Following up on the previous announcement I’ve now added breadcrumbs to all pages I could find that was missing them. If you do find yourself in a page where you think there should be a link back to some other page please don’t hesitate to contact me in-game or post a message here in the forums about it.
I never said they didn’t have more money, I’m pretty sure they do :-)
The wage cap is based on your current expenses (players and investments) and the player’s worth. My guess would be the team getting these players has more money and/or less expenses than you, but you can message me in-game if you want me to double check everything is alright in the game logic.
In regards to CPU teams loaning players with such high wages I have a task in our list to look into that. They should not put themselves in financial danger to pay such wages.
Fabio’s reply is correct, player is replaced precisely at 35 minutes, assuming the rule’s conditions are met or if there are no conditions to the rule.
@Dr. Gullit we’re aware the new system needs improvements and that depending on player profile he may not achieve his best before it’s too late, which is definitely not fair and unrealistic.
You may or may not have seen the additional breadcrumbs added recently to the Finance, Investments and Friendly Invitations screens. What do I mean by breadcrumbs? For example, when you’re at the Finance screen you now see at the top:
Countries / [Your Country] / [Your Club]
I have also added a new help page in the manual about player contracts and included a help icon linking to this from the player contract information box, the players contracts screen and the contract offer screen. Old players may feel this doesn’t add much but these little things are most needed to improve the game navigation and understanding for new players.
Player hotlists now show the player age and also icons for those who are transfer listed or loan listed.
Scout reports can now be deleted from the scout reports screen.
Press releases now include the season and turn they were created, and new ones created from now on will include the manager who wrote them.
Back to work with 3 small changes:
- Scout Reports screen now shows most recent reports on the top
- League table reverted back to original layout with Pts on the right hand side and no (%) column
- You can now cancel and re-generate coach reports from the Coaching
Cheers
This is going to happen and the (%) column will be removed. The poll results indicated that most people liked the new column but disliked the position of the points column. As I said before I feel this is more of a Brazilian thing and don’t add much to the game, therefore I’ll just revert back to the original league table layout.
Cheers
I also agree with you guys. We have a task in our list to make CPU teams have a better planning in terms of negotiating players, including how much to pay for them. This is not an easy task tough as we rely heavily on CPU negotiations at the moment and we don’t want to kill them with such a change.
Done, will be online in a few minutes.
I’m starting to think this is a Brazilian thing…lol! I can see that in Brazilian football tables but couldn’t see it in a couple other websites with English and German tables. Well, I’m not a big fan but I’ve got used to it the way it is.
Anyway, I’ll leave it for now and wait for any further feedback. I like the idea of making points bold, may give it a try before giving up.
The Evolution Stage coach report has been tuned so that the estimates for the main skill potential are within a more reasonable range. Even though there will always be an error margin in the numbers they should vary less between two runs of the report for the same player now.
Cheers
The league table now includes a new column showing the percentage of points won. In order to better accomodate this new column, the number of points has been moved to be the first statistic, right after the team name. The percentage column is not displayed in international competitions groups, but the points columns has been moved there as well.
It’s very simple to move things around or revert it back in case people dislike it, so make yourself heard if that’s the case ;-)
Cheers
Those rankings consider the last 100 matches played by the team/manager (if I’m not mistaken), so definitely more than one season, sometimes more than two. For every match you get a score depending on result (victory, draw or defeat) weighed by the opponent quality. That score then replaces the oldest score from 101 matches ago in your total. For new managers the scores are added up until there are 100 of them, then the next one will follow the replacement rule just described.
I’ve also noticed it is maybe too hard to make players get transfer listed by CPU teams. We need to find the right balance so it doesn’t become too easy! Something like big club clause in the player contract that would make him accept a lower wage in exchange of being automatically listed if a “big” club is after him could help with this.
Regarding randomness in the reports I think the scout ones have improved a bit, but I still need to address the issues in the coach report.
I think it makes sense. The thing is when I changed the evolution system I only changed the improvement logic, not the logic that makes the players start to lose skills. I’ll add a task to review this and make it variable depending on how old the player reaches his peak.
I’ve been away from the forums in the last few days, too busy with real life! I hear your concerns about coach and scout reports, I have a task to address this and make them more consistent and a bit more reliable. I have no idea why they behave any different in MediumTicker than in FastTicker, that shouldn’t be the case at all.
