Not at present, everything seems to be running ok, thanks.

It was Steven Cass (fast ticker) but now his morale has shot up and he will renew. Not sure if you did something to fix this or not?

So I loaned a young player out and his morale doesn’t improve when he plays games at the CPU team and now his contract is running down he doesn’t want to renew. This seems to be a problem, if players morale doesn’t improve whilst playing for CPU teams.

I can’t play all my squad players so my thought was to loan them out to improve morale, but it would appear that for loans to work you have to loan out players with good morale, which sort of defeats the purpose of either the loan or the morale, does it not?

Ok this seems a reasonable and fair explanation. It’s weird though as, he is my star player! Without him, my team are nothing, as a midfielder it seems like he scores every game, the stats say he scores every other game, but when looking at results if he doesn’t score I am surprised!

With regard to the limited number of stars per country, does this mean that if somehow I acquired 11 new players with stars from abroad this would then impact on the star players the following season? By importing 11 star players, between my new 11 star players and the rest of the league there would essentially be 11 stars lost, or re-allocated?

Looking at his stats he has got better every season in goal ratio and performance. I am not comparing him to other players, only looking at what he has done. I still believe he should be gaining stars rather than losing them, especially as he is a midfielder that scored 15 goals last season. When you get a moment, can you look into this to see if I am completely wrong, or something is not working optimally, or just tell me to stop complaining? :)

Are they working as they should?

I was surprised that my player in the fast ticker “Tony Sheekey” lost a star after last season, despite having a better season than the previous one, so I’m not sure why he lost a star, he was 2 silver, now he only has 1.

Instead of players with critical morale being listed, can there not be another solution? I don’t think this reflects real life, yes there is player power, but just because a player has critical morale, is it not for the manager to decide if they should be listed? Can there not be something like their morale effects other squad players, bringing their morale down, or they become disruptive, or miss training, something that makes me decide their time is up at the club, rather than their morale becomes critical and they are auto listed. I am not a fan of playing a management game, where the management aspect is taken away from me, the manager.

I think the idea of the moral is good, I’m just not personally convinced on it’s implementation at present.

If you plan to introduce training injuries are there any plans to introduce manual training as well?

I have the same issue as Joseppi on the Kindle Fire HD. On the player page the wage and value columns are outside the white box and Stamina is sort of halfway across it. To me it’s not the end of the world, but I guess it’s something to do with the viewport. Things work fine on my laptop.

Once the board sees you’re capable of over performing they will expect that from you again.

But by it’s very nature the original over performance can’t realistically be repeated, otherwise it wouldn’t be over performance, it would have been performance:)

Hence my original question!

There was a postal soccer game – yes I am showing my age here – that for the life of me I can’t remember what it was called, but they used to allow amazing stadium upgrades. You could build executive boxes, seating or standing areas and then allocate which set of fans were in each section, you could also price each section differently. I always thought it added a nice element to the game. Executive boxes brought in silly money but were ridiculous in cost to build, maybe something along those lines. Just a thought though.

Any thougths on allowing us to manage the ticket prices? Or even the idea of allowing us to allocate how many away fan tickets are allocated. So for example if you have the league leaders coming to visit and you usually get a 50,000 attendance, allowing the away team say up to 25,000 away fans? (Assuming all stadiums are 100k in size).

In the fast ticker it is pre-season. So therefore my first team players are getting a little rest.

Due to the implementation of the morale all the players have a morale status of neutral, but their morale rating is at 0%. Is this correct? If they have neutral moral should their morale rating not be at 50%?

“Juan Demichelis’s contract has been renewed. We couldn’t let him leave the club.”

But I didn’t want to keep him, hence the reason for letting his contract run down. I don’t really feel as if I am managing the club(s) in this game any more. If a player gets annoyed, he is automatically transfer listed, the board decide to keep players I want to get rid of. I don’t understand what aspect of management I am partaking in here. Can these issues be fixed? Otherwise I don’t see how people are going to become attached to clubs in the game, unless they are a dedicated Sunderland fan!

How about the idea (slightly borrowed from FM) that when you sign a player you can offer them a certain squad status. The squad status would then relate to their morale level. So if you sign a player and say they will be a first team player then never play them their morale will go bad very quickly, but if you signed a youth and said they’d be a squad player or a potential future player their morale would go down at a much slower rate from not playing.

