Ok, right now we don’t have the 3 qualifying rounds for CL, but the first round works like a qualifying round, so I’ll make sure teams from the same country doesn’t play against each other in the first round of all international cups we have so far. When we have appropriate group stages and qualyfing rounds I’ll make things similar to real life.

Nice, I’ll work on this sorting stuff now that we have filters on this screen. As we displayed everything before we defaulted the screen to be sorted by transfer amount, which doesn’t make sense to free transfers or loans for instance :-)

Better late than never! My new year’s gift is now ready to be used: LOANS!

Managers can now loan list their players or make loan proposals to loan listed players. Loan negotiations may take 3 turns (transfers will behave in a similar way in the future), so even after you’ve made a reasonable proposal it may not be processed next turn. You’ll know the number of turns left in the negotiations screen.

When more than one loan proposal exist for the same player, the following criterias will be used: highest loan wage percentage, longest loan period, “weakest” team (in terms of players average).

You will be able to call a loaned player back or break a loan contract, but in order to do that you must pay the other involved team a certain amount depending on how many turns are left in the loan contract.

The transfers and loans screen can now be filtered to display transfers (default), free transfers, loans or all.

I expect to have left only minor bugs in all these new features, but we never now, there is a lot of code there! Let us know if you see anything strange or have any questions or comments. I hope you enjoy :-)

Sorry JD, something seems to be wrong with some users, we’ll have to investigate that a little further. You may be able to negotiate with that player cause I have cleaned some records again, but there is no guarantee. We’ll keep an eye on your records while trying to figure out the problem.

We’ve changed some infrastructure stuff last week and some users where mistakenly considered to be playing under the same network or computer. That was already fixed, but some records were still wrong in our database, I’ve deleted them now, so you should be able to make the offers now. Let us know if it happens again.

That happened cause we’re using the brazilian rules for all countries, so the first criteria is number of victories, but we’ll change that in the future to have specific rules for each country.

Nice suggestion about the “games in brakcets”, the only problem now is that we generate the games dynamically, I mean, we don’t know who will play against who in the next round until the current round is over, there is no such thing as the winner of game A against the winner of game B. Not that we can’t do it, it’s just not ready for your suggestion yet. I’ll put that on our list though :-)

About CL, what we do is the following, we have 21 teams in CL, so we need a first round with 5 matches, so that 16 will continue in the competition. To choose this 10 teams for the first round we go through each country, from the worst to the best in the ranking and get the last one to qualify for the CL. If it is not enough (and currently it isn’t as we have 6 european countries) we do that again getting the second “worst” team. Doing that we had 2 teams from Italy, France, Portugal and Germany and 1 team from England and Spain in the first round this season. Hope it is not too confusing :-)
