Yeap. But in real life clubs do that because there are Councils, banks and other public staff wondering to avoid their trully big debts

OK, but, have you though in the bubble effect?

Mainly, we all accept that there was an unreal market of old players. Unreal? Look at some Brazilian teams (Ronaldinho, Rivaldo…), many Greek teams and not first line teams buy old players (Mateja Kezman in BATE Borisov, for example), and the greatest example is AC Milan.

Also, if you splash a bubble suddenly, all actors will be economically punished so hardly.

I agree on that change, but I do not agree on making all CPU teams in a development way, because of:

- there is a certain need of market movements superior to the one in the last turns
- there are real teams buying and betting for old, or simply not young, players

So, I suggest to make 2 different types of CPU teams: one as now, looking for very good options to make future, and others searching immediate results (ok, just look at actual FC Barcelona and Real Madrid philosophies and strategies, Barcelona mainly from young players development, R Madrid mainly buying big stars)

Dimitri, maybe you’re right in the youngers issue, but in my case I like Danish teams. I have good memmories of Odense, Kobenhavn, Aalborg, Arhus, Lyngby… good matches memmories. And Lyngby has a viking as team logo :D

You see me as a fugitive because of this change, but I see it as a chance to create a team from the beginning and to learn this game system in an easier way. For me, my last team required a higher level as manager from me. I don’t know if I’m explaing correctly, but obviously it’s easier to create team and manage in this new Denmark than in other leagues.

And, maybe, I hadnot so will to go to Greece or Turkey because… because yes. Simply I preferred to go to viking lands hehehe

Hey,

I changed to a new country, nowadays I’m still alone in Denmark (I think).

But is not so easy as you say. My previous team (Celta, Spanish second division) is trully better than my new team, Lyngby in Danish SAS Ligaen. Maybe I finish at top of the league, but even is probably I do not, because I’m low experienced and my daily real time to stay here is very limited. But it would be nice to perform a team since the beginning, and to have the chance to go out as visitors without being defeated heavily once and once, hehe.

And changing to a great team by other manager is not a choice, I don’t want only titles and being in Champions. Nice, sure. But if a Spanish second division team is really superior to Danish teams (and the other new countries), I doubt that I had a chance to enter in group stage. So, that’s not an answer, dude, :)

Hehe, ok :)

Yeah, L’pool defeat was unveliable, especially for that 5-consequtive-shot occasion.

That’s curious the tackle dependence of attacking, and that’s not really cool. Football is a team play, where anyone needs to his other 10 mates. Well, maybe 3-4 players do not need, as for example Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Aguero and 2 or 3 chosen more.

Anyway, Ruby Soccer is a great island in a plain sea of good football games, with a couple of island in the world. So, long life to Ruby Soccer, but the importance of passing and team block performance should be improved.

Sorry, I continue.

But I agree on the thing that a minimum reality in formation should implemented. I mean, never 2 low mids would triumph over a courtain of quality midfielders. It should be required (I have always though) a minimum of 3 deffenders and 3 midfielders, and 1 GK. Attackers are not always needed. Scotland is playing sometimes with a 4-6-0 formation

Hi,

I would like to reply first post. Firstly, bad luck, dude, sorry for that match.

Secondly, even in reality matches are not always determined by players skills. I mean, obviously, it is expectable that ManU wins Swansea, or Juventus to Mantova. But I remember a Celta of Vigo 4 – Real Madrid 0 in the 90s, 4 or 5 shots from Celta, plenty of opportunities of Madrid. Champion of league in Spain already was Madrid, Celta was near to release. This things happen

Thirdly, hopefully, not only numbers must determine a match result, a little randomness is expected, I think. It would be a bit boring if not

Oh, ok. How many team logos do you have? I have 40, do you need any new?

Danish names and surnames are in your power, too? I can provide it tomorrow

Hi,

I would like sincerely to see, in the classification league table, the data at home and visitor. That’s important since the teams have a bit different performance at home or out, and it would be easier to prepare matches, cause there are teams really terrifying at home, and not truly worthiful as a visitor.

It would help also to define different tactics and formations at home and visiting, and the complexity of implementing it is very low.

OK, very near to send Denmark, 2 divisions, but I don’t Know how to convert logos background to transparency. I have ready the rest.

Working on Croatia.

One question. Does anyone sent you Belgium? I had forgotten when I said the list of countries, but Belgium is an interesting European league, too.

