No, it’s not just you…I’ve been contacted in-game about this problem and have experienced it myself since today’s morning. I’ve already contacted Danilo so we can discuss it together and figure out what’s going on. While we do that I’m afraid you will have to reload the formations page after each change…sorry :-(

There’s something strange happening in the Formation Screen, I can’t make more than one change in the formation board, after doing one I have to get back to the screen and make another… Strange that no one has said nothing yet so maybe its just mine… Is it?

That would be better, one week in FT is too much and if the manager don’t come to the game 3 or 4 days he won’t be too worry about losing the team.
Good Luck Félix, the are some players almost at the end of contract, hope you get it in time :D

I saw that Filipe, it’s a shame! We could have different periods of inactivity allowed for FastTicker and MediumTicker, counting in ticks instead of days. Makes sense to me.

Dirk got it right. You’ll get another message saying you have 3 turns to change the players in the squad. When the european cup is closer to start you won’t be able to replace players in the national team until the competition ends. The same will happen again when the World Cup is approaching.

No, I don’t think it would be bad for the game. It makes sense to raise this initial stamina a little bit :-)

Dimitri answered correctly to Philipp’s concerns, young players’ value will start to increase and, as Jesus pointed out, new players will already start with a higher value, so you’ll be able to transfer list them by a decent price.

@Jesus: the idea is not that the player will become a Superstar, but that he is young enough to possibly be worth that much. With the new rules, if he was worth 100k it would mean his transfer price could be from 25k to 300k, but being worth 1M raises the possible transfer price to 250k-3M, which is a more realistic range, giving the player age.

Let’s see how this turns out, all these changes are easily configurable so no need to worry ;-)

I think you can’t change your squad anymore when the european cup is starting. So you need to choose the players you want to start the tournement with before these 12 turns.

Not sure if this has something to do with the new change but i just got a 16 yo he sucks and he is worth $1,195,978!!!!!!!!!!, does this mean he will become a Superstar? what does this price mean. Is that how youth players are going to be from now on?

The new manager at Guimarães sign for the job and never showed up again… Gabriel think maybe 1 week of inactivity is too much, he should already get fired and now some great young players are leaving for free… I’m seeing my work being ruined :(

ok i see. 87 % of corect pass is decent or not for trying long pass?

And for the shooting range what is better ? A lot of shot and less quality or few shots but more quality ?

The announcement said “young players’ value will be a little higher” but I think it’s more than a little bit? Two of my young players have doubled in value so far.

How do you experience RubySoccer? Why do you play, what is it that you enjoy about it? Does the game sometimes annoy you also?

What I like and enjoy about it is building up a team. Getting young players and seeing them improve. Also in the morning I make sure to login before 10AM to check the result of the nightly league game. And each tick I hope to get ‘Player skills increased’ messages. And I can spent quite a bit of time looking for youths in the transfer market of different countries…

The 30 player limit and the slowness of the game sometimes is a bit annoying, but I guess self-restraint and patience are virtues. Still I’m curious of how my teams will look in a few months.

The young players will get higher values, so I think they will get transferlisted (though perhaps a bit less).

Actually it’s the same in the world cup: qualification for the next round can be decided by drawing of lots (if everything is equal).

There are always two questions important for game elements like this: does it make it more fun for individual players, and is it better for the game as a whole. Getting bad youth players is no fun, but it’s good for the game that they exist. Getting good youth players with low stamina is no fun, but would it be bad (or a tiny bit worse) for the game if they start at 90? If you think it is, I have no problems with it, but if you didn’t really think about it I hope you will.

what about: listing price stays unlimited. but all transfers with a transfer price above 3x the value have to get approval (hard coded) by a GM after the negotiations ?

Cheaters, beware!

Here are some changes that had to be made to prevent (or should I say reduce) cheating:

-Changed player estimated value calculation to consider player age: existing players will have their values updated slowly; the idea is that young players’ value will be a little higher as they usually have a lot to improve whereas older players’ values will be a little bit lower as they are likely to lose skill points.
-Maximum value for transfer price: you cannot transfer list a player asking more than 3 times his estimated value.
-Retiring players cannot be transfer listed (and are removed from transfer list when retirement is announced).
-Limited to 1 the number of players you can buy from the same manager per season.

Some of these changes may seem a little drastic, but it’s better to start with some excessive measures and adjust them later.

Hi all,
A little concern here.
My group games: 2 draws 1-1.
Is the ranking is totally random in case of equality? No?
So what are the criteria for group ranking ?
Alphabetical? no i should be top of the group…
Goals scored? we should all be ranked 1st.
goals suffered? we should all be ranked 1st.
If all remaining group games end 0-0, would i still finish third???

Please enlighten me.

I am wondering about the stamina of new young players. I got a good one, but his stamina is 66. Is this just bad luck? Wouldn’t it be better if they all start with 100? Now it’s like getting a new toy but you are told you cannot play with it for a month…

In the beginning you should try diferent tatics.

Pass distance: more accurate pass = short
If you have a good percent of “correct pass” you can try long to see if it is better.

To have good pass system you need pass skill + control for guys sending the ball and good control for players receinving the ball.

About center or along sides depends of your players and oponents team. If he has a great middle defender you can try along sides pass otherwise you can try center. If you have great header skills you can try along sides to try scoring by head.

I guys, im starting with a new team in argentina and for the begin of the season i’m trying to find the best tactics for the players i have but this really not working very well.

By seeing my team could you guys help me a bit?

And why should i choose short or long passing? center or along sides ? and frequency of pass? For example : If i have good players with passing skill = long pass ?

Corrigido!

Just to clarify for the non-portuguese speakers: there was a bug where you could not resign from your club if you had joined a national team less than 36 turns ago. It has now been fixed.
