I can see were you are going with this and it looks good, however i believe it can be alot simpler without managers losing alot of great players.

Add the big club clause, some young players and great players should insist on this if joining a normal team, even a buy out clause say of ten million etc could be thrown in.

Buy off computer managed teams, obviously they won’t accept every bid but it would be nice to offer a good value for any player in computer managed teams. They can accept or reject as they see fit.

These two changes would definitely spice things up a little.

Ok, all changes in life are natural, even those not sold (accepted) as such.
What we can all do is learn and try to do /get better.

The new economy changes are GREAT, period.

What this has resulted in though and that is more of our ways of being people than anything the new model has to do with, is that people won’t sell better players, just because they think they can not find a good replacement because people won’t sell those players. Kind of “catch 22”, right?

So, in order to make it exciting and fair, I think the implementation for functionality to bid/get any player should be considered. Specially if not many are willing to sell their stars.
So this is my user story:

“As a manager in a club who can afford the best players the game has to offer, I should be able to buy any player I (the club) can afford acquiring.”

The WHY: because you can not do this naturally and also it’s more realistic.

The HOW:
A new department in the INVESTMENTS where you can allocate points for player BIDS/Protection.
That is not enough. For managers who want to protect their players, they should be able to protect few but not all.
For managers who will try to win a “bidding right” for certain player, there could be functionality allowing this.

So if we two new investment areas:
a) player protection (or call it player infrastructure / team management etc)
b) player PR services (or something else)

Manager would invest points in these areas, enabling bigger chance to sign a star and / or protect own stars.

There could be a random factor as well, that in game logic could be “the player choosing to stay” – but that percentage should be low (maybe maximum 20%).
Another thing the game engine should consider is “what is a BIG CLUB”, should we have such a thing?
Or any club with having enough money should be able to get any player?

Those are some starting points. More to come if anyone is interested.

I’ve Transfer Budget level 4 ($91,320,000) but when I try to buy a player I can’t offer none, it says me “(money available: $0)”. what’s wrong? thanks

i don’t vaughn. mostly, i can’t understand the the option for a 68 keeping goalie in a CL game! this manager would be fired everywhere if, because of that, his team lost 11-0.

I kinda agree that it might be better to get some kind of penalty or -board. However, i can understand why people do it (do/did it myself to).

Reminds me of what happened last season in group D of the CL. Ajax was 3 points and 7 goals up before the last round, then this happened:

Dinamo Zagreb 1 – 7 Olympique Lyon
Ajax 0 – 3 Real Madrid

Real Madrid 6 6 0 0 19 2 +17 18

Very unfair to you, you had a much better goal difference and still managed to strike 2 against the group winner.

We can’t do much to prevent this from happening, Benfica had no interest in the match and had a cup final very near. I’m pretty sure if he used just the main keeper and the same field players he would lost by 3 or 4, you would pass the group and he’d still have the players ok for the cup final…

Maybe a really high penalty performance in this kind of competitions would be in order, this teams have no problems with board performance but still, would make them think better if a result like this made the board remove 30% the performance…

Another suggestion would be to when morale gets implemented, results like this should have effect on all the team players morale… With demotivated players for the cup final in mind, Benfica could have another aproach in this match…

There are currently two ways to quickly rank your players: estimated value and (with a script) average stats. The script (currently) only works if there is an estimated value and it’s unclear if the script will be updated.

But there is a solution: add a column for average stats in the game (as a replacement for estimated value, or in addition).

(and I know the average stats don’t say anything, but that is also the case for any other number in the game…)

Which means that if the estimated value have to be removed for some reason, it should be replaced by adding a column for average stats (in the game, not with a script).

Sly, it works because Gabriel put the values back. The values will disappear again when the new scouting system will be added and the script will be down once again.

As long as you make it generally not accurate I’m ok with it, this should give the manager an opinion, which as he’s own may be wrong. Even for older players you should not make it too accurate. They could be more accurate telling you when players have done improving, that would be nice and not too harmful…

It works again, thank god! Saves me alot of extra work of tracking increasements. Not to mention too quickly view avarage stats of players.

Yes, the report will work for all players. In the future we’ll end up allowing transfer proposals for non-transfer listed players anyway.
Yes, the scout report will work for your own youth academy players, but as I said they will be less accurate for such young players.

I still have 2 questions:
- Will the the new scouting report work for all players? Transferlisted or not?
- Will it make you able to scout the potential of your own youth academy players? I hope not because only crap players will be on the (free) transferlist.
