It wasn’t me, I’ve got Flamengo on turn 123 :-)
Happy New Year!
That happened cause we’re using the brazilian rules for all countries, so the first criteria is number of victories, but we’ll change that in the future to have specific rules for each country.
Cheers.
Thanks Jorge, you figured that out. Shouldn’t happen again, please let me know if it does.
Cheers.
I have one, but it will be a new year’s present, I couldn’t make it for Christmas :D
Cheers and Merry Christmas!
You know what, sometimes I want to do that as well :D
I’ll add this feature to our list right away!
Cheers! Merry Christmas!
Nice suggestion about the “games in brakcets”, the only problem now is that we generate the games dynamically, I mean, we don’t know who will play against who in the next round until the current round is over, there is no such thing as the winner of game A against the winner of game B. Not that we can’t do it, it’s just not ready for your suggestion yet. I’ll put that on our list though :-)
About CL, what we do is the following, we have 21 teams in CL, so we need a first round with 5 matches, so that 16 will continue in the competition. To choose this 10 teams for the first round we go through each country, from the worst to the best in the ranking and get the last one to qualify for the CL. If it is not enough (and currently it isn’t as we have 6 european countries) we do that again getting the second “worst” team. Doing that we had 2 teams from Italy, France, Portugal and Germany and 1 team from England and Spain in the first round this season. Hope it is not too confusing :-)
Cheers.
I’m pretty sure we already store that info, it’s just a matter of adding it to the UI :-)
Cheers.
I make Danilo’s words mine :-)
These first months of RubySoccer have been great! Even though we still have a long road ahead of us I feel the game have made a good progress and the feedback from our 180 active users (that’s you :-) ) was very important into this process. I expect to add one good new feature (surprise) before the end of the year, but I won’t promise anything.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
It should be displayed on your 85-88 financial report, at least that’s where it is in the database :-)
Merry Christmas!
Currently it is fixed based on brazilian rule, which is: number of victories, goals scored – goals against, goals scored.
We plan to make that more flexible and country dependant.
Cheers.
We don’t have a final decision about National Teams yet. Sometimes I miss them as well, it’s cool to see some of your players being part of their nation’s team :-)
Anyway, if we add that to the game it shouldn’t happen soon, but we won’t abandon the ideia.
Cheers.
Not that difficult, will discuss that with Danilo.
Cheers.
Yes Charles, we’re trying to figure that out :-(
It works fast enough most of the time, at least for me, but it is painful when it gets slow as you said. Let’s see what we can do.
Cheers.
Yes it will Alexandre, as soon as we have enough teams to make it more interesting :-)
Cheers.
We’ll soon reduce the number of penalty kicks per match and afterwards take care of the number of shots, goals scored, penalty kick scoring odds, penalty kick taker.
Cheers.
The limit is already 30 + 6 Amaral, 30 regular players + 6 youths :-)
Cheers.
The 2nd of the spanish league qualifies directly to the second life, Levante finished in 4th, not 2nd :-)
We used the ranking to get 10 teams for the first round, so we’ve got 4th from Spain, 4th from England, 3rd and 4th from Italy, 2nd and 3rd from Germany, 2nd and 3rd from France, 2nd and 3rd from Portugal. The 5 winners join the other 11 qualified teams for the 2nd round.
I agree Philipp, that was discussed some time ago and I was thinking about doing the following:
-limit the maximum rating based on the number of goals conceived
-give a bonus for clean sheets (unless there were no shots on goal)
I’ve discussed that once with some friends, a few suggestion came up:
-at the end of player generation, change position field according to generated attributes (so in the example above the player would be a midfielder)
-at the end of player generation, change position field according to generated attributes + potential (so in the example above the player would be a midfielder only if passing + potential in passing was greater than tackle + potential in tackle)…that could give away something about potential, like in your example, if the player was still a defender you’d know that he’d evolve his tackle at least until 79
-allow manager to change player’s position
-use the first ideia plus dinamically change player position during game when evolution caused one of the 3 main attributes to become greater than the others
In my opinion none of these solutions would add that much to the game, but if I had to choose one I’d go for the last one.
thorpedo is right Rui, you’ll start in the second round, which is 6 turns after the first round’s second leg.
Cheers.
Renaud: are you logged on FastTicker when trying to access the links?
Yeah, I know, terrible report. Look at mine
http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/match_report/16428
We’ll do something about it, for sure.
Thanks for reporting mauro, I know what’s going on, will fix it soon.
System generated in-game messages now contain links to teams, managers, players and match results they refer to.
Added to our list. I’m surprised it wasn’t there, as it has been an issue for a while.
Cheers
Added to our list, will discuss that with Danilo.
Cheers.
Should be fixed by now. If anyone see this again, please let us know.
Cheers.
The Goals and AVG Goals statistics for goalkeepers on player history screen will now tell us the number of goals conceived by the keeper. It will be represented by a negative number (or 0 if the keeper hasn’t conceived any goals in the games he played). The count starts now, so all matches so far won’t be considered.
That’s on our list :-)
Cheers.
I hope you are :-)
I’m facing bad results with my team as well, hope I can figure that out along the season.
Cheers.
