From the Wiki:
“Retirement
Unfortunately a soccer player’s career has to come to an end. On Ruby Soccer that happens to players between 36 and 40 years old, when they announce their retirement at the end of the next season. The older a player become, more likely he is to announce his retirement.”
So the players should still play many seasons after 31.
OK, thanks for the info.
Cheers!
Can you say anything more specific on that 3-ticker, Gabriel?
Within the next week or later?
Also Italy needs to be checked. Neil did not get credit for the championship. He resigned one tick too early.
Should it be changed that the game would save the manager that was at the team when the championship was secured and not at the season tick? Or is this too difficult to do?
Lol, he must have checked my team and got scared and decided to leave as a winner while he can! :-))
Congratulations on your results in Italy and hope to see you back some day on a three-ticker!
I´ve had big trouble getting decent results with the good material I have. Hope I can challenge the two top teams next season better than I did this season.
Enjoy it while you can! :-)
I am against having different ingame forums in addition to this one. We definitely don´t have too much activity here so I wonder how many managers would read and write at the ingame forums. I think it is not wise to split the conversations to too many areas as there is not too much of conversation now.
We could have a transfer area here in this forum and maybe an area for each dimension. But not too many forums. One good is enough.
I think friendlies affecting stamina less would make sense. But I am not sure if I want to see more changes than that.
After all, a good manager can (and will) rotate his/her squad if needed and won´t play the friendlies with the same players that play the “real” matches. Buying a few very cheap players to complete the “youth team” or “reserves”, well, anyone can do that if there is will to play friendlies.
And I don´t want to make playing the game too easy because I don´t think it would be as much fun if it became too easy. I don´t know who wants to play a manager game that is too easy…
.
I still don´t know how the coaches will affect all this. Will they have a chance to train the players with higher and lower intensity? Maybe the system needs to be reviewed once more when coaches are implemented.
And maybe it also would make sense if the players age affected the speed of recovery as youth players usually can take a lot more “punishment” than older quys. Maybe players under 20y could recover faster than normal, then players between 20 and 28 would recover at a normal speed and then players older than 28 would recover slightly slower than the normal rate…
I don´t know… Too many possibilities. I believe Danilo and Gabriel will make the right decisions and I´ll love the game anyway. :-)
Back in Managersim days a couple of my friends introduced me to the game when we were drinking beer at my house. :-) To fully help me understand the fun of the game other one of them logged in at my computer to show me around. When I registered a few weeks later and started to read the rules I found out that I could never trade with the friend of mine.
Didn´t like it in the beginning but got used to it. Of course there were hundreds of other managers to trade with. Sure, we missed a couple of good possible trades when the other had a player that the other would have needed for sale, but I think preventing trading for good was the right way to do it.
I think temporary inhibition could be OK though if the records of trades would be kept so that if there happens some very strange activity between managers that have, some time, played in the same network you could then make the prohibition final.
Pretty addicted already… Spent hours trying to stay awake waiting to see one more tick, when should have been sleeping the night before school. :-))
I am very optimistic about the future of the game as you guys have been doing a great job and players have been quite active trying to help.
I am also an ex-Managersim player. I was unlucky to play it only for around one year, but was extremely addicted to it.
Many times had my alarm clock ringing in the middle of the night if I had to beat someones bid for a good player. :D
I am not sure but I think I may have signed one player marked as a youth. Didn´t think more about it at the time because I was logged in at school and had to run to class…
I have the same problem with Amado and Maini at Beta1, Empoli.
When having the problem with both of my best strikers I am in big trouble if the bug is not fixed before my next league match.
Yeah, I think it will help enough on this matter when a system is added that prevents selling too soon after buying the player. Maybe half a season or 3/4 of a season would help a little.
I´m not sure about all those results but I checked one high scoring result and noticed there were no goalkeepers in the other team at all.
Well, that is probably not the case in all those matches but anyway…
Competition history for national cups shows me the Spanish champion in every country now.
Oh, I guess Danilo had just written about this a couple of hours ago… :D
Do you already have a team history for last seasons results added/planned?
I mean you could see the wins, draws, losses, points and position of your team for past seasons.
Sorry I´ve been quite busy lately so I´ve not had that much time to browse around the game and read these forum posts so I may have missed a few things/suggestions.
Maybe also have to review this one more time when coaches and training are added. To have the players with different training intensity to recover at a different speed.
Yes, it sounds good that teams playing in more than one competition have to rotate their squads a little.
You have mail. :-)
Anyone?
Damn! My team lost against Roma 2-0.
Shots on goal were 40 to 4 for me. Maybe I should tell the boys to get a little closer to the net before shooting. :-))
4-3-3 formation 4-4-2
50% possession 50%
5 shots 55
4 shots on target 40
64% accurrate passes 58%
42% effective tackles 45%
0 corners 6
1 offsides 5
0 fouls 18
I was wondering if one goal of Roma was a penalty shot. Because one of my defenders was given a card at 5th. min. and the goal was scored at 6th. min. Does it say it in the report now if it was a penalty?
Friendlies wanted!
Beta1, Empoli.
Always one friendly match between two league matches. Home and away please!
OK. That´s what I wanted to know, Gabriel. Thanks.
This is something that I still have not been able to test as I have a decent team and there are not good enough players on the market that I could try it out with. Or if there were, the sellers would not accept the prices I can afford.
I mean, in MS trying to buy players “too good” for your team was difficult. I don´t know how it was done but when I tried to make my team better I had to buy only a little better players than the ones I already had at the moment. The players didn´t want to play for my team.
So if I had a team which had average primary skills around 90 then it was almost impossible to buy a player with a primary skill of 96. I had to first hunt down a few players of 92, then 93, 94 and so on. Step by step going up. So I couldn´t just save 300M and then buy 11 good players.
I know it probably was not about the primary skills but you get the idea…
Is there something like this in RS now? If not, are you guys thinking of adding it?
Yeah, it looks better now!
Can´t wait to see it next turn. Good work!
Very nice, Gabriel!
It also was very good as it doesn´t need an exact name to find the manager. Great!
Great job!
By the way, will a lower stamina affect a player getting more likely injured?
And is there going to be something like that? Of course not too much so that it is not fun anymore, but just a little…
What do people think about it?
