People who respond here on the forum and don’t respond on an in-game mail. That’s why i post here :)
Come people, be a little polite and atleast write something back. Something like “to low”, ’not interested" is enough for me.
BK,
The first 2 lines are something you don’t write according to the forum policy. However i’m a big fan of that kind of sarcasm, unfortunally not everyone can deal with it so leave it out please.
In-game messages can easily be ignored, they are not a public shout for everyone to see. I don’t plan to spend that much time taking care of the forums, we’ll soon assign moderators to do that job. It’s not like we have that many messages any way.
The time I spend here in the forums is not wasted time, sometimes very interesting ideas pop up and that’s why I want to remove all the noise with the help of moderators. Don’t worry about me giving up, every time I realize something in RubySoccer is annoying me too much I just get away from it during some time and when I return I’m ready to deal with it again :-)
This means you have to remove 95% of Davisons posts, no? :)
Gabriel, how about the in-game mails, I am sure I am NOT the only guy to receive stupid mails from Davison.
The question is, as this is a beta testing of a game, how far one has to go so you keep tolerating some people?
In WHICH way is such a person contributing in the further development in the game ?
Also how does censorship help the progress of the game development?
I am just amazed how can you even find time to be active in the forums, when you have so much plans for the game and development takes time.
Just some thoughts, I have done some football man. game development in my time and I have been what you are going through, trying to give some positive ideas, to help the game dev. progress. I can not stress this enough, that everything you put in extra that takes time to administer and control will eventually break or make, most normally break, when you do not have the time and or energy to handle it.
We, “the testing team” have to be a more organized team working towards the same goal, which is the development of the game. You shouldn’t HAVE TO sett any rules that people should respect each other nor censor ANY posts. That is kind of a very natural thing. If you are not careful with your vital choices now, it’s just matter of time before you think this is not interesting to continue anymore. That I can guarantee you.
BK
respect
I understand what you’re saying Filipe. I won’t discuss here whether or not it was offensive. The reason I censored your post was because lately there’s been too much personal complaints and pointless discussions in the forums, most of them directed to Davison, as we all know. That said, there’s no reason to keep teasing him over and over, being offensive or not. We have a formal policy now and I’m hoping that everyone, including Davison, will try to follow that.
I’m sure we have better things to discuss here :-)
“Administrators and forum moderators exist to make sure posts are not offensive, malicious or unrelated to the purpose of these forums and that topics don’t digress too much from their original subject.”
“I should not be censored because what I say may be taken bad by a person who has no notion of basic educated conversation. My understanding is that you guys removed what I wrote not because it was offensive but because it could (depending on how much unstable he was at the moment) lead to offensive comets by the other person”
directing offensive comments to me was the reason

I agree with everything Gabriel wrote in the topic and in this kind of forums some censorship is always needed. I just hope you guys wont be cutting every word that could or may or would lead to another discussion…

I understand I didn’t need mention what I mentioned in the post but still I should not be censored because what I say may be taken bad by a person who has no notion of basic educated conversation. My understanding is that you guys removed what I wrote not because it was offensive but because it could (depending on how much unstable he was at the moment) lead to offensive comets by the other person, that IMO is not good use of censorship.

Well the topic is quite active so maybe Vaughn actually gets some deal with it lol

People usually answer to my emails, unfortunately most times the answer is only “NOT FOR SALE” lol
I am not trying to convince them to aswer e-mails Berkan. I merely confirmed vaughn his point and I understand his frustation. I realize I could have kept this information to myself, seeing it benefits nobody :). Just wanted to state the obvious, with no real concequence intended :). Off course I was not assuming that “he who does not read mails” would suddenly read this and think to himself “oh my god….he’s talking about me, i better start answering my e-mails!!”
more people need to come on the forums
Nothing is wrong, but unless scouting is at 10 he can’t use it all the time…
This way, its posted, everyone sees it and voila :)
btw, what is wrong with the in-game search function?
if the issue is managers not answering you in-game mails, what makes you think they will read this exactly post in this forum and start trading? :)
No, seriously I would like to know how you did think there?
BK
Dimitri, maybe you’re right in the youngers issue, but in my case I like Danish teams. I have good memmories of Odense, Kobenhavn, Aalborg, Arhus, Lyngby… good matches memmories. And Lyngby has a viking as team logo :D
You see me as a fugitive because of this change, but I see it as a chance to create a team from the beginning and to learn this game system in an easier way. For me, my last team required a higher level as manager from me. I don’t know if I’m explaing correctly, but obviously it’s easier to create team and manage in this new Denmark than in other leagues.
And, maybe, I hadnot so will to go to Greece or Turkey because… because yes. Simply I preferred to go to viking lands hehehe
I can confirm this. I send out tons of e-mails. With nice kind words and request. Sometimes with suggested offers. Alot….and I meen ALOT of managers don’t even simply answer “No not intrested”. They simply don’t answer. I understand not all managers are as active as others, but I consider it very rude to not just answer someones e-mail.
some managers are to lazy to respond it seems :) and this is my last resort.
I bet there is hanfull of players to your criteria maybe none, why dont you just use your scouts and contact the managers directly
Ariel Veron can go if there is a big load of money :)
yeah but he was worth every penny :), as most players seem to be with a Tigre history :)
I’ve paid 150M for a 31yo midfielder remember? :P
Will you pay more then 50m for an old player? :)
If you have the mid Vaughn is asking contact me too, I’ll give you more money :D
It’s just common sense, but it’s good to have something we can refer to and update if necessary.
Forum Policy: http://www.rubysoccer.com/forums/5/topics/2037
RubySoccer forums are open to all users to discuss, comment, give suggestions, constructively criticize the game or just chat about it. Administrators and forum moderators exist to make sure posts are not offensive, malicious or unrelated to the purpose of these forums and that topics don’t digress too much from their original subject.
The key rule is common sense. If you want to denounce a possible cheater you are welcome to do so in a non-offensive way. Do not use the forums to resolve personal matters. If you have a problem with someone in particular you should contact one of the administrators or game masters and explain the situation.
Topics and posts found not to be in accordance with the common sense rules expressed above can and probably will be deleted without warning. Offenders may face punishment(s), which may include one or more of the following: dismissal from your current team(s), temporary or permanent ban and other restrictions. The decision will be left at the discretion of the administrators and game masters.
If you need a certain amount of players from your own country, alot of managers will just join a team that is in a high ranked country. Which will result in alot of empty country that are lower ranked. We already have a system for youth development, this should be enough.
