In the category internationals I’m wondering if somehow the caps could be seperated from the normal stats of a player. Now I can see the player has been selected for the national squad many times, but looking in the history I can’t find any caps that the player actually played.
Besides,when joining an international team, it’s hard to find the top-players based on International experience/ performance. Once I immediately dropped an attacker out of the national squad, just because of his skills. Afterwards I found out it was the all time topscorer of the national squad with many caps played…
His successor had great skills but somehow didn’t perform in international matches.
Looking forward to it!
Then it would be great if the analytic section could be improved. Now it’s hard to compare player performance during several matches against different opponents with different tactics. It would be great if analytics could be done on player performance based on historical data related to tactics/ player position / opponent tactical formation.
I’m still thinking about having the option to close a contract with a satellite club on an annual basis.

Regarding the youth development ‘issue’, wouldn’t it be an idea to go for an additional investment area called ‘youth’?
In the first levels it could increase the effect of the investment in ‘coaching’ for younger players. Similar to what already has been mentioned as one of the options in this topic. This effect could increase until a maximum level that will be reached in level 4 for example. One of the questions here is if you should limit the effect to the age when players will reach their full potential (x% of potential reached) or to a fixed maximum age (21yr?).
From, for example, level 5 you could think of having a satellite club (similar to what many clubs have in real life) to stall some players.
From level 5 to 7 you’re bound to choose a second division club from an inactive country (then these leagues have also a function) where you can install 1, 2 or 3 players depending on your investment level. This player will then be placed here for a full season and cannot be used at all by your own team. The club of your choice can be selected in the first couple of turns of every new season (because of promotion/ relegation the clubs you can choose from will change each year). I like the idea of a payment per match, so the bigger clubs will bring money to these clubs, which enables them to become stronger as well. Depending on the coaching level of the satellite club, it might be more or less money that you’ll need to pay per match.
For all other youngster that stay at your squad, the effect of the investment will stay similar to what has been reached with level 4.
From level 8 to 10 you could think of having a first division club from an inactive country as a satellite club that will not play International matches. And again, from level 8 to 10 you could limit the number of players per level from 1 to max 3 players per year.
The interesting part here is that depending on the type and number of youngsters with potential in your squad and their need for development, you can play around with your investment level.
This solution secures us all that a least three potential players will have the option to develop to first division degree. At that time they’ll probably be interesting enough for many clubs for loan period for further improvements.
And for all other less talented players there’s still the option for a loan/ being sub from time to time or just training to develop themselves….
Still it makes sense that it takes time to develop talents and it can last several seasons before a player reaches his full potential.
To my opinion such an investment area should only have an additional a coaching effect on players until they’ve reached 90/95% of their full potential or are max. 25yr. Then the coaching investment should take take over.
(To make the solution more future proof, you could also think of a system where you can select a satellite club from countries that are ranked at least 5 places lower than your club’s country. In this case even active managers of less developed teams could send out a request to become a satellite club, when they are in need of money and some talented players.)
1. When you select the player position, the additional info (non-scouted) dissapears.
2. All players on my hotlist have been scouted once. As scout reports exists for limited time only -> how does this affect this new feauture? Will the scouts keep updating the scout-reports from now on?
3. How to scout the non-scouted players?
Hi Alexander,
You’re not alone here. I Agree, the coach report in columns in the player screen could make it much easier to pick and choose players. Especially if you’d like to sort on some specifics.
Talking about extra columns…
Another thing what could be nice is to add the award section to the statistics/ stats page as an extra column after MoM. Now there’s no overview for all players.

Okay, I understand, otherwise the low ranked countries would never make it to the top. So for Germany it’s good to see that with the results of the previous years, the country moved up on the ranking. Now hope that the CPU teams will follow this development in order to make the next step.
How are the point for the country ranking being calculated. It seems a bit odd this year for Germany. Even now Germany has won the European League it delivered almost no extra points. With the country ranking becoming more important for player development, it’s important to have a clear calculation.
Belgium ended this year for example with ~36000 points, with 1 club (Visé) only reaching to the round of 16 of the finals of the Champions League. Germany had also 1 club reaching to the same round. So I expect at least the same score here. However, on top of that, Germany had also 1 club reaching to the same round in the European League and 1 even won the title! How come Germany ended with ~29.000 points only?!
