Den Bosch has a manager, who does a better job than the previous one. But now I want to show another team which is interesting to manage.
AGOVV is a former champions league winner, but now the team sucks. The best players are old and all the younger players are crap. They finished last in the Eredivisie.
There is one thing though that makes this team interesting to manage: Stadium: 76,000
I estimate that about $300M has been invested in this stadium.
A lot of rebuilding has to be done if you manage this team, really a lot, but once the results improve you can get a massive income. Which you can use to buy even better players…

Yeah, me and my big mouth :( I lost just as many points in my last six matches as in the 24 before.
That is a very small sample.
Well, thank you. I didn’t mean to stop winning myself also though :(
Do you think the average header skill is higher than the average of other skills?
Gabriel, can you stop winning?
As far as I know, the better your team performs, the more income you get. I do wonder though if getting titles (league, cup) gives you extra income.
I like the Form screen, but it is possible to have the actual position of the teams somewhere included?
Good point Filipe. I saw AZ not renewing a contract of a 25 yr 88 average player… I wonder if that’s a bug or really supposed to work that way.
In midticker, on my main screen:
75 AZ 3 × 4 Veendam Eredivisie
76 AZ 5 × 1 Angelholm Friendly
77 AZ 2 × 0 VfB Stuttgart Friendly
40 Bolton Wanderers x AZ Friendly
78 Excelsior x AZ Eredivisie
If I go to matches, 40 is between 39 and 41, but it does say ‘40 Bolton Wanderers x AZ Friendly’ (as if it should still be played).
An easy championship for PSV it was. Last year 12th place with 53 points, now ending on 97 points… while last years champion AGOVV ended 14th this time. Strange, isn’t it?
Maybe it has to do with European football. The four teams that played Europa League ended 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th! While the number 2 of last year ended 11th this time. Their European performance wasn’t really well either unfortunately.
Now I’m kind of rebuilding, but I guess I have to try to do well in Europe next season.
Gabriel’s Emmen managed to win the Eerste Divisie, while Den Bosch with the 88 average first team was only 15th. I suspect an other manager would do better with the team.
19 years old, 80 tackling, must be someone interested?

(warning: a bit of a whine)
It’s really frustrating, I have two youth players asking for a contract and I would like to sign them both, but I only can if I fire a player (or manage to sell one after all) :(
I have a player who at age 26 (beginning of season) had these stats:
73 85 77 80 83 88 85
One season and 50 ticks later he has these stats:
78 99 77 81 83 97 85
So he gained 14 points on passing, 9 points on control, 5 points in tackling, 1 point in speed and no points in dribble and heading.
I am happy with his development, but I wonder, is it common (or not uncommon) for players to develop a lot in a few stats, and not in others?
For stats lovers I also have those at age 25:
69 85 73 75 81 87 83
It is a strange competition. Last year PSV only ended at the twelfth place, now my team made 34 points in the first 12 games… I have no explanation for that apart from luck/coincidence.
And the four Dutch teams that will compete in the Europa League are at places 14, 15, 17 and 20.
I wonder if there is a secret ‘in form’ factor.
Price of Rojo lowered: 35m. That’s cheap for an 91 average defender, I think.
Also some other prices lowered.

I’m also not happy with the change. Steve stated it well, but just to add: the part of the game I enjoy most is trying to improve a team, but it’s hard to do in the current situation, so now it’s just less fun.
I’m jealous!
Unless PSV relegates :)
But it should be possible to get your team to 88 average, though you miss some veterans for away games.
Maybe yes, but I’ll continue here anyway. This is interesting:
138 Felipe Santos - - Manager fired by Admins.
136 Felipe Santos => Gabriel Cesario Damiano Assunção 2103327 Transfered from Gama to Emmen
As some of you know, I tried an experiment in the Dutch league where I hopped from club to club, pimping the club with young players in the mean time. The result of this experiment is that the Dutch league is very strong, and a difficult one for human managers. I’ll give some examples of the strength of the league. I’ll use the average stats: while that doesn’t say anything, it does give a good indication.
One of the team I pimped is Den Bosch. The average of the first team is 88. This team finished last in the Eredivisie… we have a manager at risk here, and he made mistakes, but still.
My team (PSV) is the highest human managed team, only at the 12th place. After two championships in a row the league turned out too tough for me this season. It won’t be easier in the coming seasons.
Now down to the second league, called the Eerste Divisie. Here we see at the eight place Emmen, which is the new team of Gabriel Cesario. A good choice, a young team of 87.3 average.
The other human managed team is De Graafschap. After rebuilding the team the manager is waiting a few seasons already for the results to get better, but his 82.3 average only gave a 19th place. And while his team is improving (in average stats), so are the other teams…
So the current state of affairs is that the computer managed teams are beating the humans. This might happen next season also. Or will Gabriel manage to become champion?
Alas, he is not for sale anymore because of game rules.
Some other players I’m selling:
A young keeper worth 5M for 1.3M
http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/player_info/207154
And two young defenders:
One valued 3.9M, for 1.8M
http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/player_info/213124
One valued 8.5M, for 4M
http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/player_info/191208
I didn’t qualify for European football this year, so it’s a good time to do some rebuilding. That’s why I decided to sell my superstar:
Blasio Rojo: defender, 91 average (92 tackling, 100 speed, 100 dribble), 45M
Also some other players:
Inácio Viana: defender, 88 average, 15M
Tokaç Ilker: Midfielder, 83 average, 2M
Jan Linssen: Attacker, 83 average, 3M
Take a look at PSV, http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/team_players/636
If there are any other players you’re interested in, just send a message.
AZ sells his top keeper (98 keeping) for only 1M. Well, he’s 36, so he might retire next season, or maybe the season after, that’s why you can get him for a cheap price.
http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/player_info/69728
Actually Holland might be tougher than England or Spain right now. But maybe I should make a seperate posting about that.
Or maybe make it so that you can only sell a retiring player at minimum price?
The bench on the formation screen has the following function: if you want to remove a player from your main formation, you can do it by dragging him to the bench. That’s the only function also.
Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!
I see the results normally.
So if you buy a 6.4M 18 yr old for 5M it’s cheating!?
