I personally like the 6-ticks waiting period. As the player renews the contract if the offer is rejected, it is important to somehow limit the number of offers – it gives at least more chances for everyone to bid for players
Bem vindo de volta!
I’ve mentioned this to Gabriel before, but just to put it here as well: as long as there is no limit on players developed in-house – that is, as long the limitation is just to acquire new players and not an obligation to sell players – we should at least try it…
Good suggestion!
Except players from inactive teams – those only age when the team is active
Gabriel, any updates status?
Sorry to keep bothering about this, but wanted to following up now that family members are also being used for “joint bidding” :-(
Netherlands and Belgium are the latest champions in Europe (Fast Ticker)
2nd CL title for Netherlands, 1st ever international title for Belgium :-)
All players sold by Brazilian managers would be described as the next Neymar :-)
I think this would be a great improvement!
One thing to think hard about is that chance of acquiring a player that belongs to another human manager. This part is very debatable and would need to be done very carefully, with a lot of buy in from the community of managers….
It is starting to get annoying the number of transactions in which friends team up to bid for a player, making the player’s morale critical and sending him to the TL. I do not see much difference between this and creating 2 accounts to sell players from one to the other…
The higher price asked by CPU is a mitigating factor but is far from enough.
1) How about changing the rule so that the number of bids would not add up? What would matter for the player to decide to be transfer listed would be only the “highest” bid (not in amount, but in importance).
2) Or perhaps a tougher punishment on players from human managers with critical morale: if a human-managed player has a critical morale due to bids for other players, he goes straight to the TL, and morale would not change for 4 ticks unless the bid(s) is (are) withdrawn. Then the manager helping out a friend would have a lot at stake…
3) Last suggestion – which I do not like, but would be a mitigating factor – is unifying the transfer lists. At least then newly listed players would be out in the open for everyone to see. I do not like this because (i) it is the least effective, and (ii) it would make the game easier (managers that want to excel should be able to differentiate themselves by putting extra effort, such as by going from TL to TL)…
Taking a look at the game and remembering how it was before, I just wanted to leave my congrats to Gabriel and Danilo for the significant improvement over the past months:
- There is no “one dominant team”. Winners of national league and international cups are, in most cases, changing from one season to the other. This shows a high level of competitiveness has been reached
- Transfer lists are lively. There are plenty of good players being sold (although prices are high) and money has become useful again. Unlike in the past, however, there are not too many good players lying around – it is just necessary for clubs to buy and sell players
- Small clubs have a chance. While it is unrealistic to think one will win an international cup within 5 or less seasons in a club, uprising teams have a shot of building reasonably decent squads fast enough so they challenge the more established ones
There is still plenty to do and is nice to see that GC/DC have been adding new features almost on a weekly basis, but wanted to leave this encouragement note here for now :-)
Happened again last match
While I keep on winning, please don’t correct the issue :-)
Gabriel, in my latest national team match in Fast the match report shows that Anibal Ribeiro played (http://rubysoccer.com/match/report/5909366). However, he is no longer part of my squad and was not a part during that match (as you can see we are in the middle of the WC, I cannot change the squad). Weird…
Hahahaha makes sense
Great suggestion!
Agree with you Gabriel, skills should not be directly affected by traits
Selecting here a list of the ones Joseppi proposed and I liked:
Good:
Free kick specialist
Penalty specialist
Power shot -> could be something like “long distance shots”?> boosts own morale
Loyal (happy to stay at club) -
Leader (extra captain points) —> boosts other’s morale
Bad:
Aggressive -> already exists as more likely to get cards> opposite of leader
Controversial (may upset other players) -
Low self belief (not great in important games) —> kind of exists, already
Others:
Corner Kick specialists
Plays better/worse in his home country/in his own continent
Too bad, I had just found out about this “breach” in the system :-)
As I have said before, I really like the match simulation in Ruby. The best team usually wins (see Olimpia recently…) but there is a decent amount of unpredictability
Niels, unfortunately 70m reserve is not that much anymore. I know of teams with hundreds of mils – and the natural consequence are higher salaries. I do agree, however, that what make a player choose team A or B could be reviewed. I personally get mad when I lose a bid for a promise (players with 18, 19 yo) to CPU, even bidding 2-3 times the salary paid by the winning bid…of course the player is more likely to play for the CPU in the short term, but those are youths for the future, they should not be so shortsighted.
Last, my comments on transfers is that some people abuse the “critical” rule and bid as a group for a player to make him critical and transfer listed. It is always the same people…and it’s not cool to those who do not play together with friends, family members, etc…
Hum…makes sense!
Competition Expectation
Division Profesional Qualify for Libertadores
Copa del Paraguay Reach the semi-finals
International Reach the final
I don’t get how the goal in Libertadores can be higher than in the national cup (considering there are >4 Paraguayan teams in Libertadores)…
Hahahaha
Addicted? Who, me? I can quit whenever I want…I just don’t want to….
If you are using a phone I believe you cannot drag and drop anymore. You have to click on the player and then select his replacement
Yes, 35 minutes
I think the substitution is made at exactly the minute you set for, that is, the substitution is made during the match (no need for a deadball). If the player that is coming out has the ball, he will be replaced during the play!
Agree
Overall it’s been too easy making money
Like the %, but liked the pts column better on the far right
Now selling a world-class GK
Paulo Monteiro – Kpg 95, Spe 89, Hea 86, 26y

There is something similar already – the “critical” morale.
Any bid for a player negatively impacts the player morale. Depending on the player’s current morale status and the strength of your bid (the country you play in, how strong your team is, etc…like a big club clause) the player’s morale might become critical and he’ll be transfer listed (for 2-3x his estimated value)
Again, that has been happening to me most of the time in Medium. In Fast, however, the scouts/coaches seem much more trustworthy. As Leigh only plays in Medium, I do believe him!
My experience with scouts/coaches has been very different in Medium and in Fast tickers. In Fast they work great, in Medium they are completely unreliable. Not sure why that is happening…
Hahaha, me too!
Mauro, suggestion going forward: try offering a new salary 37 turns or more before the contract is over. They only get upset for 36 turns (that I recall) so you’ll always have another chance…
