OMG, I thought I finally found a player from argentina who is awesome and has nothing to do with Tigre….

Antonio Islas……..
Position: A
Side: RC
Keeping: 37
Tackle: 86
Passing: 89
Shooting: 98
Speed: 100
Dribble: 99
Control: 100
Header: 100

44 20 265391 Transfered from Tigre to Eintracht Frankfurt
42 36 N/A From free transfers to Tigre

I think he’s doping his players or something :). Even when they leave they suddenly turn into superstars! :)

Lowered all players prices, can´t lower Marty’s because it is already lower than the board allows lol
Emilio Lanza still improving, the others no. Prices take that in consideration…

In real life managers can change the positions some players do but it takes much time and usually many bad performances in the new position. However managers can’t chose which position a player stars his career. In time we should have the possibility of changing position (with much hard work) but I think youth players should continue random. It is hard when you are trying to build a team with players from your academy but it must be hard or we all would be doing that and there would be no transfer market…

“other manager fined” means that some financial penalty, I suppose. Hopefully it was a big one.

Doesnt seem that way. He’s still coaching Cruzeiro. Though kinda feel bad, cause he used the money to buy two of my players… Well it’s your call.

Really don’t like it too when a manager enters a team just to buy or sell players then just leaves without even completing a season.

Currently the way the game is setup with the player being automatically generated, you receive youth players with an affinity for a particular side of the field i.e. L, LC, C, RC or R. The flaw with automatically generated players is you can get a player for which your team already has plenty. I.e. receiving a leftside player when you already have alot of leftside players.

My suggestion is the following:

1) Get rid of the side positioning and have the players being usable in all positions (L, LC, C, RC, R); or

2) Enable manual control over the assignment, in this case the arriving player gets assigned his position on the field by the manager to suit his requirements.

exactly dimitri, it comes down to personal preference. what’s important to know is that there’s all kinds of leagues available for all styles of play.

on my part, i do little scounting but i still enjoy developing players so i develop mostly players from my youth academy (not as good as tigre though :P )
the trick to ruby is to keep yourself entertained. make new friendships and develop rivalries. most of my rivalries are within france. i have 2-3 close friends who play in france and those are the teams i HATE losing to + another few managers i regularly interact with to complain about losses :)

Actually The Netherlands is a very interesting league right now. Especially for managers who like young upcoming players.

A few examples,

  • Almere, the number one of the Eerste Divisie. Their squad has 22 (twenty two!) 18-year olds. If they’re already strong enough to win most of their games now, how strong will they be in 7 seasons from now?
  • Den Bosch. The four 19-year olds have 80, 78, 77 and 75 average. The five 18-year olds 77, 74, 73, 72 and 72. And there’s a lot of 17-year olds with 70/71 average. (I’m the manager now, but I will gladly resign if someone wants to take over).

And there’s ADO, AZ, Zwolle, MVV and many others, all teams with mainly juniors.

The job if a new manager would be to develop the young players by letting them play a lot of games. Optional is to scout from time to time to add some new juniors to the list, but most of the scouting has been done for you already.

If you think that seeing your team/players become stronger is one of the main charms of Soccersim, come to The Netherlands!

As a matter of fact the hardest work for a young manager is in France and not England. For the sheer fact that England has 6-7 top clubs-managers that would make your life a living hell every season. Of course, that’s an ideal environment for every proven manager who wants competition, but not for newcomers who would end up being slaughtered.
England, despite the already respectable number of managers, lacks such competition, hence, every newbie out there with some skill can progress pretty quickly. England is, in a matter of speaking, a fresh market to explore and succeed. And the fact that the country has improved steadily in the last decade shows that the future is bright.
Come to England boys and girls!!!

I used to play in netherlands back in managersim/soccersim days. i did find it enjoyable playing for smaller leagues but at the same time, i feel the amount of time i had to put in the game scouting and developing was a lot higher. right now scouting is low priority for me, therefore i play in france so i can avoid scouting and all…

The board values your team and compare to the other teams in the competition. They compare a certain number of players I dont remember how many but it is more than 11, so you can have a worse 11 than another guy and still be considered better team because the other guy only have that 11 and you have a more complete team.

Being considered better has some advantages but it can be bad for your board, you need to balance that…

Well you said it all, if people like to sit back and enjoy the work of other people they should join France, no doubt. If on the other hand you like a challenge and hard work join a smaller country, one with new teams rising, where you can contribute for the country growth…

Cheers

It was considered cheating and the involved managers were just punished today (fake manager identified and banned, other manager fined). Thanks for spotting this Joseppi!

why would they? That’s hard work….and you don’t know if you can do it. In france…THE WORK IS DONE! Just sit back and enjoy the ride of the #1 tanking.

Who are you kidding here Filipe. France atm just has a strong backbone of managers, and we aren’t giving up that #1 spot any time soon :)

you get a bad result if a team is worse then u and u lose, u get a good result if the team is better then u and u win. At the beginning of the season the board compares all the teams and with those results they put the expectations up.

However, if a team fires 3 players in a season and buys 3 new players the expectations are outdated and won’t result in a good result what the board says.

For example, if the number 1 team has 11 players of avr 90 and team 2 11 players of 89 normally you get a good result if team 2 beats team 1 and team 1 will get a bad result. However, if team 2 buys 3 new players from avr 95 and get like 92 avr over 11 players they won’t get a bad result if they lose from team 1 since team 2 players were worse at the start of the season.

correct me if i’m wrong here :)

Are there set rules?

60million for a 30yr old keeper?

Was just noseyin through some teams and spotted this. Surely this cant be allowed? Im not claiming its cheating but its giving money to another club over 3 times this players value.

Update from version 0.3.0 to 0.3.0a

Change:

  • Fix not saving player skills

@Dimitri: It is possible, but at this moment I´m out of time to figure out how to do it.

Hi guys, I would really thank if you discover the secret development and how to know who had become super players. I remember that a few seasons ago, had several players who would retire and I thought: “-now I have chances to have at least one dispute”. To my surprise, when I saw his players after renewal, several players were “100.” It is not easy to dispute the Argentine league when you have a “Planet earth team” competing with you. If you need any help with this monitoring, I have interest helping and trying to figure out how to build super players.

Thats exactly why people should join England, seeing a country raise in the ranking because of our performance or building up a strong team without having great youths makes it much more interesting :D

Great work!

I have one more request. You are supposed to edit the script, so to include your team number. However, I manage two teams, one in both dimensions. It is possible to change the script to facilitate managing two teams? For example, something like this:
var MyFtTeam =
var MyMtTeam =
