adjust this new enhancement if needed.
p.s.: a partial tackle still counts as a successful tackle
Well, as Alban said, there is no need to select the players as the best ones will shoot, in order. I agree you should be able to see who scored and who missed the penalty kicks, we had that in the past but it got bugged somehow :(
@Alban: Are you suggesting we make penalty shootouts more random? Or at least less dependent on shooting skill itself? We could make the player use shooting and control and speed and even aggressiveness! :D

the better your players main stat + sec stats are, the better the player is and will play.

he can’t sell, because only a few teams in the game have that kind of cash and they already have great strikers :)

My question was really about whether I should worry more about the average rating or the skill stats…although I didn’t make it very clear ;)
it was somewhere that just players with best shooting. Now imagine that usually we have 2 strikers and then all other players have 85 or even less shooting.
I think the chance to score from a penalty should be increased. Or clubs with midfielders or defenders with high shooting will have too much advantage. I mean, in real life ANY player can score and ANY player can miss a penalty =)

why isnt José Andrade on my list, hmm … sure he’s top 3.
i remember Boucquet when he was young, 10-15 seasons ago, one of the first 90+ strikers in the game. tried to buy him backthan, missed.
We need to be able to select the penalty kickers for penalties after 120 min ourself for instance. And I want to see which players score or miss a penaltykick like in the normal 90 min match engine.
These ratings are still somewhat unrealistic in a few matches, but they’ve been recently improved. I guess it requires a deeper analysis of the match to give better numbers. We’ll have to work on it again in the future.
I prefer Filipe’s list, at least there José Andrade figures in second ;)
Why did I sell Felipe Amaral? Imagine what an attack I’d have if I stil had him :(
Which penalty options?
Hi All
Having been a manager for almost a whole season now, I was wondering how important the average marks out of ten are.
I have seen games where my players all have high ratings, but we are comfortably beaten and the opposite (some low ratings, but creating lots of chances and winning).
I’ve been trying to work this out for myself, but I’m no nearer to doing so.
Lately I have been putting more importance to average rating than player skills, but I’m not sure that this is working well.
