Though I posted something, but don’t see the post. Again then:
“Estimated value for players has been removed. It’s like they say, the value of something is the amount of money somebody is willing to pay for it. Or something like that, you’ve got the idea :-P”
Gabriel, this change (and the rubysoccer script not working) makes the game more or less unplayable. The estimated value was useful in ranking players. Normally the best youth player had the highest estimated value, so you know the ones you wanted to give a contract and the ones you wanted to dump. Now it’s much more diffilcult to see (and also for other players).
So you can please switch back this change?
“The maximum transfer price for a player has been raised from 3 to 4 times his estimated value. "
I saw this player in fast ticker:
Craig Hildred Cruzeiro A LC 28 33 81 83 84 98 91 84 91 31 $40,573 $28,890,510 $150,000,000
Is this a bug or a feature?
It’s good though, otherwise physio is totally pointless.
I think there was something posted about it recently. I don’t remember exactly what, but there is a negative consequence of overstepping the wage limit.
“How about the buying selling is NOT handled by the manager but by the club agents/lawyers/whoever.”
That would make the game less fun for a lot of people.
On topic, I have an old 90 goalkeeper for sale for almost nothing.
Davison, do you imply that there aren’t even chances for everyone?
An easy improvement for scouting would be to have better search possibilities. Search for minimum player value, maximum player price, boolean search, etc. The higher your scouting, the better the search possibilities.
And perhaps an option to get a notification if a player gets fired/released?
True. In most cases, transfer budget isn’t that important as it is now…
It worked fine for some time, but now I have the same problems as I had Aug 28, 2011 8:58pm again…
As it is now, leftover money from the transfer budget is lost. Gabriel is looking at a way to have some bonusses from leftover money, probably extra points to spend.
Actually I think there were other ways to solve the economic situation. Wages could have been made more important, they were too low compared to transfer prices. Also the strategy of making a lot of money by just selling a lot of (young) players can be avoided by setting a max to the amount of players sold per year. And some stadium seats can get lost (perhaps when a manager leaves a club).
I had that too: on the same turn the player was loaned, it was returned…
Include Davison in the developers team Danilo! No doubt this will make Rubysoccer the most succesful football manager game ever.
“The transfer budget is the amount of money you have to buy new players. When this value is renewed on turn 13 any money left in the previous season budget is disregarded. When you sell a player a % of the transfer amount is added to your transfer budget. "
So as a buyer, if you have 100M transfer budget left from the previous season, the choice is either to spent it all, or just let the money disappear. It would be logical to bid very highly then, isn’t it?
But on the other side: as a seller, if you sell a player, you risk that all the money from the transfer is disregarded. It’s only good to sell when you think you can buy a player (with the extra money from the transfer) before tick 13, right?
Doesn’t this lead to strange situations? For example that paying 200M with 20k salary can be better than a free transfer with 25k salary?
I’m sure it was for the best of the game, however, for me it makes the game less interesting, so I’m not sure how long I will continue to play. If only there was another game like the old Soccersim…
Where can I find the current sum of wages?
And the new system abolishes at least part of the idea of building up a club, right? No saving up money, no patiently improving the stadium.
No, the managers who paid very high wages have been rewarded, cause they have the better players without any disadvantage.
If real life time was an issue, it was better to wait longer with the new system imo.
That sucks yes. Doesn’t really motivate to continue playing the game :(
Have all the wages been reset?
Or in other words, anyone who got players by giving them 300k per tick is rewarded by the changes, while managers who kept the wages low are being punished?
He’s been online…
I don’t expect him to reply at all ;)
Wow, that must be a record… could be legit though.
I don’t think it’s cheating. It seems a kind of vandalism to me, just ruining his team for fun.
He’s been with the club for eight seasons…
He did it again:
45 João Felipe Juanito Muela Fired from Sevilla. His wage was $199000.
41 Alencar Mentges => João Felipe Juanito Muela 120000000 Transfered from Fortaleza to Sevilla
I played him in friendlies to develop his stats. Position doesn’t matter. And he developed nicely (though he’s not worth 172578876 as Sevilla paid for him).
Yeah, the one that has developed as predicted!
Pieter Reefhuis! Remember him Davison? ;)
Selling four players:
Niek Bakker Keeper 18yr est val 7.8M price 12M
Johan Notenboom Keeper 23yr est val 143M price 125M
Noud Fraser MA 85av 26 yr est val 41M price 33M
Evaldo Borba DM 88av (!) 93pas (!) 33yr est val 49M price 40M
Check PSV: http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/team_players/636
I do hope that with the new economy system wages (and keeping them low) becomes more important.