Thanks for the explanation! My expectation of how the new training system would work and would impact players choices was different.
Especially for the players that can only improve this season by playing matches in the top 3 countries or in a country that’s at least ranked 3 positions higher then the players home country. I expected the player to be smart and to choose automatically for a club in one of these high ranked countries. Especially if the players home country is ranked already in top 10 for example.
Good to know you can’t leave this decision up to the players. That’s probably also the reason why you created the option to reduce the number of clubs. So at least as a manager you can influence the players choice by raising the bar for the variable that selects automatically the weakest team.
(Just for my understanding: you’ve probably created this ‘weakest team’ rule, to give weak clubs an option to improve as well)
What’s the logic behind the choice players make to join a club on loan? Now one of my players got the chance to join a club in the premier league of Spain/ Portugal and England. Much higher ranked leagues then the German league I’m in. Compared to the current players in their squads my player would definitely be part of the team and play matches. The experience of playing matches in one of the high ranked countries might even lead to some skill development. So why would this player choose for a club in Peru? A country that’s just a bit higher in rank than Germany.
Great outcome! It’s definitely related to my suggestion. And I agree, offering a contract is much more direct. Does it somehow relate to player morale of the player you’ try to buy? Or doesn’t this makes sense, now it’s immediately up to the player to decide to leave or not? I like the idea of the number of outstanding contract-requests that influence the moral of the current squad. You should definitely build this in in order to keep control of managers going to the market too much. Good luck with the implementation!
I think the new model could work and attract new active managers, if a transfer model would be added that enables managers to show interest in potentially good players.
Now, a scout search gives managers some insight in the potential of players, but now it’s hard to acquire these players, because these players are hardly put on the transfer list. This potential (although not completely reliable) gives us the chance to know a bit about the reach of a player. The coach reports doesn’t unfortunately. To adapt to the new evolution model quickly and to build a new squad, I would like to get hold of a mix of some interesting potentials and some developed players.
What if I could show interest (for example by putting a player to my hotlist), and that based on a mix of variables:
- country ranking;
- club ranking;
- manager ranking;
- star players in my or existing squad;
- likelihood to play (compared to other players my squad);
- likelihood to leave club;
the players’ morale is affected. If a big club shows interest, it might be that the morale drops in a few rounds. If a low ranked club with few star players shows interest, it might be that it takes quite a long time to lower the morale of a player (let’s say 70 to 100 rounds).
The interesting part is that in the last case, it’s up to the manager to decide to wait for this player, or not. In the meantime a bigger club might perform a scout search and show interest as well. This could affect the morale drastically, which causes the player to have himself put on the transferlist rather quickly. Both clubs can put a bid and it’s still the player that decides where to go. Maybe he would still choose the low ranked club, because the chances to get playing time are higher. Off course the big club can still add this player to the hotlist again, but then the variable ‘likelihood to leave club’ could do it’s job. Because this could be reset after a transfer, and might be increased during the contract. After one or two seasons the player might be willing to go to this bigger club after all, if the player is still on the hotlist.
It also forces me as a manager to do something with my talented players, because the chance that someone else (CPU or active player) shows interest is always around. If they don’t play that much, the likelihood to leave variable is probably high, even though morale could be okay.
I would love to have such a transfer function in the game. Not just because it’s more realistic, also because it enables me to follow a certain strategy and adapt to the new evolution model more quickly:
- do you go for a squad with completely developed players
- do you choose to grow a squad and try to develop all potentials
- do you go for a mix, and follow a strategy to grow and still be competitive
Besides it would be great if the CPU controlled teams like my potentially good players as well. So they’re hired for loan or the CPU team shows interest (following my suggestion). So it’s not just about the current skills of a player. This is especially relevant for youngsters, that have a lot of potential, but where the coach report states that they will reach their potential at an older age.
It shouldn’t be too hard to add this to the game, since most variables are in place. Only likelihood to leave / play should be added. These could be hidden variables.
Even without this suggestion, the game is still fun to play. Keep up the good work.
