They are for loan, simply because I want to give as much play time to every youth I have. I can’t loan out 70 stat players, but these I can loan out. I’m ok with relegating or ending really low in the rankings. Rebuilding simply takes time. These are my motives, before anyone in here doubts me or thinks strangely of the fact I loan out my “best” players :).

Well cups can be a bit of a crap shoot. I recall being 2nd like 4-5 times in a row with the best stats. Just never was able to beat that damn Monaco in the cup final :).

Getting shots is 1 thing, but scoring them is another. If for example your attackers don’t have very good stats, they might shoot yes…. but it’s not hard for the goalkeeper to save it. So the stats would say you have alot of shots, but you got to ask yourself….where they good shots? You can have “window dressing” when it comes to stats. For example, simply putting shooting on long will give you alot of shots. But like I said…. who says they are good shots? shooting from far outside the penalty area will decrease the chance of the ball going in. Don’t let the “stats” fool you. Many managers make this mistake.

@Davison: I really don’t want to take the piss, but what championships? You won the EPL in season 23. It is now season 37. You know the engine has changed alot right? I’ve changed my tactics god knows how much because of those changes. It never hurts to experiment and try to find something new that works. If you feel you lose tomany “unfair” games, perhaps it is the tactics? To much focus on getting alot of shots instead of getting possesion? Perhaps visa versa…..?

If that happens every game to you Davison, perhaps it’s you and not the system? :)

in all fairness when it comes to league games i accept it, because everyone has them. So in the end we all have an “even” amount of unfair losses. The CL thing just felt horrible for me, especially after winning it last season!

I feel sorry for you Philipp, but for us french teams it was good to see you being struck by the Eindhoven nightmare :)

Hello everyone, this is the CL winner speaking :). Thanks to you all for those kind words. It’s nice to finally win the CL after all those seasons of being so close. Strange enough, I feel like I didn’t deserve it 100% this season. I had some games that could have gone either way. Luckely it was my time to finally shine and they went my way.

I’m very proud to see France dominate this hard. I’ve tried allong time to get france on the map. I’m happy to see we are finally on top. No more “competition is the hardest in spain”. Please……..if you people want a challange, come to france and see if you can win a league title. Which reminds me, nice win Patrick. You made Luc Blomme proud I’m sure :P

I hope my fellow french league managers will cheer me on in the Club worldcup. You to Dhimitri :). I hope you will keep a small spot open in your hart for france, and remember you were part of the revolution :P

Regards,
Sylvain ‘Sly’ Dingenouts
Brest Manager

Very good! This is indeed marketing. In this situation it’s a case of “bad product pricing”. His asking price is just way to high. I’m using his insane price to convince potential buyers that my price is ultra low, while in fact it’s not really very low. It’s the correct price. People just think it’s very low, because of a similar product that is just to high. This way of pricing has a name in marketing, but I forgot what it’s called. Usually 1 compagny does this with 2 of his own products, to push the consumer into buying the lower priced product, and convincing them its the best deal, since another product which is only slightly better (in this case, the player is 1 year younger) but has double the asking price. In this case it’s triple the asking price :).

You now learned a very simpel marketing trick :). We are the scum of the earth you know :)

Don’t do it! Check out Jair Bezerra

He’s only 1 year older and more then 1/3 of the price of the player Galeno Rodrigues.

group G and A are the touchest. Group E isn’t that tough. I think we (the dutch) can’t complain about our draw. Couldn’t have been much worse.

I found something intresting. I know this player isn’t “the best” in the game. Far from it offcourse, but because he spend most of his years in division two this player has a scoring ratio of 1.78 per game. We all know the likes of Alberto Chaves in this game, who is in many oppinions the best striker in ruby. His scoring ratio is 1.62. Offcourse he does it in one of the hardest leagues in Rubysoccer…..but still :). I think this unknown player has done something pretty funny :).Have a look and see for yourself:

Is there anyone out there, perhaps also in a division 2 who can beat this scoring record?

Btw, Francois, don’t feel bad getting “lucky” vs Napoli. We all get our share of lucky and unlucky. Some more then others :). If Napoli didn’t have “his share of luck” in the group stage he would never have been 2nd in the group and he wouldn’t be in the quaters. Guess his “luck” just ran out and it was time for him to get “unlucky” :P

I replied to you in game and I’ll say the same thing here. I don’t call you stupid as a person. I think in general TL ing players “you don’t actually want to sell” is stupid. It’s not you Damago :)…don’t worry….I think your an ok guy :)
