You forgot to mention the all-English CL final between us ;-)
I’ve got to tell you I planned to leave EPL soon, but your post has all the reasons why I will stay a bit longer.
This game has to have negatives in it, we cant keep making everything easier. Ive lost a few players before by trying to be cheap lol, stick him on the transfer list.
Recap on season 175’s EPL:
Liverpool takes the title in one of the most competitive seasons of epls history, being behind for most of the season “the reds” managed to pull a stunning run in the final part taking advantage of MU’s busy schedule and bad results against both Liverpool and Tottenham…
Surprise of the year must go to Joseppi’s Tottenham for the fantastic season, the third place may seem short considering they have been first several ocasions but still is a hell of a season for a team of promising youngsters, laying the foundations for what will certainly become a major competitor in the next seasons.
This season will be remembered also for Dirk Woestenborghs arriving in Ipswich. The world class coach left Malaga after 117 seasons feeling the need for a new challenge and where best to do it than in the most growing competitive League in the game. The feeling in England is that this momentum is not over yet and some more surprises may happen in the next days…
I noticed it stucks some times when opening list (players list, transfer lists, etc…)
Yet I suspect this is my phone telling me it’s retirement time :D
What did you offer, what was the old wage and how old is the player?
That probably means your negotiations investment level is low. I’ve seen that happen to people every now and then and personally I feel it is not that bad in general, but it doesn’t mean I’m right!
I could potentially increase the accuracy of the suggested wage overall, so that lower levels had a higher chance of getting it right…or maybe I could change the whole mechanic so that instead of showing a bad suggestion you would get no suggestion at all, would this be better or worse?
I also use Google Chrome and I haven’t noticed any significant change lately. Curious to know from others.
Hi,
I offered a contract a little higher than what was expected, for the length of time requested.
The player cancelled negotiations as it was too low.
Well, jeez. I feel like an idiot for offering what I was advised to offer.
WTF? And now I’ve lost the guy. For no good reason at all. A broken mechanic.
Hi,
I use Google Chrome, and lately the login times are much longer than usual. Just me?
There’s nothing like having Magic Johnson, Shaq O’Neal and Kobe Bryant as the 3 top goalscorers of all time of your team :-)
The NBA is the best. But why are managers spending ruby money to rename soccer players to NBA greats?
Weird.

As predicted, the most competitive and fun championship in the game…
Still many spots for starting a new team…
Yeah I’ve considered bids for certain players before but I know it will take a massive offer so I have never actually went through with it.
You can currently do that as a forced transfer attempt, even though I understand it is not exactly the same because you will be wasting it just so the manager receives a message and also the manager will not be sure you whether you were just making an offer or trying to “steal” the player.
I think you are right, it makes sense to allow a non-forced offer to a player owned by a human manager, and message him/her about it.
Some old but gold for sale!
Erik Miskovic – kpg 100, spe 92, avg 89, Sweden national
Maldonado – tac 85, pas 85, sho 87, avg 89. Portugal national. Can play as DM, AM or A!!!
Guilherme – sho 99, amazing secondaries, Brazilian national!
Hi, I thought it would be a good idea to put a bid on any player owned by a human team, then when the manager logs in he can see the offer and either negotiate or decline.
Would save a lot of managers messaging each other saying Hi, is ‘whoever’ for sale.
Just put the bid in, say 50million and the manager can accept, player will be added to transfer list for 3 turns or decline.
Makes sense, I don’t like B players now haha
Do they have high wages? That would be one obvious reason…the others could be:
1) There are better “first team”players that CPU teams can afford for the same position
2) There are better “potential” players that CPU teams can afford for the same position
Hi, I’ve tried selling a few B class players, some for cheap and no one buys them! Even if I list for the lowest price allowed. Why is this?
Players will now automatically return from loan if their “first division” or “team qualified for international cup” clauses are breached when the teams that had loaned them are relegated or knocked out from an international cup, respectively.
When next step says “I’m not sure” it just means the report is inconclusive. When it says player won’t improve anymore then you can be sure his evolution is over.
Yes, had a similar situation in Euro League a few seasons ago.
Only Liverpool players scored that day, unfortunately, the opposition had a guy of mine, and he scored on me.
Perhaps another option in the loan drop down list:

Hi,
Next step reports vs Evolution Stage reports often provide contradictory information.
Next Step I’m not sure how this player can improve.
However, I have had numerous players where their new Evolution Stage report still maintains that the player can still improve their skill points.
When this happens, I re-run both reports, and often the reports stay the same.
For example, Henrik Simonsen, he is 89 shooting, and Evolution Stage says he will be 94-100, yet multiple Next Step reports say he wont improve.
Very unlikely, only if EVERYONE leave ;-)
Thank you. I’d definitely play a full season in the 2nd league again purely for more testing.
Ahh, ok. I played soccersim back in 2000, totally addicted to it, then 1 day it just turned off omg. Let me know if you ever think of turning this thing off jeez.
Interesting perspective! Just a small correction, this is not soccersim and was not even built on top of it. Soccersim was just an inspiration for us to create our own game when that one went offline :-D
Hi,
I was in the English Premier League, got demoted in Season 85, promoted in Season 86, and now I have finished in the Champions League for Season 87.
The season I was in the lower English Championship League, I ran the season in 4 game chunks. I tried out all of the formations I had been using, really found that some just did not work. In fact, I was surprised that I was able to get promoted.
From a tactics and player positioning perspective, I have not been able to identify how the variations impact games.
My players have remained pretty much the same over these past 3 seasons. Only as slightly worse keeper, and a better midfielder is all I have been able to achieve. I still have not worked out how to integrate young players into my senior squad without sacrificing wins.
Even after all of these years, I am still addicted to soccersim. Thanks for keeping it up and running.
HAHAHAHAHA
