Not legal, I mean, we simply have no ways to prevent that with the current logic and not enough history data to analyze and punish the people involved. I agree it is not fair, but how would it be proved? It is our fault, I know, but that will come to an end soon, I promise :-)
Cheers!
No…guess I know the next improvement I’ll be working on…
I’ll implement the 3 turns rule for transfers. The player will reply to proposals only 3 turns after being transfer listed or 3 turns since the last change to the transfer price. That way we prevent last minute arrangements.
Cheers.
Looks like you have lots of players Aron! Just kidding, I’ve added that to our list.
Cheers!
Thanks Ricardo! We’re definitely looking for a new server, specially with root access to our account (which we don’t have right now), paypal acceptance (not that we get much money from donations, only 40 or 50 dollars so far, but we want to be prepared if we start getting more donations), 30-days money back guarantee and any kind of ruby on rails support (not really necessary as we can setup everything with root access).
We’ll soon have a donations and expenses information page, so everybody can clearly see how the money is being expended (from donators and ours :-) )
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Cheers!
You’re right manuel, the server speed got much worse these days, I’m not sure why as we haven’t changed anything that could cause this impact. We suspect our host may have changed something on our account. We’re trying to find a good and affordable host, hopefully we’ll try to migrate again next week.
Cheers.
Filipe: objectives will work similarly to what I described about bankruptcy, they will influence the board opinion about the manager, so the situation you described (being fired after winning the league and ending in 5th next season) is not likely to happen.
Cheers.
Nice post Celso and I totally agree with you. When we add the bankruptcy rule we will warn everybody, specially the ones who are already negative so they have the chance to recover. The ideia is that negative managers will lose points with the board and be fired if the situation persists after a while. We still need to discuss the details, but that is what I have in mind so far.
Cheers.
We need manager ranking first, and we’ll have it :)
Added pagination to national and international cups, this way you can see previous seasons results.
Cheers.
Hahahahah! Nice one, added to our list. Thanks for reporting, nsg1974.
Cheers!
Don’t worry, he’ll ask for a contract soon, I’ve just checked. It may take up to 2 seasons for youth players to ask for a contract.
Thanks everybody for replying, looks like it works :-)
By the way, the regular address seems to be ok now: www.rubysoccer.com
Cheers!
If you received our mass mail test, please reply to this topic. A few replies are enough for us to check :-)
Let us know if you didn’t receive anything, not even in-game message.
Nice suggestions, keep them coming guys :-)
He’s been inactive since december 18th, so by the current logic he will be fired when he is inactive for one month. I know one month is too much time, we’re just waiting for the holiday mode to be implemented so we can reduce that to something like one week.
Cheers.
I agree with you guys. Looks like we have a lot of work to do :-)
Cheers.
Previous seasons is in our plans for all cups. The hall of fame ideia is nice, to start with that we will create a history record for when a team is knocked out of a cup before the final match.
Cheers.
That info can be found in the Cards screen for the players mattyb. There you can see the card status of all players in all competitions.
Cheers.
smithers, it will be hard for us to reschedule this match, specially now that the cup has advanced one more round. We apologize for this situation and I assure you we’re doing our best to improve the game experience (we’ll soon move to a new, and hopefully better, server).
Cheers.
Is that possible that you had a suspended or injuured attacker for turn 24 match? If that’s the case our logic would not necessarily substitute the suspended or injured player with someone in the same position (we’ll change that in the future).
Cheers.
The player was removed and then put back in the transfer list. Looks like an arranged transfer. I apologize if that’s not the case. Anyway, this won’t be a problem anymore when the transfers negotiations last at least 3 turns as we’ve made with loans.
I’m sorry that happened to you :-(
Cheers.
The objectives will be a good addition, for sure!
Sounds good Philipp, I’ll add that to our list.
Managers are not fired for going bankrupt yet. The only change recently made is that the system blocks an offer for a player not only if you don’t have the transfer value, but also if your money less the sum of your open proposals is not enough to pay the transfer value. For example, if you have 2.5M and have an offer for a 2M player you won’t be able to make another offer for a player being sold for more than 0.5M
We need to work on reasons for firing managers, bankruptcy could be the first one :-)
Cheers.
A blank page could work…and the xls thing for a specific country is not that bad if you think that can be done manually country by country…but I’m still not fully comfortable with the ideia :-)
Cheers.
About the default filter: I changed it to Transfers to speed up the screen in the first access, so those who doesn’t want to see all types of transfers could reach the desired screen in less time.
About the transfers email: really lazy way, huh? :-) It certainly would make the server work lighter, but would spoil the fun of looking for a good player on different countries, specially when more countries are added.
Cheers.
I have just thought of another suggestion to this 3 ticks minimum. If you make a proposal to a player that has been in the transfer list for more than 3 turns things will work exactly as they are working now: if the player accept any proposal he will go be transfered during the tick. If there are proposals to a player who has been in the transfer list for less than 3 turns he there will be no reply on the proposals until 3 turns have passed since he was transfer listed. After that he will be transfered to the team who offered the best proposal or reply to all teams with a new proposal, if no proposal was accepted. That will we would prevent instant or “arranged” transfers, which I believe is the goal of this 3 ticks minimum discussion. What do you guys think? (Loans would be changed to work the same way also)
Hotlists, hotlists…no, we didn’t have that on our list, but I’ve just added :-)
Cheers.
The 404 errors happened due to changes on our environment to improve user experience. It is being a painful process and we may need to tweak it a little bit more, hopefully without unavailability periods (at least no longer than a few seconds)
Cheers.
It took some time until someone finally decided to ask this in the forums :-)
Unfortunately the answer is no, but we’ll have Home advantage in the future. The only advantage for now is that the home team earns money from the tickets sold :-D