At present it appears that morale is implemented on a linear scale, having different squad status’ would possibly make this more manageable for managers.

Not sure if this is a bug or just how morale is implemented, but I believe that something is wrong/incorrect.

A player with critical morale automatically gets listed for a silly price (which is something I dislike, but that’s another story). However, if a player has critical morale and is listed, but their contract is running out, you can still get them to re-sign for you. Surely this defeats the whole purpose of critical morale levels? If I’d not played any games and my morale was at a critically low level, why would I sign a new contract?

If this were to be implemented in a slightly better way, managers would actually have to manage their squads and if they failed to do so, players would leave or want to leave and this might finally spark the transfer market into life as managers would be forced to sell players that they probably wanted to keep as squad players. Therefore the more active managers would be able to make offers for players that would otherwise be unavailable and possibly we would have an active transfer market.

6th in PL, top of Europa Cup group and still the board hate me. (Fast ticker – Blackburn)
Your Performance: 3%

This is ludicrous, please can we look into improving how the board view the manager? I mean if I was bottom of the league and out of Europe it would be fair to be at 3% or below, but once you get to a low % of approval with the board it appears to be virtually impossible to please them.

Can the morale feature be represented like the player skills? So it’s visible when looking at other skills, rather than having to click on each player to see their appropriate moral levels?

I don’t understand why players with critical morale are being transfer listed at silly prices. Surely the manager should decide if the player is listed, not the player?

bq/ If we are talking about an experienced player I agree, but if we are talking about a young player that is yet to prove his worth he would be more than happy to have played 35 minutes.

I think personally that there needs to be a difference between playing 35 minutes as a sub and starting the game and being taken off before half time. I am assuming that this is not modelled at the present. I think that morale would improve if you were a young player that came on in the 55th minute and player for 35 minutes, but I still think that if you started the game and played 35 minutes and then the manager took you off 10 minutes before half time your morale would go down.

Players are basically asking for market value wages if I understand the system correctly. I don’t see what there is to complain about. Offer the player more than their last contract (no one wants to be paid less as they get more experienced). Then when the player comes back with their higher demands, offer them that if you want to keep them. As I said before it’s now about player power, rather than managers trying to save money on wages, as this doesn’t happen in the real football world any more.

1) Player morale will initially only be affected by official match participation. A player must have played a reasonable amount of minutes in a match (not 100% sure but I think this is around 35 minutes) to consider he participated in that match. If a player was not eligible to a match due to suspension or injury he will not have any impacts in his morale for not playing.

If I got taken off after 35 minutes in a game my morale would go down, not stay the same.

I think this feature is good, remember in real football it’s all about player power. This new feature, to me represents this.

I mentioned this before, but I can’t find the post.

Why is it so hard to please the board? What do they want from a manager? I’ve almost qualified for Europe in the fast ticker (having written this I will now probably fail to reach Europe) and my appoval rating is at 8%. It has been hovering around this figure all season and I think I’m doing quite well, the club has lots of money and we’re doing ok. What have I got to do to please them?

Is this something that might be revised in the future? Different clubs should have different goals. In real life it is unlikely that Barnsley will win the Champions League, so the board would have a different expectation to a club like Man City. I think this should be reflected in the view of the board and how they view the manager.

How quickly can a player expect another star?

I have a player called Tony Sheekey (http://rubysoccer.com/game/player_info/605635) who is a fairly young midfielder. At the start of the season he was given a silver star. He’s played 31 Premiership games scored 10 goals from midfield and been awarded man of the match 5 times with an average rating of 7.73. To me this is what I would expect to be star material.

Can players gain stars mid season, or is it all calculated and awarded at the end of the season? If it is calculated at the end of the season have you thought about making it so a player could gain a star at any point, to reduce the predictability of stars?

Just to clarify, are you saying that players might want to leave if you offer them a joke of a contract, but as long as you offer a good contract they will stay? Or is it possible for a player just to decide that they have had enough of the club and feel it is time to move on before you even decide to offer a contract?

With regard to contract negotiations, will it be feasible for players to not want to stay at a club? At present I don’t think a player ever asks to leave a club, with the introduction of morale and bigger squad sizes will this make certain players want to move on to other clubs rather than just stay at one club util the manager doesn’t want them? If this feature were implemented it might also spice the transfer market up a little.
