Rather than doing it by player, do it by manager.
What I mean, is that a manager has a scrap book type thing, that automatically updates when players stats improve.
It would say, for example
June 1st Coach Report: Player John Smith improves Tackilng. Passing
June 2nd Coach Report: Player John Smith improves Tackiling
June 3rd Youth Coach: Youth player Paul Jones improves Passing
June 4th Board Report: Player John Smith is sold to Liverpool
Being able to filter this list by player name would be good as well. You could also add scouting information in there too – if a player is being watched by your scout you could get reports
June 5th Scout report from Ringo Star: Liverpools John Smith loses Passing
June 6th Scout report from Paul Mcartney: Macclefields Peter Kay plays well, scores a goal
June 6th Scout report from Paul Mcartney: Maccelsfields Peter Kay improves passing
At what point do we know a player won’t improve? I’ve had a youth player in my main squad for 12 games and no stat movement at all.
He’s actually my third best striker, so he plays 100% of the games.
Do “normal” games (ie league and cup) count more to this “level” than a friendly? I’ve had a youth player in my squad for 5 games now and haven’t seen any improvement.
Is there any way to see if a player still has “Potential”? Some sort of report that gives a general reasoning (“This player could be a much better midfielder”, “This player is unlikely to be a better striker” or “This player is at the peak of his game”)
No Idea is a bug – but my youth squad has increased quite dramatically. from about 6 to 12 youth players.
Maybe you could move away from having to “make” money?
So, for example at the beginning of the year, you get X amount from the board as regards to player purchases, depending on the position you were in last year, what your current salaries are, your reputation as a manager, and what money came in through selling players and crowd gates. Maybe the manager can “Request” extra funding which is either denied or accepted?
This could also put stadium construction into the Boards hands – we did well last year so we’ll increase the stadium r we didn’t do well last year so we won’t increase the stadium size.
It could also allow some sort of “takeover” and cash injection type options? Team does well, they are taken over and given a cash injection etc etc.
There could also be the reverse of this – the boards makes bad decisions and are forced to release or transfer list players?
Hmm, I’m at about -100,000k and no messages yet.
Whats the procedure for going bankrupt?
Just bought a couple of players, and it looks like by the time I get my next home game I’ll have negative money.
What will happen?
I’m not sure if this is correct, but I’ve only just noticed it.
A couple of days ago I updated contacts of some of my players, at the same time I think I also let a youth player “go”.
I can’t be 100% positive, but I’m pretty sure one of my first team has moved into my youth team.
Colchetser United, Beta1. You’ll be able to see him as he has 70+ shooting.
Not sure if I should put this as a bug – but it seems to be better to play with more attachers and midfielders than with defenders.
If you look through my fixtures (Colchester United beta1), I’ve had some funny formations (which were choosen accidentily) but seem to get some great results.
Or maybe I’m a tactical genius.
I also have 2 emails

Both maybe?
Bold for in default formation, and a colour for “in the lineup for the next match” (or vice versa)
Players that are in the current formation should be highlighted on the squad page.
