… and let’s start international matches earlier in the season & national cup finishes later. So teams who wanna win all, have at least problems with stamina.
Don’t know, how important stamina is, but i should be success critical…

so, for the last 15 seasons my board expects me to reach the final in international competion. Now, after winning the CL and WC in s23, the board suddenly lowers to “reach semi final” … why is that? less quality of players?

Thought there are more big player. my guess for the top spots … Hertha, Bayern, Napoli.
.
Only clubs who sell a lot of good players can be rich. just by ticket etc income you’re not getting big, when you increase stadium size continously. Besides you are bulding up a small team, you only sell good players when you have an even better player for certain positions.
.
That’s an advantage e.g. for my side. I started building up my cash stock, when i finished my team building process, where i had to re-invest the money i earned. I guess there are more team manager who have a superb squad for a long time and could have save up money since season ~16: Getafe, Athletico, Boca, Genoa, Recreativo, Benfica …
.
note: Though there are lotta good players, superb players are rare on adaquate prices – i bought only 4 players in the last 4 seasons, for 169M. Even if you have big money, you ’re not willing to pay senseless prices to greedy managers.

i can’t complain there ;)
but it’s hard to decide who to fire, when your squad is full and youths are asking for a contract

@Alban that’s true. it’s now more a hire&fire of talents than before. but on the same time it makes you more picky in acquisations. That’s a benefit for minor clubs in getting promissing young players.

i wouldnt spend 100M for a player (exept for a goalie). As long as i know that i can try to develop ten 10M player or 100 free transfer for the same money i would go that way. Then you get probably a superb player and minimum 5 other decent player that you can resell for good cash. That’s long term business thinking ;-)

Gabriel, how many teams with 100M+ & 250M+ are in the game?

why isnt José Andrade on my list, hmm … sure he’s top 3.

i remember Boucquet when he was young, 10-15 seasons ago, one of the first 90+ strikers in the game. tried to buy him backthan, missed.

it should be avoided (by the system) that teams from the same country play each other in the qualification round (for the group stage).
Thats not fair regarding the country ranking points. In FT play all 4 german teams each other …

thanks for your words!
But i obviously expressed myself not good enough ;)
I’m not resigning for Hertha (not yet). I just wanted to make a point, that obviously i lack the rs-required tactic knownledge, otherwise i should win this cup with my strong squad. And that i’m looking for a co-manager at hertha for the “tactician department” … was meant a joke. But maybe someone (of the french team managers) volunteers … ;)

Big german team with excellent quality of players looks out for an expert on ruby soccer match tactics. International expertise would be a plus.
We offer you a position in germanys most glorious club with the renomee of 5 champions league trophys. After 6 years without winning the CL we see the need of some new ideas.

apply now!

anyway, i suggest (again) to make the schedule more realistic. all cups and competitions on parallel modus. national cup has its final ~turn 110 and internationals start around ~turn 40. a world cup can be done in the season break (turn 1 to ~30), if required.

1)Brest
2)Getafe
3/4: Benfica/Athletico

I am just disappointed with german teams, too. Especially with Hertha.

haha, have a look at my post above and then take a look on the latest CL match Napoli x PSG:
http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/match_report/317777

this couldn’t better be illustrated then with this match (report). one team was way better by possesioning, ratings and shots – and didnt won. ok, that happens sometimes in RL aswell, but not that often as in here. Regarding the reported match facts in this case the (PSG) tactics have failed, but at least in this match the luck was on their side ;)

Well, i’m with Alexander and with the french “rat pack” …
First, player are not just to value by their main skill. Second, the success in competitions of a manager should depend on the quality of his players and their fitting on managers personal tactic/strategy. If one found out the perfect fit for his team he should see the result in the match reports: more ball possesion, more shots on goal, better plaer rating etc.

For me, the frustrating part on the current match engine is:
The match report doesnt show any logic in the system. One team with average players rating 9.5, the other with 4.5, 30×5 shots and a 0-1 result. How can attacker get a 10 when they doesnt score in 20 attempts? vice versa when they get a ten they should score 5 times against mminor teams…

I can give you endless reports, not just of my matches, where is absolutely no relation of the criteria mentioned above. Thats too often the case to call it “random factor”.

But i suppose danilo and Gabriel are aware of the problem and try to improve that with the next enhanement of the match engine.

fast ticker season 21 CL groups:
- 2 german teams in group A, 2 spanish in B, 2 portuguese in C and another 2 portuguese in D
—> please don’t put teams from one country in a group …

- regarding the team ranking list Group A consists of the No 1, No 2 and No 3 and No 6 …
—> that’s not a definition of balanced groups …
