A friend of mine suggested that. I know it would be useful when buying a player for instance, but I have my doubts if not knowing it is good for the game. Anyway, let’s discuss that and see what everybody think about it :-D

Cheers!

No Philipp, another goalie will be used to replace the banned one or, if no goalie is available, the available player with the highest keeping :-)

What Alexandre meant is the “best” available player no matter the position to replace. So in your case you had a banned midfielder and got a striker to replace him. That means your “best” available striker (highest shooting) was better than your “best” available midfielder (highest passing), if you compare the striker shooting with the midfielder passing. Of course this “best” concept is far from accurate and also that is not what you wanted, you wanted your formation to be 3-5-2 and that’s what’s gonna happen when we fix it.

Cheers!

Another controversial point Filipe, whether or not national teams will have managers. When the time comes we’ll see :-)

Cheers.

Understood Filipe :-)

You’re right, sometimes they accept these 50% reduction. We’ll have to work this out.

Cheers.

Leagues have names now, so instead of simply calling them Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, we call them by their real life names like Premiership, Serie A, 1. Bundesliga, SuperLiga and so on. Let us know if there is anything wrong with the names added.

Cheers!

I agree Philipp, contract clauses are on our plans, it will certainly make negotiations more interesting.

It is possible to reduce Filipe, but not to a compatible wage. I mean, if you pay 100,000 to a player when he would have accepted 10,000 you won’t be able to renew his contract for 10,000 in the first renewal. Anyway, maybe he should accept a reduction, but not a big reduction as they accept sometimes.

Cheers.

Nice ideias. This whole economy stuff is very complex and a sensitive part of the game. I agree we need to study it better to improve the market and make the game fun for everybody. Certainly we must associate some special rules for teams that are near to bankruptcy and for those who are already negative. It’s not just a matter of firing the manager.

From all the things you guys said we currently have only one in the game, maximum wages, but this maximum is still too high probably. I wish we had more time to implement things faster, but don’t worry, we’ll keep doing the best we can with the time we have :-)

Cheers and thanks for all the suggestions!

We don’t have a good mechanism to forbid the manager from buying players. What we can do is reverse the transfers or fire the players as you guys suggested. We’ll see, the problem here is that our game allowed that, so even though it is not a good practice it was considered “legal” by the game logic. Unfotunately we may have to live with that. The good thing is that won’t happen again after the new rules have been implemented and there is more to come regarding managers changing teams in a short period.

Cheers!

That’s good Philipp and it has been requested a long time ago. Now that we have the 3-turns rule is a good time to start thinking about this change as well. Thanks!

In order to avoid last minute arranged transfers we’ve implemented a new rule to players on transfer list and free transfer. They will only reply the proposals after being free or transfer listed for at least 3 turns. If you make a proposal to a player that has just been transfer listed for instance, you’ll get a reply only after 3 turns, when the negotiations will carry on as usual. Things will remain the same if you make a proposal for a player which has been listed more than 3 turns ago. This 3 turns counter will be reset if the player’s price is changed during negotiations.

Hope these changes help keeping the market a fair place.

Cheers!

Thanks Henrique, we’ll investigate and discuss possible punishments. By the way, this shouldn’t happen again that easily, I’ve just added the rule I mentioned above.

Not legal, I mean, we simply have no ways to prevent that with the current logic and not enough history data to analyze and punish the people involved. I agree it is not fair, but how would it be proved? It is our fault, I know, but that will come to an end soon, I promise :-)

Cheers!

No…guess I know the next improvement I’ll be working on…

I’ll implement the 3 turns rule for transfers. The player will reply to proposals only 3 turns after being transfer listed or 3 turns since the last change to the transfer price. That way we prevent last minute arrangements.

Cheers.

Thanks Ricardo! We’re definitely looking for a new server, specially with root access to our account (which we don’t have right now), paypal acceptance (not that we get much money from donations, only 40 or 50 dollars so far, but we want to be prepared if we start getting more donations), 30-days money back guarantee and any kind of ruby on rails support (not really necessary as we can setup everything with root access).

We’ll soon have a donations and expenses information page, so everybody can clearly see how the money is being expended (from donators and ours :-) )

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Cheers!

You’re right manuel, the server speed got much worse these days, I’m not sure why as we haven’t changed anything that could cause this impact. We suspect our host may have changed something on our account. We’re trying to find a good and affordable host, hopefully we’ll try to migrate again next week.

Cheers.

Filipe: objectives will work similarly to what I described about bankruptcy, they will influence the board opinion about the manager, so the situation you described (being fired after winning the league and ending in 5th next season) is not likely to happen.

Cheers.

Nice post Celso and I totally agree with you. When we add the bankruptcy rule we will warn everybody, specially the ones who are already negative so they have the chance to recover. The ideia is that negative managers will lose points with the board and be fired if the situation persists after a while. We still need to discuss the details, but that is what I have in mind so far.

Cheers.

Don’t worry, he’ll ask for a contract soon, I’ve just checked. It may take up to 2 seasons for youth players to ask for a contract.

He’s been inactive since december 18th, so by the current logic he will be fired when he is inactive for one month. I know one month is too much time, we’re just waiting for the holiday mode to be implemented so we can reduce that to something like one week.

Cheers.

Previous seasons is in our plans for all cups. The hall of fame ideia is nice, to start with that we will create a history record for when a team is knocked out of a cup before the final match.

Cheers.
