I came 2nd in my group in the fast ticker. I am now playing the team that won my group, surely this can’t be correct? I am Tottenham.

Correct, stamina doesn’t count for national squad matches. Not sure how he could have vanished from your team. As you mentioned once the competitions start the selection changes are locked :-/
Yes, it was a “fixed” match. Martin Robillard from Grenoble played with a non keeper youth player in goalie, hence the score. I lost at home to Grenoble in the next CL match but there he played with his first (and only keeper). I asked him (via mail) the reason why he played this time with a “real” keeper. Still waiting for the answer.
I have no idea, selection changes where closed ofcourse so i can’t have removed one at all.
And Rijvers….yes that’s bad…but for international games stamina doesnt count right?

You still have 23 players so who is the player that wasn’t selected at all?
Btw. Friso Rijvers, can he still stand on his feet with stamina 18 :)

Now the final is coming up against England, and the guy is just out of my team?
Vanished! He still plays for his own team, but he is out of the squad?
This is pure competition fraud, it happens in league games aswell by some managers.
If this team wil continue to play with shit players then its more then fair to other managers.
We need a fix for this..
Maybe we need an option at season start where you select X-player that will compete in competitions.

Goto “Configure java” option
Lower your security settings in Java.
When I try to view a replay I get an “Application Blocked by Security Settings” error message which states “Your security settings have blocked an untrusted application from running”.
So…how do I fix this?

Board expectations does not matter.
If you did better then last season (performance) you will gain some points, if you performed worse then last season you will lose points.
Most points come from international matches and then other competitions.
Dont rely on selling players to get alot $$ to conevrt into points!
You probably get 1 point or even 0 from the money you have in bank, its hard to tell how much exactly points you get form $$….. since performance comes into consideration.

I think the problem with this game is not that some week teams randomly may win some stronger teams. This happens in real life too and after all it is part of the beuaty of the game.
The real problem is what Smithers says here, that Ajax for instance never loses. Or Juventus in Italy medium ticker. THis team has undoubtely the best players, but in the Italian league, there are at least 6 more teams every given season which are highly competitive. But Juventus easily wins both titles for the past 20 seasosn or so. This is impossible, unrealistic and destroys the game.
How can this happen? Does the manager knows how the machine works? Are all other managers idiots? Personally speaking, and having the SS experience, I am certainly not an idiot, given that on SS I used to win several titles as well as lose some. But there was never a team to win all titles for that many seasons.
And please, no more “randomness” comments, because random should be for all teams with no exclusions.

500m to spend. who wants it ? i expect what i pay for so dont offer me anything if you dont want to part from the player that im willing to spend 500m for. if a striker must be top scorer in league, if mid must be 8 in raiting defender must be higher or mid 90 tackle high 80’s in speed controll, header, and must be at least an 80 passer.
the scouting search system takes to fucking long to find what i want so ill give a call. not all players that could sell are currently listed. well im offering 500m what are you ? ( to whom is reading this)
That’s weird. I have to admit that when I was last managing a team I didn’t watch the replays so I’m not sure that happened with my strategies. We’ll have to test it again and make sure the sub player is indeed taking the new position rather than sticking to the old one.

The attacker is playing mostly on D C -1 instead of the A C -1 position.
Had several occations where the attacker was last man on the D C -1 position..
I almost thought he would take over the keepers position :)
I won’t rule that out, even though I still believe match replay is just not accurate enough. Another thing I should point out is that our referees are coded to make mistakes sometimes, both ways.
In your example player X will use the newly specified position once he enters the match, zone A side C and mentality -1. The previous player position on zone D, side C and mentality 1 will be empty. If there is no player on the specified position no substitution is going to happen.
You lose points if your total performance + money left was worse than in the previous season, you gain extra points if it was better. When I say performance I mean finishing position in each competition (if you didn’t join a competition you simply get 0 points from that), the league being the main contributor (all teams on div 2 get less points from the league than teams on div 1). Oh, I should also mention that the country ranking interferes with the total points a team gets.
