@Berhan: I think I was not clear about that, small countries CAN generate a superstar, the limit is the same for all countries, the difference is only how often that happens
I agree with Filipe, we need to do something more though.
How about making some series of “how to play rubysoccer” on youtube etc..
Any publicity is good publicity, making t-shirts with rubysoccer or womething like that, etc..
We need to get back to the old school stuff as in the days of Soccersim, it’s so much nicer and cooler to contribute than complain like an old lady expecting miracles..

first thing you can do, ban yourself for 2 weeks <3
Country level of youths also happens in real life, is not by accident most of the top players come from a small group of countries like Brazil, Argentina, Spain, England or France… It is the result of a long history with the sport and investment in youth improvement.
In the game the way we have to know where is the best investment its the team performance in international competitions, I think the randomness of the game already makes it possible for lower ranked countries to have great players, Argentina have the top players in the game and never reached the 2nd place of the ranking… They probably in average have not as good players as France but that’s how it is suppose to be, if not there would be no point for the country competition we see around here :D
Hey Davison, pay no attention to the game you’ve been playing for a few years now, they have made it for free and in their own time but hey, just details…
Gabriel, good stuff, almost, and I’ll tell you why.
I don’t know if that is what it means but as I read it I get the feeling that a “small” country can never have a superstar player compared to the best players in the best countries?
I know there is no Messi elsewhere but there are many players at the level slightly bellow Messi in many not so great (in the rankings) countries. Just a thought.
I like the idea but get the feeling that you have set a limit to it, maybe I am miss-interpreting things, could be it.

I can’t tell much more than what’s in the announcements topic. A simple way to see it is that player generated in a given country sometimes will have his initial skill values determined as if they’ve been generated in a better ranked country. If a country has a very low rank you’ll see a higher diversity of player’s quality, but of course they will be mostly below average players when compared to better countries.
dont know why cos non of those countries are gonna fill up any time soon ( in my opinion) but its cool and all but well other things are more important eh danilo ;) :P
is this gonna be a secret ? :D
Already in place.
I’ve just made some changes to the youth player generation so that smaller countries have a higher chance of generating better players once in a while. As a result the average quality of players should raise (no changes for top 2 ranked countries). I don’t want to reveal too many details of the change, but you’ll notice it when a good amount of new youths appear or, even better, when new countries are added ;-)
Cheers.
sounds interesting, can’t wait to see what it is. :)
Apperently making new countries is a very high priority.
ill be a moderator :D <3
I see we’ll need forum moderators as ManagerSim had. It is a completely separate task that admins and GMs shouldn’t be worrying about.
^^ ooOoOooO wat is it :D
Too many unanswered questions :-)
First things first:
Q: How does the Champions League and Europe League work now? I see there’s an extra qualification round?
A: There’s no extra qualification round, we just needed room for the round of 16…oh, didn’t I mention European competitions now have 8 groups instead of 4? :-D
Q: Perhaps the #3 in the (CL) group stage could go to the EL?
A: Trying to reflect real life where some CL teams go to EL is interesting, but I have some other plans to make international competitions even more interesting. I won’t tell you what it is just yet, it will take AT LEAST 1 more season to implement
Q: You guys are talking about a reset. Do we know aproximatly when and why?
A: We don’t have any formal plans of a reset yet, I just mentioned it cause depending on how we change the player development system it could be worth resetting the dimensions. The idea is to postpone the reset until we have enough changes to justify it.
I’m really happy that you guys enjoyed the new countries, it took me a lot of time to put everything together. Before anyone complains I should be using my time to improve other areas of the game I must say I only spend time gathering data for new countries when I’m in a place or using a computer where I don’t have access to my development environment, so it’s either new countries data or surfing the internet :-)
I’m doing something more interesting, hopefully to be released later today. I’ll give a few more details when I announce it but the idea is to raise the chance of smaller countries generating good players once in a while. Stay tuned.
k well then what are you doing then ?
what improvements will see soon and when
Hey Davison,
We have better things to do than to keep telling people what they already know here in the forum. Next time we find ourselves forced to waste our time with this kind of behavior, we will be tempted to ban you from the game for a while. Please refrain from posting without thinking in future.
My suggestion is the following:
Have all countries regardless of country rank receive the same quality of youth player in regards to their starting stats. After this you randomise the players stats so you get the difference in the players total stat at the end of their development.
Doing this relies on the skill of the manager rather than being in the best country.
berhan can suck it
From Berhan K in the Announcements topic:
“Fantastic stuff, the new countries!!!
I was itching to take on a team in Sweden, but I’ll stick around at EPL, beating Davison is too much fun. Besides I guess someone has to make it harder for Filipe, most team give him easy points anyway. ;)"
You guys are talking about a reset. Do we know aproximatly when and why?

Well, the advantage you have is that you can play with youngsters and still compete in your league.
Also, Galatasaray has made the final in the champions league before. So being in an weak country doesn’t mean you can’t compete internationally.
^ mb that i stand up for what is right unlike you
Hey,
I changed to a new country, nowadays I’m still alone in Denmark (I think).
But is not so easy as you say. My previous team (Celta, Spanish second division) is trully better than my new team, Lyngby in Danish SAS Ligaen. Maybe I finish at top of the league, but even is probably I do not, because I’m low experienced and my daily real time to stay here is very limited. But it would be nice to perform a team since the beginning, and to have the chance to go out as visitors without being defeated heavily once and once, hehe.
And changing to a great team by other manager is not a choice, I don’t want only titles and being in Champions. Nice, sure. But if a Spanish second division team is really superior to Danish teams (and the other new countries), I doubt that I had a chance to enter in group stage. So, that’s not an answer, dude, :)
Ah what’s this Manchester??? Ah yes, someone has to collect 2nd place behind the mighty little Cardiff :D
!!!!
@Filipe, B and C squad.. hehehe,
Man, people have let you dominate for too long, if only 3-4 more teams would not let you win too easy, then we would have seen another thing or two, but prepare to step down this season, your days are numbered champ!! :)
Very exciting with the new teams, it would be too easy to take a team in a new country and dominate there, like many other managers you can see in countries with 1-3 human player managers. Not much challenge in that in my opinion if the only thing you trying to achieve is finals in champions league, but all are free to enjoy different things in life of course.