With regards to player evolution model and the fact that national squads have only old players I agree this is not realistic. I’ll try to bring forwards the ideas I had with the youth academy to add more variety to player profiles, including allowing younger superstars.
I’ll reply in Portuguese and English. First, Portuguese:
English version: the question is about not being able to make an offer to a player and the explanation is that the club’s financial situations needs to be regular or better for the board to allow you to spend more money with players or investments, which means 12 times your fixed expenses or more in your money balance. For example, if you spend 800k with wages and 200k with investments you need to have more than 12M to start spending, and you can only spend the excess, so if you have 14M in the previous example you can only spend 2M on players and new investments.
Cheers
You’re right and I don’t think we have any in the current model. I think I should add a few more profiles to cater for such superstar players. Maybe influenced by a new youth academy investment area?
I agree with you guys on this, I already have a task on my list to improve coach reporting accuracy even when the players are younger so that such huge differences between two reports happen less frequently. In terms of player evolution I think I should point out that the maximum skill values a player will achieve is not set in stone at any point in the player career up to the point he actually achieves such values, so no matter what I do it will be impossible to guarantee 100% coach report accuracy, and that’s a good thing of course. The report estimate is based on how many times a player will improve (a number that is pre-determined and possible to evaluate at ANY point in the player career), using that to determine an average number of points he is likely to improve in the main skill, and finally adding an inaccuracy factor, which is exactly what I need to reduce.
I hope I’m making sense…lol.
Thanks for the feedback!
Psychology Investment Area
Would you like to have an investment area for Psychology? It would influence your player’s pressure handling and probability of receiving cards in a match. Do not worry about cost yet, just consider if you would like it or not.
55% Yes
12% Yes but I would prefer it to have a different role
33% No
Let’s get the work started!
New rules for managing and applying for a national team:
1) If a national team has been free for more than 36 turns you can immediately join as a manager, no need to wait for the tick
2) If a national team has been free for less than 36 turns you can apply as usual and your application is processed in the next tick, we don’t have a minimum waiting period anymore (used to be 12 turns)
3) You can apply for a national team even if it has a manager
4) You can apply for a national team even if you are currently managing one
5) A manager is only fired from a national team if he performs below expectation in the continental competition or not above expectation in the World Cup AND another manager is applying for the job; if nobody is applying the manager is not fired
Please let us know immediately if you see anything weird in the job application process for clubs or national teams ;-)
That’s actually an interesting idea to be explored in the future :-D
I can see a few options here:
1) Do not allow profiles where the player improves more as he gets older when his max potential will only be achieved in his 30s. This way you would have just a few improvements left and have a decent player earlier on in this scenario.
2) Wait for the Youth Development investment area that we have planned (but not confirmed yet) and see how we can use that to address this issue
3) Add the ability to use your coaching department to try and accelerate player development by changing his evolution profile
For now you can decide it is not worth keeping such players because of the risk, it is understandable. I have one player that was like that and I had to be very patient to get him to where he is today…still think it was worth it. Have a look at Ronaldo Angelim in Flamengo, FastTicker :-)
Shouldn’t be too hard, I’ll add to our tasks :-)
I agree with you, they are varying too much, especially in the early stages of player development. I should also probably point out scout reports were too optimistic sometimes because they were not taking into account how much the player had already improved in the current season, that’s been fixed 1 or 2 weeks ago. In any case, I’ll add a task to our list to make the coach reports less crazy.
All match report links should be fixed now, please let me know if you still have issues from any pages.
The Match Report screen has been re-designed to have 4 tabs: Report, Statistics, Replay and Commentary. Report and Replay should have no surprises as they have the same content we had before, the only difference being that player statistics are now in the Statistics tab instead of directly below the Report. The Commentary tab is a new addition and contains textual commentary of everything that happened during the match. The text is the same that is displayed below the field in the Replay tab, this is just another option of reviewing the match events.
Cheers
Some things are recalculated periodically and statuses are updated. For example, on season tick countries may have moved in the ranking and that impacts player statuses. Other things happen periodically such as re-evaluating the teammates quality, team ranking and wages being paid.
