Alot of teams have more money than that, you were just unlucky! Sell some of your players and bring in younger ones, that always helps me

I have one formula for CL and EL to make this competitions more intersting

1- 10 country´s

UEFA Coeficient

1º – 2º – 3º – 4º send 4 team´s = 16 team´s
5º – 6º – 7º send 3 team´s = 9 team´s
8º – 9º – 10º send 2 teams = 6 team´s
31 teams + Champion = 32 team´s so you make 8 groups 4 team´s in each groups and done

More games for all teams so more intersting.

Many changes would be welcome, HOWEVER:

You have got to deal with the arbitrary results. It’s the number one game killer in regards to enjoying this game. Because, at the end of the day, all your hard work in building the team and selecting the right tactics comes to the result.
For the second season in a row, I am ousted by the Wolves, in a completely arbitrary fashion.
Last season I won away 2-1 with complete dominance. Then they win at my home 4-3 in another game dominated by Pool. You would think that the away rule affecting players main skills would weaken the opposition skills and yet it seems to strengthen them.
Last season, Wolves went to win the cup in the same fashion against a total dominating United.
Coming back to this season, I draw away 2-2, lose at home 2-3. A 51-28 aggregate on my favor with pretty much better players in every position, especially the strikers.

There is no excuses for these lapses, which, as a matter of fact, are a common phenomena and not a lapses. Much has been said about the quality of shots and how you make the shots, but despite what the justifications are, this is a simple game of numbers vs numbers. Of course, some unpredictability is allowed, but this pushing it too far.
Just to be more specific, I thrashed Wolves away in the league game 6-1, with pretty much the same tactics and players in display from both sides. In all three games nothing much has changed gamewise (tactics, players, shots), but the “ability” of the opposition to add to their scoring with the same amount of work. And, ironically, they triple their efficiency in the hardest game yet, by being away. :D

If on the other hand there’s no problem with game engine, then it must really be the case that most of the managers here are quite dumb, including me, because there’s a lot of managers out there feeling at loss with such outcomes. It’s enough to check out the Match Results Bug section to get a clue. And for every reported case, you can count 10 more unreported. Or even more, as only a handful of managers even attend the forums

What happens on the pitch is the core of the game, the rest is pure decoration. If you get the substance right, then you can start worry about the rest.

PS: One of the main apologies handed out to counter such a phenomena is that “at the end it all balances out.” It does not, and we have seen a lot of cases in the cup competitions where such apology completely loses ground.
It is also important to not that at the end of the day, we all play the game to get some sense of accomplishment, like everything else we do in our lives. If the outcome is decided by arbitration, even if they “balance out,” then, where is the accomplishment in all this?

1. if you invested Stadium you should get a pay out from tickets.
2. World Club better than national team. At least should be play 4 teams or more…
3.Fix so many weird results… it can happen from time to time not like now…
4.get money for goal keeper or any player in the top scoring league from each league.
5. get money if you reach board goals.
6. allow transfer not with money, instead exchange of player in only one step.

If you want to improve your team now, you can loan players. For example, I (PSV Netherlands) have a.o. a 86 average player for loan, and you don’t even have to pay salary.

To generate money, you could play more friendlies. Though they don’t generate a lot of money, every little bit helps.

I think the players value base its to high, its impossible for a new players to buy, i start to play 1 week ago and i take one club and this club have only 700k, how to buy so its impossible only for free, thats the point this manager games sure its very good to win but what is intersting in this ticks, you look for a new player, the negociations, but dont have much here, i only enter int he game to make changes in the time and i leave because i dont have money to buy and in the free transfer dont have good players.

Well Danilo i wish before closing the case you could kindly give an answer to my question about this particular player Richard Coleman.

I read the forums and am active in the game also and i am asking this simple question based on the facts given by you guys about players loosing skills after 30.

If you are saying there is no bug and its normal for a 38 year old player retire with four 100 and one 99 skill i have have nothing else to say and i guess i have to go back to school for math lessons particularly about probability.

Regards

We’ve been working behind the scenes, but I would like to hear from you guys: what are the new functionalities / improvements you would like to see in rubysoccer? Try to name more than one, if possible!

This whole “what’s going on with Tigre and its players” thing must stop. In rubysoccer, there are no privileges or privileged information: everything Alessandro knows was also explained here in the forum. No team has special logic or treatment – not only because this kind of thing does not interest us, but also bc it would be a pain in the ass to create, in the code, such singular exceptions to the rules. Alessandro’s success is purely due to his dedication to the game, and I am pretty sure you can find everything he knows regarding evolution/skills here in the forum. Or just try asking him, that’s why we have a community and an internal mail system… He really took his time to understand how things work and he is always visiting rubysoccer to manage his team or just to browse the stuff.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but this is the last time I will waste my time to come here to “explain” that. This chapter is closed, at least for me.

Let Danillo reply to this topic and try and shed some light on this matter. Or perhaps Gabriel can say some things. I must admit, I’ve been amazed at his “finding skills” aswell. I always felt I had a good grasp of “what to look for”, but Tigre makes me feel I’m still playing in the amateurs division, while he’s playing with the pro’s :)

Updated the sold players records in this page, most of the players we sold are still developing and probably will become superstars. We have two defenders for sale now. Both of them I believe have potential to be world best, for that reason the prices wont change much, its up to you to know if I am the kind of manager who fools other managers or the kind that you can trust every time you want to make a deal…

I think what amacb is saying needs serious addressing here. If players at Tigre keep improving beyond the age of 30, when it has been said without a doubt that growth stops at 30 no matter what, then there’s smth wrong going one way or another.
This whole Tigre story has gone on far too long, the reason being, IMO, that the team plays in South America. If the equivalent of Tigre would have happened in Europe, ppl would have been more aware.

I remember a topic like that, but maybe there is more to it than “knowing the ins and outs” . I repeat my first question. read the following from developers and then look at this retiring guy skills.

“Every 12 turns an old player may lose 1 point in a particular skill, the older the player the higher the chance of losing the point. The odds are 10% * (player age – 30), so a 31 years old players has 10% of chance of losing 1 point every 12 turns, a 35 years old has 50%, a 40 years old has 100%. "

This topic was already adressed by Dhimiter Gjodede. He pointed out that the succes rate of Tigre was 60+%. So more then half of ALL the players he bought became stars. Not just stars….but “The best in the game” in there position.

This manager is the cousin of Danillo. According to Danillo (the god of rubysoccer :P) the only advantage of Tigre was that instead of reading the ins and outs about Ruby on the forum he got them directly from him.

I’ve seen that too in Argentina, Gustavo Klimowicz became some kind of superhero about 3 seasons ago… Maybe we are being unfair but it sure looks strange how mostly every player that passes there become world best.

I guess you’re also talking about Diaz. When I bought him a season ago he was 641, now he just improved to a solid 680. It’s just amazing!

The other Tigre player I bought is Virginio Costa. He improved from 628 to 675 but is decreasing skills now.

wow, really is something to consider … as I admit have also realized this, it’s amazing how players after going to Tigre they evolve quickly and voluminous.

Can somebody explain me how this guy can have 4 solid 100 skills at the age of 38?

http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/player_info/92231

I manage Argentinian national team i see old players keep improving with blue colors playing or has played for tigre… i have been observing this for a while and decided to post at last. Not pointing to finger to anybody but something is not right.

Cheers
