No it isn’t possible. You need to select a position which you want to substitute, but you can substitute him by the best available player on the bench.
At this moment you could select a substitution based on the result at a specific time or you could select an event (injuries or red card).
Will the ticks in medium stay 3 hours later now?
Since almost nobody is answering an ingame message, I’ll try it this way. I’m searching for a 92+ defender with decent secondaries and a midfielder with at least 88 average.
I want to pay a fair price and no outrageous prices like some players are transferlisted for.

I just have sold my keeper Fischer for 60M. He was on the transferlist for 40M and more than 10 CPU were bidding. I was wondering how far CPU’s would go so I changed the price to 60M. Still 2 CPU’s were bidding and Kickers bought Fisher for 60M. I don’t think a human team would spend the amount for him. He’s good but not that good.
I agree CPU’s had to be smarter and buy the players they needed but IMO they need a logic that tells them if the transfer price of a player is cheap, ok or expensive.
Wow CPU team blow their money away in mediumticker.

My team Spain only played friendlies.
2 young players on the loanlist in Malaga. They only will become better! Take a look.
- Santana is a promising goalkeeper who is still growing every couple of turns. You can loan him for a longer period if you want.
- Carlton is a young striker with already a 96 shooting.

Be quick before a CPU team buys them!
It’s hard for loaned players. You can start to substitute them. They only have to play 55 min I guess. (Or was it 35 min. Not sure. Gabriel?) This way they don’t loose 3 stamina every turn.
You will automatically take over when his performance reaches 0%.

I mentionned the bug to Gabriel when I lost Bordeaux due to the holidaymode-bug. I was fixed but clearly not for everyone.
@Felix: I agree with Charles. For Ulisses and me it’s too late to return to our teams. The new managers have made changes and give the teams their own touch. For Philippe it could be possible.

If you can’t pay Filipe’s goalkeepers take a look at Evaristo Bustamante (Malaga). ;-)
He isn’t that good as Paiva and Delcroix but he also has a 93 keeping and 93 speed. He certainly will save the points for you. Bustamante is still improving and probably he will improve when playing for a 1st league team. He played he’s whole life in 2nd division and deserves better. Take a look. He’s cheap for a young promising goalkeeper.

@ Frank: Too be sure I would ask Gabriel to check it if I were you. For some managers the holiday mode works as it should be. For me it didn’t and I lost both my teams.
If I were you I would search for a pc during these 2 weeks so you could login for a minute ;)
It can’t work like that Felix. Otherwise you can never be on holiday mode in both dimensions on the same time.
I first went on holiday mode with Bordeaux and afterwards I logged in for Torino to activate the holiday mode there. In both dimensions I was fired.
Anyway, I just want to prevent of being fired again when I go on vacation again. :)

Enjoy Bordeaux Hank. Looks like I did something wrong with the ‘holiday mode’. I thought I set it right. Half a day too late :( Pity I can’t enjoy my new formed team.
I’ll have to started all over again now :’(
For me going on “holiday mode” after every time you log in is a kind of abuse of the holiday mode. Some managers aren’t away for more than a week but go on holiday mode everytime they go offline. I don’t think it wasn’t made for this.
You could f.e. freeze the performance % when you’re on holidaymode so cases like ulisses’ won’t happen anymore. The manager didn’t cause the mess himself. Only thing is you can’t implement such a rule when managers can use the holidaymode every time they logout.
You can be offline 7 days without being fired. So why don’t you change the vacation mode so once you enabled it you can’t log in for 5 days. This way it is only usefull when you’re really on vacation and not everytime when you’re offline. I think it’s the only way you can decrease the abuse of the holiday mode.

Why don’t you add a similar ranking for teams for international competitions like you have for countries? You take the points a team earned in the international competitions in the past seasons and let them influence your formula. Let’s say 50% (like it is now) and 50% (individual team points).
This way teams like Man Utd or Galatasaray who normally play 2nd round (and earned more points that way) will be seen as more important by the system. They won’t be the 3th team in the group?
You can still use my suggestion when you make the step to 8 groupes.
