Soccersim was a great game under Peter, its just sad that its now a Pay to Play game and current managers who havent/cant pay are being forced out :(
How about a team that has say 7 players of the same nationality in the starting 11 gets a small advantage in the match? For example if ur managing an Italian team then if u had 7 or more italian players in ur starting 11 ud get a small advantage in the match. That way it wud encourage the use of the youth system and help international sides.

Removing real life club names, giving managers contracts and all the other superficial changes are all well and good but it wont change the fundermental problem that everyone seems to complain about and thats the match engine. Removing club names wud make the game less attractive as i really couldnt see me getting excited about managing a team called Joe Bloggs United or The Manchester Raiders for example!
As for contracts i cud quite easily see managers getting sacked right left and center like international managers currently do. The board was 100% happy with me, i played and lost the next match and i was sacked. Hardly realistic and sadly i havent bothered with international management since.
Better youth academy is a good idea and cud be done similar to the current training ground were u use points to improve it with a bigger pool of youth players too.
Training is one thing the game is missing though as managers have no input into this which is odd given its a fundermental part of being a football manager. Being able to control training and perhaps focus on training specific attributes would be good.
I have to say i like the way the game is right now too. The only problem i have with it is that from day one we’ve never been able to use normal world formations like 4-4-2, 4-3-3 and 5-3-2 for example as play only seems to happen in the center of the pitch and therefore managers just line their players up through the center of the pitch.
Another problem is that players from brazil and England are better than other countries and therefore everyone seems to buy players solely from those countries. A way to solve that could be to implement a team bonus wereby a team fielding say 6 homegrown players would get a small performance advantage in the match over a team full of foreign players. It would also help international teams too. Additonally regarding international teams, managers gets fired way too easily which makes it kind of pointless even applying and again that is something which cud be improved.
As for getting rid of real life club and competition names, i wouldnt be in favour of that as one of the unique aspects of this game is having real clubs in real competitions as its something most onlines games dont have.
Cleaning browers cookies hasnt fixed the problem for me

Ah yeah good old Soccersim, i miss that game :( Anyway i used to manage Liverpool and Ac Milan in the game and did quite well too :)
Ah right, well hopefully i shud be able to get the board rating back up next season as i’ll have easier teams to play.
Yeah it was after the final match of the season. Does that mean it wont drop anymore before the start of next season then?
Is it normal for your board rating to drop by over 20% after losing a match? It seems rather harsh to me and now my board rating is just 1%.

I just dont understand this game! I know my Parma team isnt the best team around but why am i getting hammered every match? If anyone wishes to help me i would be greatful because its getting to the point were im ready for leaving Rubysoccer :(

I was with SS/MS too. I managed Liverpool for a long period in one of the challenge games and Marseille in Fulltest. Was gutted when the site closed :(

Is it working yet because when i go to the page it says “This is still not being applied on the match”. Im not sure whether thats because its not yet in operation or because of some bug perhaps.
Will youth players yet to be given a contract be trained by the new coaching system aswell?
PS I like these new additions and will make the game more interesting :D
Ive looked and ive got it installed. Ive got windows 98 tho and none of the downloads on that site are for windows 98 :(
I think ive got Java installed. It was a long time ago when i installed it. Im using explorer.
How do you get the match replay to work? When i click on the link to view the match all i get is a big grey box.
Well ive been relegated becos i simply cannot get my team to score! I scored something like only 5 goals in the entire season and i tried every formation and tactics i could. Ive got a decent team but its got to the point were i dunno what to do anymore to get the team to score :(
Im not sure whether the problem is fixed or not becos ive been tried to stay logged in for hours and only just managed to be able to stay logged in long enough to post this. It would also be helpful if there was somewhere were u could post without having to be logged in becos for people who are having problems logging in theres nowhere for them to post and get help.