Hi,
Interesting ideas, but I agree on the rejection to better youths for smaller clubs. We all know great youth academies are from Ajax, Barcelona, Arsenal, etc. But don’t forget that there are smaller clubs with very active youth “production”. In particular, in Spain (closer example for me) Leganes, in 2ªB (immediately down to 2nd division) has a great academy, and has forgotten a bit the glory-sport issue of reaching 2nd or 1st division. I imagine other countries clubs would have same philosophy, so it should be possible to implement an option of an academy of youth, but with same options for big and small clubs.

So, there would be managers that would prefer to built slowly the team, and make money with some promises. Others managers would prefer to make a stronger team in one seasson to dispute competitions and change team after getting it.
Both are valid and respectable.

Thnks, I think this will be important for this project sustainability.
For example, HP is going to stop manufacturing or selling PCs, so mobile platforms (phones, tabs, iPod and similars) are going to be cheaper and really more popular

Hi,

The main problem is that from my phone I can’t drag a player to the squad selection. It would be nice to have the option to select players, position and sides in select forms, as the strategies or tactics

Hi,

Celta of Vigo, from Galicia, northwest Spanish corner. I would love to see some Deportivo A Coruña fan here, this year we recovered the derby!!!!

From international football, for our proximity and neighbourhood, I have a special feeling for Porto and Sporting Braga from Portugal, and also for Benfica and Sporting Portugal, or Arsenal from England, Rome from Italy, and Hamburg, Schalke 04 or Borussia Dortmund from Germany

Hello,

Idem as Molinari, but 1 year after. I tried some other days to search a managersim-alike site, but I never found this great place.

I was Lech Poznan and Le Havre in Eurotest the last couple of years, and Zenit in Slowtest.

I’m glad to see a bit of the old MS in Rubysoccer :)

OK, so sorry, I speak too fast, :)

I saw improvements similar to these. I saw maximum value of 3 times player value, but, minimum value?

Well, this is not the topic to the discussion. But I think, returning to the big example, managersim did not create its performing in a little time. It seems Rubysoccer improves itself quite fast, so I think anti-cheats strategies will be implemented shortly as new cheating modes could be discovered. I trust it.

Please, do not let them win. No one would enjoy, nor us nor them.

Greetings

OK, one question.

The list of names and surnames, how long at least it should be? Don’t know, a minimum of 100 names and surnames? 200? 50? 500?

I’m thinking in providing some other European league, kind of Denmark, Croatia, Poland or Sweden. I though about Scottish, but it seems it has been provided.

So, how long that list? Anyone that provided another league could tell me something?

Thanks

Hi everybody,

I remember in managersim I was playing in a slowly matchs-per-week modes. I don’t have too much free time, and Mediumticker is a bit fast for me. I’m standing, and I’ll do, loosing 2-3 consecutive days of seing the team (with its results consecuences).

¿It would not be possible to create a Slowtick mode? Simply, 1 or 2 ticks per day.

OK, about cheating in transfers, I think there would be two reasonable measures:

- make a logic to calculate minimum and maximum value asked or offered for a player (specially important the minimum)
- in managersim there was a limit of 3 operations between 2 clubs per season (including loans and players included in some transfer as part of the payment). It is reasonable, in real life it would be hardly to find more than 3 operations between clubs in a season

Hi Dimitri,

I now about the 1 year delay approx, but I’m less than a week in Rubysoccer. Although, I was managersim player, and I can say that I loved to build the team, I absolutely agree with you on that.

But I love the possibility of chosing between several professional leagues (great the inclusion of American leagues, but I miss some European leagues), and the feeling of hapinness with your team just because you built the team, and you now which are the real objectives (salvation, 5th place, champion, promotion, whatever).

I love, too, the transfer mode. I hate the hattrick-type mode of transfer (not just asking with a single bid, but uploading each second to see if your offer is the higher, obeying you to spend nonsense-hours and hours).

Hello RubySoccer-all!

Oh heavens! How could I have spend so much time in founding the successor of the wonderful soccersim/managersim!!!!

I don’t remember the name of my world (¿3 league matches per week aprox?), but I was Lech Poznan, and during the last months of managersim, Le Havre manager.

I’ll try to expand this site between the old-managersim users I know, and to attrack new football interested.

Presently, Celta of Vigo in Mediumtick!
